  1. Ravens drafted him round 1, biggest whiff ever by the Ravens. I was so fuging worried we were going to take him over DJ Moore that year
  2. One of my favorites I've done yet
  3. Again this is great. We are going to suck next year. Cut dead weight now, start the healing process for the future. this is what we SHOULD have done Rhule's first year. yet every year the panthers have tried to go back to the well and starting with quick fix solutions
  4. can't decide if the Panthers trade up to one (and giving up the first overall pick in the process) or the Broncos trade was worse.
  5. FWIW I would sit it out and play hardball with Burns. If he was available in this draft he would be a top 5 talent. We aren't going to get the value we should for him. I think we could get a deal done for somewhere around 28 mill per year this offseason. You keep a franchise cornerstone, he gets paid handsomely (that's more than he really should get imo) and we still have somewhat of a pass rush. If we trade him our pass rush literally drops to nothing
  6. there seems to be legitmate smoke to the rumor that he's getting traded, not only is it widely speculated but Jonathan Jones (well connected) tweeted today to not be suprised with a trade. My guess is the Rams, Houston, and Baltimore would all be interested. I would wager the compensation will be a: 1 and 4 this year and a 2 or 3 next year. I HIGHLY doubt any team would give up more than that but if there is a bidding war ultimately the Panthers could still wind up with two firsts if someone chooses to sign him to the non-exclusive tag
  7. That is a good counterpoint, while I anticipate we suck ass next year and I don't want us to throw money down the drain. Building a competent offense around Bryce is needed for two reasons 1- we have to see if Bryce is the guy 2- it will only help the next rookie we draft if he isn't This year a very legitmate argument could be made that there were only two maybe three starters worthy to start on an NFL offense. Moton, Thielen, Chuba. Can't evaluate nor bring a rookie into that anyway.
  8. I'm fine with this. Let's get out of all our bad contracts now. We're going to suck next year, just embrace it and start building towards a better future.
  9. The Washington Football team was the perfect name and remains the perfect name
  10. I am literally lol ing at you saying chucklefugs
  11. For the record i would still try like hell to sign Burns but if his guys tell you under the table he isn't re-signing longterm here then by all means trade him, don't get nothing for him
  12. Would be very interesting. Despite what this board and twitter tell you Burns is still very highly regarded in the league and while we may not get the Rams offer (two firsts and a third). I think if we opened the bidding war we could get from detroit 1st Pick 29 3rd Pick 92 Then a future 2nd or 3rd round pick pending how negotiations went.
  13. Hell let's do here's what SOJA would have done: you can check my post hx (lmao) to verify 2020 1 DB - wanted Okudah and Herbert, DB was third choice over Simmons 2- YGM - would have taken him. Best value at this point at a position of need 2- Chinn- wanted Chin, did not like trade up 4- Troy Pride- wanted Harrison Bryant - wash of busts 5- Kenny Robinson- wanted James Proche 6- Roy - wanted James Proche (ok so that didn't work out) 7 - STO- did not have a strong desire So 2020 comes out to be the only thing I wouldn't have done was trade up for Chinn. 2021 1- Horn- wanted in order: 1. Justin Fields, 2. Rashawn Slater (this is my biggest win, even if you don't like Fields we would NOT be in the position we are today with him OR we would be but still have our first overall pick. Also it made NO sense to trade for Darnold until after the draft so I would have kept a 6th and future second and fourth). Slater also would have been a better pick just saying 2 Marshall- Loved the trade down and pick, no arguments 3 Christiansen- loved the pick no arguments 3 Tremble- was fine with this pick 4- Chuba- liked the pick felt like it was a bit of a reach 5- Daviyon Nixon- absolutely loved this pick thought we crushed this at the time 5 Keith Taylor- again loved this pick thought we again crushed 6 Deonte Brown- loved this as well 6 Shi Smith- loved this pick too 6 Fletcher- worst pick of all time would have been better off drafting my wife she would have been more helpful to the team, I'm not even joking 7 Hoskins- didn't know much about him when drafted but I saw the vision Overall I actually think we had a very strong draft in 2021 outside of two major decisions. Trading for Darnold predraft and not taking Fields. You flip those two things I think the process of that draft was amazing. 