  1. Let the SMOKE begin! Let's drop hints about a QB ... knowing another team wants him bad. Then they'll trade with us to get him ... and we'll end up with the one we actually want.
  2. Hey, at least we won't have to be antsy and wait for our pick in the first round.
  3. Look, rookie QBs usually have a rough first year anyway ... we weren't going to go all the way with him and Moore. If the pick pans out ... we have his entire career to give him weapons at WR. People need to think about the future. If we get the franchise QB we're sitting better than a hell of a lot of teams. In the meantime ... FA WRs out there: Adam Thielen DJ Chark Odell Beckham Jakobi Meyers JuJu Smith-Schuster Mecole Hardman Darius Slayton I think it's all going to be just fine. And we ALL know which WR will be in the Draft next season! Maybe if we take our lumps we could have Stroud throwing to Marvin Harrison Jr.
  4. Hey look, a QB drafting thread! FINALLY. We've needed one!
  5. Haven't read the thread yet ... but of COURSE the majority of the Huddle doesn't like him. He's "boring". Not "flashy". Not "electric". Christ, a 1/3 of this board wanted Zach Wilson lol. Give Levis a headband and have him scoot all over the field and the Huddle would be in love.
  6. Yeah, I think as great of a poster Mr. Scot has been on this board, his age really shows when it comes to Twitter. He's used to newspaper journalism and TV news ... where what's reported has been fact checked. He has yet to learn that Twitter is not reliable AT ALL ... even if the person has a blue check mark. He posts Tweets 24/7 on here and assumes it's gospel IMHO. The biggest way to tell if a Tweet is pure opinion is if they use the word "sources". A source could be a trainer, social media kid fresh out of college, security guard, BOA stadium concession stand delivery guy, etc. who "heard something" and then told someone else, and that someone else told a "reporter" who then tweeted it out. Nothing is fact checked anymore. Twitter is the wild west. If it doesn't have "on condition of anonymity" ... ignore it, Mr. Scot.
  7. To this thread late, but I say GOOD for the GMs if true. You don't become a success in the business world by not being careful with your money. Contracts are getting higher and higher ... and there's no reason they should. You keep letting players ask for more and giving them it, they're just going to go higher and higher. I'm mostly joking, but maybe not, that we'll see sports first billion dollar athlete in our lifetime. I mean, we're already half way there. How much would you pay Mahomes? 600? 700? Hell, we already have people in here upset that the Giants gave DJ so much lol.
  8. Hey look, another (insert Draft QB) thread that could've been put in the mulitple draft threads!
  9. Lamar isn't even going to play his usual 12 games this season. I bet he only plays 10. He should be sponsored by Goody's.
  10. Who are some previous guys who had contract disputes that got tagged, and how did it turn out? I know there was a major one some years ago but I can't for the life of me remember who. I want to say a DE/DT/LB or a WR. I sort of recall the same guy got tagged years in a row??
  11. No, I'm saying most Giants fans wanted to get a deal to get done and that Jones didn't want to "come home" to NC.
  12. Scott Fitterer certainly will discuss and has discussed Lamar Jackson b/c that's what he does. But Panthers are not expected to be in the Jackson market, per league sources.
  13. Why do/did some of you think the Falcons were all in? Because of Vick? Because of the ATL demographics? Their FO thinks the same exact thing ours does. He's not worth the risk.
