  1. I don't disagree with what you're saying. I'm not saying Bryce is a bad person or that he is necessarily wrong to do what he did. That's for another debate. All I'm saying is it is perfectly okay to acknowledge that Bryce Young and his agents did engage in deception and game the system to a degree at the combine to retain his draft stock. Because they know what would have happened otherwise.
  2. Oh I'm not at all absolving the Tepper's and their hired yes men believe me. If you want a scathing assessment I believe the decision makers preferred Bryce over CJ for reasons not entirely about performance on the football field. And they deserve every bit of the ire directed their way for such foolishness.
  3. People can certainly blame the player. Might not be fair based on your own individual opinion. But that's sports. There's no shortage of 1st overall busts that have taken a heap of personal criticism. Was anyone saying what you're saying on behalf or Jamarcus Russell? Hmm? Nope. Bryce Young got a lot of cover from the media due to playing for Alabama while CJ Stroud was portrayed as a pretty much an idiot and vilified for his upbringing. It shows not much has changed with the draft process unfortunately.
  4. It's just simple bias no different than anyone else. The ironic thing is for all of his criticisms of DJ Moore he was fairly staunchly complimentary of Robbie Anderson. That worked out well.
  5. This facade is just sad. The 2023 season and CJ Stroud really broke ol' poundaway.
  6. From college to the NFL his deep passing accuracy has been mediocre at best. This isn't a claim. It's reality. You can hope he somehow finds a way to turn these issues around without pretending it isn't happening.
  7. Cam never fully honed in his throwing mechanics until the 2018 season and by then it was sadly too late. But he could make franchise QB throws look easy that Bryce Young could only dream of currently.
  8. Crying sounds as he poos posts he doesn't like. Gotta love the huddle.
  9. You Moore haters are going to be in shambles if he puts up even better numbers next year. Which definitely could happen if the Bears bring in competition for Fields.
  10. Well he's got two things going for him. He's actually coached in the NFL before unlike Rhule with one season of position coach experience. And he isn't a dinosaur like Reich. Might as well let him show us something.
  11. Just how many wide receivers can you name off the top of your head? For evaluation purposes let's cap it at 40. If you're arguing he's around 25 that's within the bottom 20. So average at best. At least try to be consistent with your statements.
  12. I'm going to have to disagree. He's made some nice throws along the way but by the end of the season it was clear all the defenses we faced knew his limitations. Now we have a coach that does too. What we are left with is salvaging this situation as best we can so we can get back to competing. I'm hoping Bryce will be highly motivated and ready to prove something this year. But I'm not going to engage in self deception and convince myself that as of right now he can make some of the same throws we've seen from the other rookie QB's. We picked the least phsyically gifted of the QB class at 1. Can't unring that bell now. But I'm still hoping something works out for us. We'll see.
  13. But he hasn't. If he had he wouldn't have finished with the lowest yards per attempt of the last 20 years.
  14. Fields is talented but he is not a very good QB. But he can do basic things like throw a good deep ball. Must be nice.
  15. Nobody even quoted you. Some are saying he's basically bottom 20. That's average at best. Follow along.
  16. College highlights are as relevant as saying he won a Heisman. None of it matters. All that matters is what Bryce Young is going to do to improve physically and mechanically this offseason.
  17. Can we put a ban on posting college highlights until our #1 pick looks like a #1 pick? Seriously he just finished his first N-F-L season as one of the statistically worst rookie QB's ever.
  18. Furthermore CMC has accomplished MVP discussion with the absurd amount of generational talent (aside from QB) and elite coaching around him and people are pretty much rooting for him and a former bitter rival of ours to win (another) Super Bowl. So when I see the flip side of that which is DJ Moore in a QB and WR wasteland putting up top 10 numbers with Fields I assume that people who are not being consistent between the two have an agenda.
  19. For all the complaining about how Bryce Young’s receivers are so awful it is amusing some of the same folks will vehemently argue DJ Moore is average at best.
  20. Just saying but maybe we should leave this term in 2023
