Calvin Ridley suspended for the 2022 season
onmyown replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
don’t mess with peoples money…child abuse rape assault carry less harsh suspensions lol -
Thing is - they are either way. The difference is, this way cripples the future. It’s just really hard for fans to envision losing Gilmore, possibly Jackson, and Reddick, seeing Rhule evaluate FA olineman wasting more money on Irv/Elf type signings, starting center is gone (though he wasn’t great, have a single top 100 pick and then marching down to the field with Darnold or Tribuski or a rookie and pulling out a winning season. I mean it’s a sign when worthwhile players and coach don’t want to come here. You’re basically asking Rhule to do much much better with an even worse team than he already had. It’s not hard to see why fans don’t really thinks that’s possibly or being realistic, and so to fug up the future Hurney style to do it is a bit confusing. But you’re totally right. Rhule and Tep have fought tooth and nail to avoid a proper, inevitable rebuild and it’s baffeling.

Maybe, all depends. In state, likely. I don’t know OP situation is or NC law, but if he is divorced or separated, a lot of states will take any custody you have if you move out of state. It happened to my family in Michigan. My dad nearly went bankrupt because of it despite having a great job offer out of state. And he most likely can’t take kids with It’s an absurd law considering things like child support. Custody laws are complex and in a lot of ways complete BS for a male.

Yea, that’s what I thought.

So his best fit was not where he was a ROY finalist and would’ve won had Young not played a flashier position? And he fits in the FS where he does not display his best skills? Can you articulate to me what Chinn has shown at the NFL level at FS this far, that supersedes his year on the outside and justifies movement to a less valuable position despite thriving at the other? I’m genuinely curious of your analysis.
-
All I know is Chinn needs to be moved back…the idiocy of this franchise, how anyone can look at his 2020 rookie performance and turn around and move him is beyond baffling. And then there’s rhule

active in FA? After Thomas and draft picks they will be like 10 mil give or take lol Moton isnt really a big deal, great olineman with no injury problems, flourished under different schemes…money to performance, even overpaid or dead in future is NOT what the problem is people, quite the opposite regardless, this is nothing compared to what is to come mark my words panthers need to and will truly fug up a couple more contracts (like shaq) to be active in FA then you may bitch

i mean we had last year to get mac or fields…you can say you don’t like them but at some point you roll the dice and develop someone unless you tank we had top 10 pick 3 years in a row…that’s really as good as it gets unless you tank i think this franchise is just too high on moral, non strategic victories should’ve tanked in 2019, where are all those moral victory fans? Probably still partying celebrating that win vs Saint third stringers…the reality and irony of it is they’ve probably lost interest

Liberty QB Malik Willis met with the Panthers
onmyown replied to MechaZain's topic in Carolina Panthers
i mean he traded a high 2 for a guy that will never be ready even after playing for a few years -
Apparently Rhule spoke to Charlotte reporters
onmyown replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
when he has no choice because he’s depleted resources trying to win now and trying madden cheat codes to defy nfl history and become a path maker only to fail and look like an idiot and tep told him to stop the crony bulls hit and get experience and then put a leash on him…hopefully -
Judging from Fitt's Comments, Reddick isn't coming back.

when you waste cap and throw money at cam to appease fans, Anderson, Thomas, Erving, Elflein, Teddy B, Paradis, and sam Darnold along with paying your LB and RB almost 40m, …it will be a struggle to keep your 5 win team together -
It’s not really possible. The cap has been destroyed from idiot moves. After Thomas, there is enough to sing draft picks. Signing just one decent players takes a lot of work, maneuvering and restructuring. Bunch of idiots.
-
isn’t that true only if they don’t sign anyone in FA?
-
Per interviews this idiotic franchise thought they had a legitimate shot at making the playoffs granted we were 3-1…after defeating the almighty Texans and jets and saints’ waterboys
-
Seems little too cheap hack and slashy… shallow content, no depth. Not true? Can I complete the entire world in <30 hours? If so, no thanks.
-
Definitely. Not only that but wages are increasing as well. A lot of are realizing they need to pay to keep good people, and those paying poo are struggling in a time when there are tons of options. Not saying everything is roses, but not the worst time to be looking by a long shot.

law shouldn’t be reactive it should be proactive its not a big deal because the drunk driver didn’t hurt someone else? fialing to stop, going into oncoming traffic…history of 91 in a 65… are we saying this behavior is all good, no one got hurt…until someone gets hurt? does that really make sense? what if more behavior does hurt someone in the future…any liability after a slap on the wrist now? some of you have some hardcore criminalistic thinking errors, and your history probably shows that too regardless, it’s clearly an intelligence problem and that’s hard to fix

I *think* what was implied is to identify potentials up and coming coaches that will be a good fit to hire after Rhule is done not so much an interim. Of course there is a lot of unknowns this early so probably not much can be done other than keeping an eye on someone but for the people that are staying like Fit and DM, possibly just have thoughts ready to be discussed at that Thanksgiving date do in the likely event Rhule is gone they’re ahead in discussions and process. That is how I read it anyways. Basically have an idea/plan around end of November. And trading for Watson with his legal stuff in the air would be horrifically detrimental to this franchise or any other. There is no reason to give up anything for unknown possibility including one where he doesn’t play again. You absolutely have to wait at least until April 1 to see if this goes criminal.
-
Is there nothing said for common sense, logic, reading between the lines anymore? Surely you don’t imply a courts decision as a bonafide compass for innocence or guilty? Innocent until proven guilty is n reference to a legal proceeding, not a condemnation, and certainty not a process meant to disregard common sense and logic.

