  1. And it's probably because he was picked #8 overall. Cam wore #2 at Auburn but stuck to #1 because he was picked first overall.
  2. I think this also proves that Fitterer will not trade down just for the sake of trading down to get more value. If he feels like a blue-chip player is there in the Top 10 and if trading down will cause them to lose that opportunity, he rather just pick at 8. It says a lot about how they feel about Horn, they would rather pick him than move down to pick an average player and some JAGs. Fitterer flips the script in the second and later rounds and trades back multiple times, I think this speaks to them trusting their board and player value.
  3. Panther's war room was upset? Do they mean the Huddle? lol, everyone here was upset that we traded back and missed out on tackles.
  4. I do believe that RB is a strong possibility, a lot of these drafts are also depth and growth at the same time. Ex. Marshall jr with Moore and Anderson on last contract, Tremble to replace Ian Thomas, etc. If not Carter, maybe Chubbard?
  5. There we go, good pick! WR is a need for next year, a good athlete with potential again.
  6. Joe Horn was mad that media didn't give his son more attention when the pick happened. Lol, welcome to media coverage of the Panthers Joe Horn!
  7. I see you are an analytics guy, have you pitched yourself for a job to David Tepper? lol
  8. Accumulating all these points are like bitcoin...we feel rich, but not sure what we can do with all these points lol
  9. I think interior O-line has value late 2nd and 3rd round, Humphrey, Wyatt Davis. TE being pushed down with run on OT.
  10. Everyone on the huddle keeps talking about missing out on a tackle. All the tackles left on the board are projected to start RT. Can't force a square peg into a round hole. Legit left tackles are drafted in the 1st round, it's a reach to draft a tackle and make them play left side. Daryl Williams was all pro at RT, move him left and he is trash.
  11. Fitts gonna Seattle, hope our scouting department is on point with their evaluations!
  12. What picks do the bears have left to trade away? lol
  13. Analytics guys, analytics. Even if our players don't turn out to be good football players, at least we can compete in the Olympics!
  14. That's right! Use that 6th rounder we got for Teddy and trade back up into 2nd or 3rd round! If we really only have 150 players on our board, I bet we don't even have scouting reports on half the dudes being drafted in 6th and 7th rounds. What are we saving 6ths and 7th round picks for? To draft JAGs? lol
  15. If I remember correctly, when Rhule coached the senior bowl, he stated that Richie Grant was the type of player he would love to coach. We have needs at safety too after letting Boston go and some JAG at the safety position.
  16. As I recall, Henderson was playing some great football before getting hurt too.
  17. Picking a CB shouldn't be all that surprising. Last year, Panthers were having a hard time deciding between Derrick Brown and CJ Henderson. So CB has always been a position panthers were looking to fill over the past couple of drafts.
  18. If anybody has listened to Horn's interviews, I think he has a swagger to him and he is ultra competitive. He also has the athletic ability to back it up unlike Donte Jackson who has the attitude but lacks the measurable. I guess his dad needs to hang up the Saint's jersey and put on a panthers jersey now!
  19. If Rhule and Fitterer believe that there are only 15 players with 1st round grades, why would they move back up into the first round when they can wait until a player drops to their value in the second? I don't buy them jumping back in, when they have always stated that they want to trade back for more picks.
  20. Exactly, no team is one player away from changing fortunes except for a QB position. Unfair expectations for a Top 10 player. If a top 10 player gets a second contract extension after rookie deal, then it's considered a good pick. Even as good as CMC is at 8, he couldn't prevent us from picking outside of top 10.
  21. I think what's gotten most huddlers upset is not necessarily picking Horn but picking Horn over Fields and Slater who were still available. CB is also a big need for the panthers for many years that has gone neglected, we've thrown so many late round picks at CB with out success. I guess Fitterer and Rhule feel that the OL depth is much better in rounds 2-4, I don't believe Seattle has ever drafted an O-linemen. This Horn pick does tell me that Rhule favors athleticism in his players, ie. Brown, Chinn, Gross-matos.
  22. I'm sure the saint's don't regret the Lattimore pick and they did have other impact players but it's not his fault they drafted him in top 10. A shutdown corner is worth a top 10 pick, we're just not sure if Horn can be that for us.
