  1. Cam also threw 30 TDs as well. Considering the best QBs today throw 30+ TDs are the regular it really isn’t the old school way of thinking. Brady is also terrible at scheming players open in the redzone, as I said above. As much as I loved Cam running the ball I was way more impressed with his passing numbers. Passing TD-wise so far Darnold has been unimpressive. I hope it changed.
  2. Rushing TDs are unimpressive when they are attached to a QB. Loved Cam and that he could run it and had a lot of rushing TDs but Sams stats from a passing TD perspective have been unimpressive. 5 TDs to 3 INTs. That is on pace for 20 TDs to 12 INTs which is just okay. I’d like less rushing TDs and more passing from the guy who supposed to pass. I feel like the reason Sam, or even Teddy had to rush a lot in the endzone was because Brady struggles to scheme players open in the endzone.
  3. LoL. I hate the rookie excuse. He isn’t a rookie. His numbers are basically identical to Teddy Bridgewater this year. He has been doing exactly like Teddy did last year. Throwing for a ton of yards, very few TDs and has a high accuracy. There will be a better QB eventually whether that is the draft or something else. Darnold is not a franchise QB. He is our Alex Smith until we find our Mahomes no matter how long it takes. Darnold is a plug until we find someone better.
  4. Why do people keep coming back to Deshaun. I don’t want Deshaun. Sam can be a good plug until we find someone better. That is all I am saying. Nothing in what I said made me support him failing. But I, unlike a lot of this board, will not crown him as a long term starter. Not yet.
  5. He had a full season and an offseason to get his crap together. I don’t give a crap that he is 32. He isn’t new to being an OC anymore. He should of had this crap figured out. But he hasn’t and it seems to be not getting any better. Also to answer your question. That Lions coach we hired is supposedly the guy we plan to promote to OC once Brady inevitably leaves. He cannot be much worse in the redzone then Brady’s sorry excuse for redzone offense has been.
  6. We could also do a lot better. Like hire an OC with NFL experience.
  7. He has had a full season. No more excuses. In his second season he should be able to scheme TD passes.
  8. Then we need to fire Brady or hope he leaves for a HC job or, if he is still here next year, have some OC mentor him on scheming TDs in the redzone that don’t rely on your QB to run it in. Honestly I am kinda sick of him.
  9. I agree. I like they are taking deep shots but Darnolds problem appears to be the opposite of Teddy. He keeps overthrowing players.
  10. I would prefer my QB had more passing then running. Not a fan of all these designed runs for Darnold. He is my Cam. He is gonna get hurt.
  11. Nothing to impress me. He has been playing okay. But whenever I watch him I feel like I am watch a ticking time bomb. His passing has been good 300 yards in 3 games isn’t anything to scoff at. I do wish he would throw more TDs. Some people may be happy with rushing TDs on a QB but in 2015 I was more happy with Cams 30 TDs then his rushing TDs. Darnold is a QB after all not an RB. Also those INTs and the possible 3rd INT just reeked of Jets Darnold. (Yes QBs can have bad games, but Darnold doesn't get that excuse for right now.) This game made me put my Darnold support back on the shelf for now and I don’t think I will be pulling back out for a while.
  12. You can keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better. Sam has been an NFL QB for almost 4 years. If I kept making excuses like that in my job I’d get fired due to incompetence. Sam may or may not get better or it is just who he is. Eventually people are gonna need to stop making excuses. But Sam still has 13 more games to do something but I have a feeling he is who he is. A QB that flashes occasionally but for the most part isn’t a long term starter.
  13. if we are to have any success with Sam we are essentially have to build a team like the 2019 49ers. Build a solid o-line and a great defense and keep Darnold within the system and make him never take chances unless the chance of success is close to 100 percent. Getting the O-line fixed is a priority but the defense needs better depth also.
  14. Defense still needs work and offense still needs work. I predicted 6-11 to 8-9 and I still feel pretty good about that.
  15. Yes, Darnold looks bad because of the O-line and also because Darnold has always struggled when down and thrown a ton of picks. He is once again trying too much. I didn't want him as out QB and I still don't.
  16. I have tried not to give my bad feelings too much power. I had a bad feeling in 2015 going into the Cowboys game. Ended up being nothing to worry about. I think we’ll be fine. Even if we lose.
  17. He fails to mention that Cooks was the only receiver able to do anything and it was a hard fought 112 yards.
  18. As much as I hate our division rivals I respect them, for the most part. Cowboys, Broncos, Patriots and Seahawks fans I hate with a burning passion.
  19. Looked up that game since I forgot about it. We should of won that game. Panthers played better than the Titans. But having 4 turnovers will kill any teams chances of winning.
  20. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thelandryhat.com/2021/09/29/dallas-cowboys-top-3-bold-predictions-showdown-panthers/amp/ I know these are bold predictions but the writer of this article has no respect for our offense, even without CMC, or our defense. Saying Darnold will collapse against their defense and our defense will allow 200 yards rushing just because we were awful last year in run defense and Lamb will have a record day against us. These predictions are my bold they are borderline unrealistic.
  21. Too soon too tell. I think the 2003 pass rushed is still the best, yeah I am a bit biased. But this pass rush, if it continues it’s upward trajectory, has a chance to surpass it.
