  1. I get all that. But it's not happening. I'm just saying, that's all. We're not trading Robby at this point. I wouldn't bet money on it, but again, I'd be shocked if that came to fruition. During the season, maybe, but I find it highly unlikely he gets traded before the season starts. #realitysuckssometimes
  2. I was told this expression a long time ago...."everything before the BUT doesn't count."
  3. I think you misread the OP.
  4. Great read. Would really like to know who they would have picked in the late 2nd. I'm glad we got Corral. I think Willis is overhyped and has too many question marks on film. I don't know enough about Ridder other than his accuracy stinks. I would have been happy with Howell, but seeing how much further he fell makes me glad we didn't take him in the 3rd.
  5. RA isn't getting cut. You honestly think that would happen? There is 0 reasons to cut him unless he's a locker room issue. I don't think that's really the case with Sam Darnold being a lame duck. He's also worth more than a 6th round pick. If we had intentions of trading Robby though it would have been before or during the draft. I would be shocked if he wasn't on the team week 1.
  6. It's $30,000/year to attend. They're ALL rich kids. Idk, is this like billionaires' kids making fun of the poverty multimillionaires' kids?
  7. Fitt has been saying this since his introductory press conference. It just hasn't happened so much, at least the development. This year will mean a lot for the past couple drafts.
  8. Doubt they trade. I could see them sign Mayfield once he's cut.
  9. It's possible, but becomes more and more unlikely the farther he falls, statistically speaking. Anything is possible and it will be interesting to see where these QB's are in a year or three.
  10. There are maybe 4 teams left this round who might take QB and you know what? I don't think a QB gets picked in the 2nd. I think they will all fall to the 3rd.
  11. They could potentially package picks 4 & 5 for a 3rd and get in something tomorrow, late.
  12. Trade back with Baltimore and get 14 & 45. We take Penning and probably Howell if he's still there in the 2nd.
  13. I'd be ok with this. Take Cross at 6 and trade back up into the 3rd for Howell. Probably won't have much more picks left after that, and I'd be fine with that being our entire draft this year.
  14. Recreational weed is legal in VA and will be up and running soon. How far do South Carolinians have to travel for legal weed? This fact alone makes NC superior.
  15. Y'all know he was a safety right? https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jeremy-chinn/32004348-4965-0621-179b-1e6fa9b75e74 Also.. —Ideal size (6'3", 221 lbs) to cover tight ends in the NFL; could play some linebacker. —Comes from a two-high safety defense with experience playing both deep and box safety. —Versatility to play both safety positions and slot corner; showed exceptional feet and cover ability at the Senior Bowl. —Comes down hill like a linebacker with the speed of a corner; doesn't miss tackles in space. —Can click-and-close to break up passes and make tackles. Dude's a hybrid, but safety is what he primarily played in college. I'm not surprised that coaches want a safety to play safety. I get he was great as a LB and constantly made splash plays, but I thought he was at LB out of necessity. I don't think that was ever the plan long term. Not my impression anyway.
  16. Toxicity towards Sam since day 1 is deserved, especially so far in hindsight. Personally, I don't think Darnold is a good QB and the only way he can get us to a winning record, is with a roster that can baby him - a lot of handoffs to a healthy CMC and checkdowns. A control the game type of offense with a stout defense that rarely plays from behind. I don't think there are many teams, or many coaches, in the NFL that can provide an environment where Sam could "succeed".
  17. Does Mecklenburg county not have a grant program for arts/culture/recreation? Here in Wake county, a portion of hotel occupancy taxes and prepared food tax is set aside to incentivize these sorts of projects. If the Mudcats want to upgrade their stadium or the Hurricanes want a new arena, Wake County has a fund they can draw from to bankroll that sort of things if the county finds a benefit in doing so for whatever reason. Nobody's taxes gets raised and locals don't pay for it, unless you happen to stay in a hotel here often and eat out constantly.
  18. That doesn't make a lick of sense. Losing with Rivera doesn't mean winning. It's not opposite world. a 10-7 record with Rhule is better than a 7-10 record with Rivera. I have no idea what "winning with Rhule" meant to the person I originally quoted But I took it to mean 0-17 with Rivera is better than 17-0 with Rhule, which, as a Panthers fan, idgaf who the coach is if we are winning games.
