I've seen several posts mentioning this. It is far from certain that the Panthers will end up with more draft capitol and/or cap space after a third year of Matt Rhule's mismanagement. Matt could easily pull a Marty Hurney and spend this team into cap hell while trading away our future draft capital all in an attempt to save his job. TL/DR: Storm clouds are on the horizon. Given another year, Matt Rhule could easily leave the Panthers in a much worse situation than they are today.

Substitute Aaron Rodgers for Cam Newton and the results would still be the same. Matt Rhule's Panthers are not, nor will they ever be, a playoff team. Matt Rhule: 1-8 against fired NFL coaches. Yeah, he's really just that bad. If you've got to bring in a "superstar" OC to unfug what Rhule has done as HC... why not just fire Rhule?

I've reached my limit with Rhule. He is the first Panthers coach that I simply can't tolerate listening to. There is nothing credible coming out of that man's mouth.

Dysfunctional hardly begins to describe how bad this franchise has become under David Tepper's watch.

Rhule's 2021 Panthers improvement was unseeable. 1000% Rhule's 2022 Panthers will be unwatchable. 1000%

All other considerations aside: When it comes to winning games, Richardson had mixed/mediocre results. Mediocre results is not a term we can use to describe David Tepper's 4 years as owner. Mediocrity has become something to aspire to.
