Give me a quick breakdown of your selling points that have swung you in this direction.

Some things stick out that will need to improve in the NFL. Young's 16-20 and 20+ accuracy is lacking. That's the money area that keeps defenses honest. CJ Stroud also has the tight window accuracy you will need to make a difference at the next level while Young is closer to Anthony Richardson in that area. I can't wait to see how both these guys turn out. Hopefully just as Bryce is going to a very good organizational situation with us Stroud will find a good team as well.

There's like 2 posters here that I feel will legitimately be angry about BY as the pick. On the other side I get the vibe that if there is a remote possibility we pick Stroud or Richardson some folks here who have fallen so madly in love may dive out of a window.

Interesting more voices are suggesting the Tepper's are steering the selection. Also the Stetson Bennett remark stings.

Even if he stays healthy he's going to inevitably wear out his welcome with the Jets the same as he did with the Packers.

Cam comparisons are obviously too far. But he has a lot of potential. Levis could surprise too but between the two of them I think Richardson still has the better odds of success.

I absolutely get the skepticism and the frustration from that surrounding the concerns about our likely pick at 1. But I still feel optimistic and I'm happy we are actually trying to develop our own guy rather than bringing in another retread. That being said I really hope our OL is as advertised and holds up through the season. I also want to see the addition of another offensive weapon or two from this draft. I know we are still a foundationally defensive team but if our rookie QB is to thrive give him as much chance as possible and don't make the same mistakes as the last few regimes when we had a franchise QB.

I like Byrd he's decent depth and he's a good guy. But man the majority of this receiving core has struggled with the injury bug a good bit. Definitely want to see another added in the draft.

This is a good example of why even folks who are warming up to BY as the pick are giving odd looks to the most ardent supporters of him as the pick. The lengths to which they are going to attempt to eliminate his one very real concern are at times simply hilarious.

The Levis stuff was last year well before draft season officially got underway. Daniel Jeremiah also had Sam Darnold as his #1 QB in 2018. Let's not go overboard putting stock into these "analysts" opinions. At this point with the way people are speaking about CJ Stroud's IQ it will be a miracle if he can even find his way to the draft on Thursday amirite? Some of ya'll here really need that kid to be awful. You better hope he is. All I care about is if our staff is fully sold on Bryce Young and since that's the case then let's get to it.

Back in March Schefter tweeted that David Tepper loves Bryce Young. Then you see the photos of Mrs. Tepper it's clear they had their preference all along. Is Tep directing them who to pick? No. But when you have two prospects who are close and it comes down to which one to pick it helps that your boss who pays your salary loves that one. I'll trust they are making the right pick there isn't anything else to do. But I will say the folks who are posting these copium quips remind me of when the huddle was rationalizing the Kyle Allen hype machine and trying to convince themselves Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Darnold just need more time. Maybe let's just allow BY to get on the field and show us something 🫡
