  1. Panthers are the winners of the Biggest Losers Bowl (Again) Saints just somehow have a knack for losing against the Panthers when it benefits them the most.
  2. This is a time for serious reflection. David Tepper's Carolina Panthers are at a fork in the road. Will David Tepper finally prioritize actual accomplishments over acclaim? Experience above ego? Knowledge rather than know-it-alls and value NFL wins more than whimsy? Will David Tepper finally humble himself or continue to humiliate himself?
  3. Maybe Tepper has eaten enough humble pie by now to realize NFL football decisions are best left to the experts, not novices and amateurs.
  4. I don't know of anyone other than Tepper that can precisely say what personnel decisions Fitterer has been responsible for as GM. That makes it extremely difficult to judge his performance as a fan. On the other hand Wilks is the face of this franchise and it is hard for him to hide from his critics. Regardless, it is like comparing apples to oranges.
  5. Respect to whoever was responsible for putting the kibosh on continuing to play the game. Might have been the two coaches. Thoughts are with Damar Hamlin.
  6. If you find yourself depressed after every loss, it may be time to find another form of entertainment that is less taxing on your emotional health.
  7. Tepper is all about setting franchise record back-to-back losing seasons. Five and counting.
  8. Having said that, the NFCS certainly looks like easy pickings for any top tier head coach who wants to take the path of least resistance to the playoffs. Shades of the Patriots in the AFC East and the 49ers in the NFC West during the 80's and 90's.
  9. While as a Panthers fan I'd like to believe Harbaugh is sincere, I can't help but wonder if Harbaugh is playing hard to get with his true desire.
  10. I could absolutely see Harbaugh using Carolina as leverage to get a better deal out of Denver.
  11. Haha, so true. Marty Hurney the genius. Should've included this gem in my reasons Tepper should leave the crucial decisions to others with a proven track record of winning at the NFL level.
  12. How long did Rhule last? Everywhere Harbaugh goes his teams are competitive and his NFL record shows twice as many wins as losses. Plus, for whatever it's worth, Harbaugh has been at Michigan since 2015. So it isn't inevitable that he'd be gone after only a few years. TL/DR: Yeah, as a long suffering Panthers fan, I'd be willing risk only having two or three years of winning with Harbaugh.
  13. If Harbaugh is willing to come to Carolina, Tepper should do whatever is needed to make it happen.
  14. From everything I've read Fitterer remains an enigma, mostly because we don't know how much of a role he's played in this team's personnel decisions. With that in mind, if a HC with a winning record shows interest in coaching the Panthers, I wouldn't hesitate to kick Fitterer to the curb (if that's what's required to seal the deal).
  15. Not so long ago, Tepper took the lead role in trying to recruit a sexual deviant to be the face of the Panthers franchise. That, and signing Rhule, an NFL novice, to a 7 year contract based on meatballs. I don't need to see anything else to realize Tepper would be better off leaving the crucial team decisions to NFL executives that are proven winners. In 2019 his choice for HC came down to Rhule or Mike McCarthy. Shouldn't have been a hard choice. Several years later the Panthers are still looking for a HC, while the Cowboys are in serious contention for a Super Bowl. Tepper was busy trying to be the smartest owner in the room when he should have just hired the best HC available and let the guy do his job.
  16. Considering the way this season started, Panthers are playing with house money.
  17. Knowing Russell Wilson's big ego, he is probably already lobbying the Bronco's ownership for a say in who their next head coaching hire will be.
  18. It might be a smart for Wilks to interview with the Broncos, if only for added leverage in his negotiations with the Panthers.
  19. This. Wilkes has done an amazing job turning around what once appeared to be a lost season and McAdoo, like Wilkes, is working largely with a team constructed by Rhule. If the Panthers end up winning these last two games it will be hard not to give McAdoo some credit for that success as well.
  20. All aboard the Panthers Playoff Express!
  21. I don't believe there are many here who would deny replacing Rivera with Rhule was a serious downgrade. The first one out the door should have been Marty Hurney. Tepper should have then hired a knowledgeable GM to set the Panthers up for success. Marty Hurney was never that guy.
  22. On a more positive note, the Pederson coached Jaguars/Lawrence are vastly improved over what we've witnessed in the past.
