I don't know enough about Ridder other than his accuracy stinks. I would have been happy with Howell, but seeing how much further he fell makes me glad we didn't take him in the 3rd.

I'd be ok with this. Take Cross at 6 and trade back up into the 3rd for Howell. Probably won't have much more picks left after that, and I'd be fine with that being our entire draft this year.

Toxicity towards Sam since day 1 is deserved, especially so far in hindsight. Personally, I don't think Darnold is a good QB and the only way he can get us to a winning record, is with a roster that can baby him - a lot of handoffs to a healthy CMC and checkdowns. A control the game type of offense with a stout defense that rarely plays from behind. I don't think there are many teams, or many coaches, in the NFL that can provide an environment where Sam could "succeed".

Does Mecklenburg county not have a grant program for arts/culture/recreation? Here in Wake county, a portion of hotel occupancy taxes and prepared food tax is set aside to incentivize these sorts of projects. If the Mudcats want to upgrade their stadium or the Hurricanes want a new arena, Wake County has a fund they can draw from to bankroll that sort of things if the county finds a benefit in doing so for whatever reason. Nobody's taxes gets raised and locals don't pay for it, unless you happen to stay in a hotel here often and eat out constantly.

That doesn't make a lick of sense. Losing with Rivera doesn't mean winning. It's not opposite world. a 10-7 record with Rhule is better than a 7-10 record with Rivera.
