He is in line to be a top 5 QB for years to come with all the old guys going out. He was basically a rookie last season as he spent his actual rookie season under the only other NFL coach that was worse than Rhule. First season with a real HC he won a playoff game. Im not sure how deciding between Stroud and Young results in a different outcome then. One guy has the tools for the NFL, the other doesn't. At least AR has the tools he just needs polish.

Drafting young basically limits your playbook on offense to compensate for his size in trade for some schoolyard plays when everything breaks down. Stroud plays pro style ball and the playbook will not suffer. If anything we should be deciding between Stroud and Richardson.

No to Hopkins, it has already been stated he is not good for a rebuilding team. He does not practice during the week, he dosent know how to juice without getting caught, he has a injury history, and he is on the wrong side of 30. Nothing about him says he will be good for a rookie QB.

We dont have to do anything this season, he is under contract for this year. We could franchise him next season if he is asking for elite money. It could go either way, he could finally be elite, and earn more next offseason, or we could pay him now and he still just get 10-11 sacks and sucks big time against the run....
