  1. He was in the voting before but didn't win. He was Super Bowl MVP however.
  2. Has there ever been a 5'10 QB as an MVP? Looking now. Not seeing it. Shortest I'm seeing is 6'2 until I get to Fran Tankerton at 6 foot even back in 1975. Edit: Actually Joe Theismann in 1983 was 6 foot as well. Still over 40 years ago. Now Bryce could certainly become the lone outlier and the Steph Curry Michael Jordan or whichever fairy tale we can come up with to cling to. But the odds are extremely low. That's just reality. If we pick him though I will support and hope all this comes to fruition.
  3. I really do think Stroud could end up a top 10 or more QB with his accuracy if he's fit to the right staff. It's legit kinda crazy some people don't want that after all these years of inaccurate passers even including Cam who was sometimes streaky.
  4. Yes it cuts whichever way whoever wants to make it fit their agenda. All I hope for is we pick the best of the 3. And it might not end up being Young with all his talk of football IQ it could end up AR reaches his ceiling with all his physical intangibles we don't know. But if two or three years from now the consensus is we ended up with the worst or second best of the three it's going to be a major source of talk and folks who were entrenched in one camp or another will end up with egg on their face. Somebody will. Like I said I just hope it isn't us. We deserve good things for all we've been through.
  5. Did you miss the thread of a loud BY fan crapping on Jake Delhomme and Cam Newton for not falling on the fumble? If there are Stroud or AR folks doing that please show me. Thanks bud.
  6. The only answer is draft AR and both the pro Stroud folks and the Bryce Young lunatics can lick their wounds together. I'm warming more and more to this scenario.
  7. Maybe it should serve as a cautionary tale to the folks here overhyping whomever we end up picking at 1 between Stroud and Young.
  8. These random twitter created jersey renderings just make me concerned we'll let Nike butcher a classic. Sometimes when you try too hard to make something different it ends up a mess. Keep it simple and subtle.
  9. The thing that gets me is so far the only folks in any of the 2023 rookie QB camps that have gone out of their way to crap on Cam Newton or Jake Delhomme are staunchly pro Bryce. I've also just seen one today dunking on Malik Willis who is apparently now a confirmed bust. But keep talking about Cam like these cringy Bryce Young extremists are not a part of the problem. To me it's basically the Sam Darnold homerism kicked up several notches.
  10. That was a fun draft thread full of hopium. Now let's get to it and draft the smaller framed Heisman Trophy winner #1 overall.
  11. The same person also said I was Carolina-Chuck. They listen to the voices inside their head. Anywho it can be confirmed as false in a matter of seconds
  12. Yeah I don't think dunking on Malik Willis to prop up his Bryce Young fetish is the flex he thinks it is.
  13. Oh I wasn't aware Malik's career was already over at 23 years old. The standards around here sure have changed from when you folks were calling 24 year old Sam Darnold basically a rookie
  14. Cam Newton and Joe Burrow are two of the most recent to have substantial success in the last decade plus. I think if anything it's a take it or leave it item in the overall consideration process. It doesn't boost or pull down a prospect to have or not have one.
  15. You're comparing a crucial part of the evaluation process for the position to an award many of footballs greatest QB's never even won? Alright then 🫡
  16. Didn't the recently released draft hat have silver lettering?
  17. Why does this guy keep flashing Heisman like that means anything? Before and since Cam Newton wasn't winning the Heisman like the KOD anyway? Johnny Football and Baker Mayfield both have them.
  18. You can make the argument Bryce was asked to do more but it still helps tremendously to have one of the greatest coaches in college football history to lean on and be coached by. And of course his coach is going to talk him up what else is he going to say? We know he didn't have MH JR but can we please stop acting like he was working with bums? Some of those guys will be drafted let's keep it real here. And even further let's be even more honest. Mac Jones who is overrated AF and was poo on here repeatedly before he was drafted did way more with Alabama and Saban. If Bryce had accomplished what Mac did the Bears would still be sitting at 1. Real talk.
  19. The whole he has great receivers thing cuts both ways. How good do those wideouts look without his accuracy? Almost anyone who's anyone knows Harrison JR is an absolute stud. But Panthers fans especially should know that really only matters if you have an accurate passer who can get him the ball. We just traded away one and all we gave him was a shell of himself Cam Newton Kyle Allen Sam Darnold PJ Walker and Baker Mayfield then back to Darnold. If this and how he will react to NFL pressure is the biggest knock you can think of on Stroud then I think he has a plenty good chance of being a quality starting QB. Elite and all that noise is crazy talk way too early and I'll say that for any of the prospects under consideration. You are more than willing to overlook Young's glaring concerns but trash Stroud. Hey at least he AR and the mayonnaise in his coffee weirdo showed up to put in work at the combine. You do you man
