  1. Yea thats an example of why I cant respect his opinion that much. He gets caught up.
  2. Harrison has tape of his speed and getting seperation though. I dont want any receiver who was known for how well they made contested catches in college.
  3. I just saw this earlier. Much bigger numbers were being put out yesterday it seemed like. Mostly from national media and buffalo media because they wanted to try to make it look like an overpay I assume.
  4. Thats awesome, but those being his main selling points reminds me of all the posts about Corral being the first to the field. I woild take a flyer on him or coleman in the third but not with one of the seconds which is afraid is what we are going to do because no matter what the era or staff is, the panthers always seem obsessed with heavy physical receivers that make contested catches constantly in college (red flag)
  5. One year wonder that never got speration. Imagine mingo light with short arms and small hands.
  6. I get that for sure but I think hes mostly just saying the same stuff the old grumpy guys say.
  7. I feel like if hes on the huddle then its clearly you based on all your comments on this post lol
  8. Not speaking for me. He comes across as a casual fan. Which there's nothing wrong with.
  9. To be fair it shows how overvalued Burns was compared to what some Burns fans thought he was once that 30m price tag he was wanting was factored in.
  10. Yea need two. I would personally prefer Wonnum and Young though. Clowney would be my odd man out of the 3 depending on the deals.
  11. For people talking about whats fast for receivers. The top 10 wide receivers last season ran an average 4.47 40. For what its worth.
  12. Inside zone and wide zone are toootally different.
  13. Yep, Icky's technique breaks down big time when hes in space and reaching.
  14. I dont see the doom and gloom. We were never going to be serious contenders this seasom regardless of the moves we make. Right now this season is about determining the most important posistion on the field, qb. We had a joke of an offense in every aspect last season. This offseason is focusing on building at least a respectable offense scheme and personnel wise. Then Young has no excuses, we see what we've got and if hes improving. He literally controls his own fate. The defense is going to be terrible. If he improves and the offense is solid then we win a few games. He plays like he did last year we clearly are the worst team in the nfl with a very early pick to replace him with and we still have the building blocks of an offense around the new guy. Bryce literally controls his own fate. This season is about him sinking or swimming.
  15. Are you familiar with the wide zone blocking scheme? There are multiple types of zone blocking..
  16. He's a downhill mauler. Good for the straight ahead power run game. Hes not as good in space or moving laterally. It is what he has clearly struggled with in the past.
  17. If it was just pick 39 I would be 50/50 on it but for both seconds no way. Not in such a deep wr class.
  18. I wonder if he was secretly shopped behind the scenes some because he definitely doesnt fit the new blocking scheme either.
  19. I don't think so. If they lose this year and Bryce isnt the answer then they can take QB #1 next year and their guards are already in place. These are younger guards on longer contracts. They will be there for the new qb if bryce tanks. Signing them wasnt a just this season move.
  20. This isnt a 1 year rebuild. So many people are acting like panthers football doesnt exist past next season.
  21. I felt this way when the move was make but honestly this past few days has made me feel a lot better that that was the case honestly. The past few days have almost entirely revolved around starting to fix Fitterer's mistakes/clear them out.
  22. I disagree. Its definitely a rebuild, they are building the offense first. First the best teams in the modern nfl have really good offenses but I don't think thats the main reason. The main reason is to give Bryce no excuses to see what he is. With an actual NFL offense around him if he still struggles the same as last year then guess what? You have an actual nfl level talented offense to drop the new qb in that we draft next year. People are acting like this is the last season of Panthers football and there is nothing after this or something. The #1 question for the panthers is is Bryce the answer or not. You don't find that out without building an offense.
  23. I really don't understand how people are stuck on this. Burns isnt an "elite pass rusher" he is a good pass rusher and a liability against the run. NFL teams know this, thats why this offer was the most compensation we could get for the money he wanted. People are acting like other teams were offering two firsts and we just decided to take the giants offer instead. This was clearly the best offer we received.
  24. I agree, i think it was in the top 2 bad decisions in Panthers history, i felt that since the day the details were mentioned, but that was a different decision makers and the past offer has nothing to do with the current one. It was in the past.
  25. Its funny to me that the same people who were using the argument that Burns was actually good because these other teams valued him so highly are the same ones saying we should have kept him because the compensation wasnt enough. Looks like they were wrong on both parts.
