  1. sign me up for that trade back all day. we have too many holes to give up our second rounder
  2. if he truly has a poor work ethic Dan isn't taking that guy top ten simple as. He wants dawgs more than anything else
  3. I am going to hold on to this W bc at the time I voiced major concerns about Isiah Simmons and how he was a JOAT and master of none
  4. they are NOT 1 to 1 comparisons, but this is my hesitation with Jalon Walker. In the sense that if you view him as a tweener and not a full time edge you may end up with Isiah Simmons 2.0
  5. 6.5 feels right, if we continue on our upward trajectory I could see somewhere in the neighborhood of 7-9 wins this year However to think that's a lock to go over it ridiculous considering the history of Tepper's time here.
  6. for matt miller this is actually pretty good. He's an idiot and usually intentionally screws the panthers
  7. Oh I'm all for a trade back if mason graham isn't there. I'd be ecstatic with that. My problem is I really can't see anyone trading up unless Jerry loses his mind for Jeanty
  8. Safety is techinically the most pressing need but obviously not at 8 overall. I see edge, DT or offensive playmaker as the easy choices at 8
  9. everything I keep hearing from reliable draft people is that the NFL is way lower on TMAC (think late teens and twenties) than fans are. I'm not saying that's correct but I really don't think the Panthers are considering him at 8 yall
  10. I also will maintain that we will never truly know what kind of GM Fitterer was. For half of his regime he had Matt Rhule with final say and for the other half it seems like david tepper was calling all major shots
  11. Process was also very good that draft. We added more picks and took swings on talented players in later rounds. I was very happy leaving that draft other than us passing on Justin Fields
  12. my wish right now is 1- carter 2- hunter (not happening) 3- graham (probably not happening) 4- Tet 5- trade down 6- Walker IF we view him as an edge 7- Jihad Campbell Then 8-11 is some mix of Stewart, Mykel, Mike Green and Donovan E I'm kinda with you though OP i'm starting to feel like we are content with either of those guys at 8 and Dan doesn't really care how the board falls before
  13. ....and now Jaycee's deal looks like a steal. Been exactly one week. Imagine what it will look like after next offseason. Pay your good players to stay. Their deals always look better a year or two later. Don't overpay for average talent. But blue chip talent? pay.
  14. I think the plan is to see if a top talent falls to 8: graham, hunter or carter (unlikely) If and when that doesn't happen I could see us trading back for a team desperate for O-line help and taking Golden and I'd be very happy with that plan
  15. I don't think he makes it to 8 but he'd be the easy choice if he was there whether you view him as a WR or a CB.
  16. 49ers may be in a full scale reset mode soon, i don't think he's going to cost as much as you guys think
  17. Seattle only getting a third for Geno makes me hopeful DK wouldn't cost too much for us
  18. very fair argument here, he has a lot of the makings of a FA bust
  19. the more I think about this the less enthusiastic I am about it. I would much rather spend money on the defensive line and then get a second tier free agent rather than make our big splash on a safety. In an ideal world we end up with an edge (chase young or harold landry), pass rushing 3-4 end (maybe milton williams or allen) and a true NT as our three big splashes. Sign a second tier safety prospect and then use our second or third rounder on a safety.
  20. Milton Williams would be worth it, I'm not sure spending big money on safety is the move, albeit are safety room clearly needs work (I think we have one safety on the roster currently)
  21. fair I like Stewart over Williams too
