  1. sorry you are right.... GMs always get first round talent with first round grades, no teams ever do boneheaded things and miss on players "The most impressive performance from a former Tiger, surprising no one, came from Trenton Simpson. The Charlotte native put up 25 reps at 225 pounds on the bench, measured in at a strong 6-foot-2 235 pounds, but his best moment came in the 40. Simpson wowed the crowd with a 4.43 40-yard dash, with a 1.55 10-yard split. His time trailed only Auburn’ Owen Pappoe’s 4.39. The stellar showing at the combine earned Trenton Simpson a 6.24 prospect grade per NFL.com (8.0 represents a “perfect prospect”). The 6.24 grade places Simpson as the second-best linebacker prospect in this class, behind just Arkansas’ Drew Sanders" https://www.si.com/college/clemson/football/trenton-simpson-shines-at-nfl-combine I am not a Clemson homer, but the numbers do not lie. This young man is going to shine in the NFL and being around the $100 million dollar man in Roquan Smith will help him take it to the next level. This team needed strong LB play and we just drafted a guy who played 3 different positions in 6 years who was likely headed to being undrafted
  2. Why get a 21 year old OLB who absolutely CRUSHED the combine with measurables like a 4.43 40 when you can get a 31 year old college graduate who posted 6 sacks in 6 seasons
  3. Multiple outlets had him as an end of 1st round grade. You don’t need to trade up for a 25 year old rookie, he’ll be too old to even warrant a second contract
  4. A first round grade LB in Simpson is on the board and you trade UP to get a 25 year old LB
  5. I remember when we drafted Thomas Davis to slow Vick down
  6. I want Trenton Simpson…. Shaq is getting up there and we’re not deep at LB. It’s time to rebuild what used to be regarded as one of our best positions (Kuechly, Beaston, Morgan)
  7. I’m giving him a pass on his earlier years, just too green as an owner and too much money, wanted immediate results Where having a guy like Tepper over Richardson (RIP BIGCAT) is the ability to spend for having the best possible coaching staff, scouts, etc. There’s no salary cap on coaches and based on the staff the Panthers put together this year, Tepper had a massive wallet flex. When it comes time to a stadium (I personally don’t want one, I love BOA) but Tepper will have a massive flex on When it comes time to deciding Stroud or Young, I want Tepper to give an opinion but Fitterer and Co to choose who they feel is the best player, not who Dow Jones Tepper wanted
  8. True but the team had to do something. 5 years of mediocre QB play
  9. Winners of round 1: Eagles- Carter and Smith in round 1 to an already sick defense. They’re cultivating the Philly Bulldogs up there Texans- QB1 and stud stud DE/OLB, that’s called new era aggressive for year 1 Ryans era Ravens: signed Lamar and drafted a speed WR, this should be fun Losers: Lions: WTH, your defense is what kept you out of the playoffs. You signed Montgomery, you have Swift
  10. https://www.panthers.com/news/come-welcome-bryce-young-at-bank-of-america-stadium-on-friday This is pretty interesting, do not remember the team before inviting fans to meet the draft picks
  11. still feel bad for the young man Media did him wrong
  12. instead of competing like Kirk Cousins did when the Redskins had RGKnee, he pouts.... what a "leader"