To be objective, let’s list pros and cons: Cons: -Hurney, and furthermore trusting him with contracts and a coach search -Showing inexperience, ineptness and embarrassment by thing like trying to interview capable GMs while not possible as Hurney was GM -Refusal hire help, doing it, and failing, himself -Hiring Rhule, too much to point out here -Rhule’s contract -Rhule’s control from draft to cronyism, and in essence trying to defy history’s couple of blueprints to success; trying too hard to be a path maker -Not firing Rhule, and yet to be seen but sabotage the franchise future even more so, performance has gone downhill somehow coinciding with destroying a healthy cap -Allowing poo to be thrown at the wall instead of focusing on targeting capable people to conduct meaningful evaluations and analyzations -Goes into hiding, which would be fine if that was his personality, but judging by the past two years that’s not true - he’s hiding -Disregarding PSL owners with things like putting his revenue first (getting rid of end zone seats fuging their owners etc.) -Changing tradition (keep pounding), ignoring game day experience for the most part -Most likely fuging tax payers and doubling down fuging PSL owners with a new stadium (wait and see but likely) -Just needs one more losing season to solidify the worst era in Panther’s history, and as a historical below average team sitting on top of the bottom third of the NFL in many categories, that’s saying a lot -Claiming success takes 5 years or according to Rhule, 7 years, another embarrassing and distraction, clearly a statement from inexperience and possibly complacency, but probably true for his strategic method of throwing poo at a wall -Leaving the franchise to rot while focusing on side projects Pros: -Logo at midfield -High tech practice field, moving on from Wofford (thanks god) -Including SC somewhat more, though this was more a revenue play I won’t go into Cam. He’s clearly done and didn’t want to play without an extension. So that wasn’t the mistake. The mistake was not having a replacement or capability to find one, for several years and ongoing. Not looking good.

April 1 is when a lot of legal poo is going to play out, including the conclusion of whether criminal charges will be perused by a grand jury. In my opinion, that will be the main deciding factor for a lot of teams - nothing will happen before that date. It will determine if all this stays civil. Keep in mind the NFL will still do what they want suspension wise. In addition, as far as discovery, therapists speaking out in Watson’s defense has been ordered by a judge to disclose who paid for the legal fees, and other financial interests, of the (if not more, there are 18) therapist(s) because it was claimed they are doing this ‘voluntarily’. This has most likely has already been written up, sworn to and submitted to the judge but as an investigation that is ongoing, it’s probably information that we will find out out later once there is resolution, if it comes out. Think what you want of Buzbee, but he knows what he’s doing. And/or has a lot to work with, which is a given in my opinion, as logic, discovery we do have, and common sense says Watson is not completely innocent. As of now, the only thing happening is discovery is being reviewed by all parties but primarily, the DA office. Because April 1 determines how the lawyers are going to angle themselves in this case. On the one hand, criminal charges in itself supports and is huge evidence in any civil suit. On the other hand, dismissal of criminal charges is going to mean lawyers will be playing a strictly civil suit angle, which will certainly not be as much of a ‘slam dunk’ with criminal charges but still very possible. Something to be aware of, and where this gets messy for everyone, is the DA can press charges and go for criminal consequences even despite victims deciding they want to drop the charges (because they’ve been paid off). A lot of DAs will drop it at this point as a case is all but dead with victims who won’t cooperate, but it all depends on the evidence and some political elements such as making an example of a high profile athlete, metoo movement etc. With so many victims though, it’s unlikley ALL of them won’t cooperate. I’d bet against that - thought some victims will be more relevant than others. So in essence criminal charges give very solid basis, almost guaranteed successful civil suits. However the lack of criminal charges don’t affect whether there is basis for a civil suit or not. Any team claimed to be willing to trade before April 1 is just setting themself up in talks, getting their foot in the door. That notion is an empty conviction or media wanting clicks, or not knowing better. No one in the right mind would trade before then.

BREAKING NEWS Deshaun Watson now willing to be traded to CAROLINA
onmyown replied to Woot's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s virtually impossible to guess what will happen, the amount of and specific information needed is not something everyone is privy to - and aside from that very important factor, you simply can’t guess what a jury, judge, state prosecutor will do when presented with such information, course the latter would be easier to do with the former, but still not fail proof. That said, it would be incredibly stupid a try and obtain Watson before his legal situation plays out unless there is some sort of clause, but even a clause would be very complicated if not impossible due to retroactive and obviously unequal capital ie specific draft picks and capital that cannot simply be replaced. This probably isn’t as simple as a ‘conditional pick’. Another personal perspective point from someone with experience - settling is the only way at this point. He is not innocent. You simply do not have this kind of case with nothing. You do not have this kind of magnitude with nothing. It would not be allowed. Problem is, some victims are refusing to settle. This actually might be a rare instance where some care about the truth out there more than money. That tends to happen when you have a mass amount of victims vs. a couple. All it takes is one. Some are even willing to take the money and drop the charges with the exception that the truth/evidence is allowed to come out (refusing nondisclosures), but won’t do so otherwise. Watson has refused this. Funny, isn’t that? So in essence I can’t begin to fathom anyone, even amateurs, in the legal realm that would advise for this without it being resolved. Then you have what the NFL will do which is a whole other topic. It is a monumentally horrific notion and the fact some huddlers even consider this absolutely blows my mind.