2022 1 Ekwonu- wanted him bad and we got him...time will tell but thus far things aren't looking great. BUT! we said similar things about DB after his first two years 2 (38) Jets I'm making this pick dammit but I would have taken Booth Jr who hasn't really wokred out. 3 did not like the trade up again, but did like drafting matty C 4 (111) Jets making this one too Zamir White 6 Barno/Mays- actually liked these picks 7 Barnes- I mean why not he was blazing fast 2022 in general was a bad draft, not much to salvage there but I did have a prediction this year that the starting QB come 2023 of the Panthers would be.... 2023 1- stroud. I've been vocal about this since April of 2022. He's been my guy since that Rose Bowl game. When we traded up and I saw the Vegas odds I was ecstatic....let's not turn this into another Bryce thread. I was fine with the trade up. 2- Mingo. I wanted BJ Ojulari, Brian Branch but Mingo was probably my third choice 3 DJ johnson- haaaated this trade up and selection. Not drafting for it, but I loved both picks pit made with ours so I would have taken them 4 Zavala- loved this pick, still very hopeful for him 5 Robbinson- did not love this one, would have taken Henry To'o To'o So there you have it, if I was at the helm the team wouldn't look that different other than the pivotal moment of drafting Fields and if we still had found ourselves trading up to 1 taking Stroud.
  14. oooooooooffff *IF* we had done that yall we probably would have taken kenny fuging pickett with that eagles pick....jesus christ that would have been abysmal
  15. The most likely conclusion is they take Williams one The second most likely is washington gets desperate and gives them a kings ransom to move up one spot, in which case they would take Maye 2 (the media is kidding themselves right now believing it's not williams 1a and maye 1b). I can't see any scenario Chicago does anything other than those two things
  16. this reply was a lot funnier in my head when I read your username as Shogun
  17. My biggest thing about this offseason is this: "Do NOT go all in next year." No matter what we do this offseason we almost certainly be one of the worst teams in the NFL again next year. That's ok. I'm actually fine with that because we have our first next year. IMO this offseason should be about: One. Resigning core talent on this team Two. Plugging holes at spots with one to two year deals to preserve future cap space. Three. When in doubt, trade down or acquire future draft capital. If we do these things we will be set up very well after next year to either a.) build around bryce as a franchise guy b.) cut ties with Bryce and move on to another high pick qb c.) wait an additional year for bryce and still have flexibility in the year after Essentially our theme should be "Future flexibility." and "Draft good players regardless of position".
  18. ok this website is just dumb
  19. I lied one more insane one ok guys I'm done I promise
  20. One more insanely unrealstic one in which we end up with three round one talents by pick 102
  21. In other completing unrealistic trade news, Jared Verse fell to 33 and the Rams offered me Puka Nakua for pick 65 LMAO
  22. I don't think Ladd is making it out of round 1 yall. I think he's either a Bill or a Chief, I'm not kidding.
  23. So I feel like the following offseason plan is realistic, posted this in another thread. 1 Re-sign Jansen, Luvu and Burns 1a. If unable to resign Burns to reasonable deal, franchise him, if unable to trade let him play out franchise tag or try to trade him mid season. 2 Extend DB 3 Sign Calvin Ridley (1-2 year high incentive deal) backup Curtis Samuel 4 Sign Rasheed Shaheed backup Mack Hollins (1 year high incentive deal) 5. Sign Trent Brown for depth 6. Sign a random Guard (pick anyone) 7. See if YGM comes back on a low cost one year deal to prove last year wasn't a fluke, otherwise sign vet pass rusher 8. Try like hell to trade Hayden Hurst and Miles Sanders (won't happen) Did this mock earlier; you guys will hate it but this team desperately needs to build from the inside to out right now, we are NOT one to two sexy WR's away from being good. Things I want to do this offseason: retain our good core players: Luvu, DB and Burns; not fug our future cap space up that much in FA. Draft *good* players, regardless of position. When in doubt trade down and acquire more picks or future capital. This team should be doing everything in its power to build slowly. Next year is a wash as is. It's the year after and beyond I'm concerned with ESPECIALLY if we have to move off Bryce Young
