  1. I was going to say - isn't the aim of the game to win the SuperBowl?
  2. I think the vast majority of College coaches, especially position coaches, are looking to get to the NFL.
  3. By separating it out you're trying to diminish what he is. As the total package he's the most athletically gifted QB in this Draft - great size, the biggest arm, the fastest and most elusive runner. He's a complete projection, but so is every QB. With regards to your "Can he run it? Yep. Cool." btw - the only reason why Hurts is worth spit in the NFL is because he's a threat with his legs.
  4. He's a Redshirt Senior. He's currently 23, he'll be 24 by the time the season starts. With regards to the other stuff, it depends which analyst you ask.
  5. He's going to be all about the interviews and comparing early season to late season tape. He'll have to show marked improvement as the season progressed and a driven / coachable attitude. He has a long way to go, but he has the best tools in the Draft at QB and he's already making plays despite being so raw.
  6. We traded two first round picks for Sean Gilbert (which I think turned into Champ Bailey and LaVar Arrington), so this doesn't even register.
  7. See I think he's the ideal OLB in a 3-4. Line him up and just ask him to rush the passer and / or drop into zone / man - simplify the game for him and let him use his athleticism off the edge. He doesn't have the instincts to play ILB imo.
  8. Even if you're damn sure, good luck surrounding him with talent the next three years.
  9. He's thrown for 35k yards in his career with a 2-1 TD-INT ratio (with over 200TDs). So yeah, he's proven he's a pretty damn good NFL QB.
  10. The same reason the Broncos cut bait with Cutler. There aren't 32 people currently walking the planet that can play QB in the NFL to a competent level. This whole 'retread' narrative is ridiculous. Carr is a proven commodity.
  11. Nope, I loved Mahomes - was desperate for the Panthers to Draft him. I'd have been unhappy with Allen though, so your point stands.
  12. I'm afraid not as they're unfounded opinions. Appreciate the reply though, we'll just have to agree to disagree on Carr's abilities.
  13. The only two teams I hate are the Broncos and the Patriots. I can't bring myself to dislike the Cards, they're just irrelevant to us in the grand scheme of things.
  14. I'm ok with standing pat and taking a player that falls to #9. I don't think any QB in this Draft RIGHT NOW is worth trading multiple first round picks for.
  15. A Top 10 pick has to be a sure thing in my book. None of these QBs are sure things, but you risk it for Stroud if he falls (he won't). Young is the best QB in this Draft, but he's literally smaller than Murray. Levis I don't get the hype about at all and Richardson needs to sit at least a year.
  16. Sign Carr, take the BPA at #9 (or trade down) and hope that Richardson is there at #39 so you can groom him for 2 years. We need to come out of this Draft with another receiving threat to compliment Moore / Marshall and another pass rushing threat - I assume we're going to a 3-4.
  17. Carr has multiple suitors - there's no way he's going to agree to that.
  18. Yes, he had the OC title. He didn't call the plays - that was Mark Richt.
  19. The point is - we're talking about what a great staff Reich is assembling, yet he's hired an OC that has never called plays before. Like, not once in a 10 year coaching career. I'm well aware that Caldwell and Reich have been OCs before (I'm not sure whether Caldwell ever called his own offence) and of course Frazier was the interim-OC for the Colts when Reich was fired so there is experience on the staff - it's just an odd hire for me.
  20. It pays well, thanks for asking.
  21. As a Miami Hurricanes fan I can tell you that he didn't call a single play for the Canes. That was Mark Richt's offence. Does anyone research these guys at all?
  22. An OC that has never called plays - bold strategy, Cotton.
