  1. No point hammering the obvious with Rivera anymore. He is who he is and that's someone else's problem. We're doing okay. Good luck to him with the mess known as the Commanders clearly he needs it.
  2. Yeah I don't think it was a major red flag for Lawrence to say what he did but when I heard it this was my exact reaction. Hopefully mentalities like that change for the better as the years go on with newer generations. But then again idk how far off that will be you see how Lamar Jackson is perceived.
  3. I could see him being dreadful or he ends up going to a team with the right staff and actually develops into a decent starter.
  4. Well if you listen to some folks here bc bigger frame QB's have gotten injured too that somehow means it won't happen to Bryce Young. Which is bizarre to say the least because if I'm looking at the situation I'm saying the opposite. Seeing someone like Darnold get sent to IR by the Falcons tells me all I need to know about the likelihood of one the smaller framed QB's in recent years surviving a 10+ year career without accumulating some injuries along the way. If he's your guy in my mind you have to change your offensive approach not just in game planning but you need an even heavier emphasis on offensive line. And even then there are still going to be certain situations where you are simply at a disadvantage. Like QB sneaks in short yardage situations which Reich likes to run if I'm not mistaken. That's not happening with Young.
  5. I have to agree. For me if I'm going to risk it all I'd rather shoot for the moon with Richardson. Of all the top QB's Bryce is the only one with durability concerns and skipped the combine. But Stroud is the best option for what we want to do on offense.
  6. Wow some very good info in this thread. Thank you all. I concur with Rayzor. As we get further into this process and closer to the draft CJ looks to be atop the list with Young and AR next as the talented but riskier options.
  7. "From afar"? What random junk is that? The hit pieces are about to commence I see lol
  8. Another Bryce Young fanatic
  9. Bleh kind of the kiss of death here. Dan Orlovsky was once a committed Sam Darnold believer.
  10. I get both arguments in favor and against. But I think Richardson has a solid chance of being pretty good if he ends up on the right team with the right coaches.
  11. I mean true. But that can be applied no matter which QB we draft. If we are being honest Chark is borderline playing with glass ankles. WR is still a top need in this draft.
  12. But you're anointing a 20 year old kid who is undersized and has not even set foot on an NFL football field yet while taking the opportunity to dunk on the only two long term starting QB's for this franchise in over 25 years. Not even the pro Stroud folks are generally taking hype this far. I'm definitely seeing things about you pro Bryce folks and it isn't anything good. But carry on with your hype machine.
  13. If you're going to denigrate the only MVP in Panthers history you may want to adjust your expectations for whichever QB we take at 1.
  14. The Steph Curry stuff is just cringe. Let his tape speak for itself. There's things to be impressed about. But comparing him to hall of famers in football and basketball when the kid is hiding his weight and skipped the combine is cheesy.

  16. I think OP is moreso just highlighting how good Mark Williams is. But you do have a point. Apparently it's worthy of a poo to mention Clifford's penchant for playing veterans over young guys like it's never happened before. Maybe some folks are too used to this and just accept it now. I say no thanks.
  17. Yeah and Young skipped everything at the combine anyways. Well outside of the weigh in. Which he then skipped again at his own pro day. We keep hammering each other on the size and durability discussion but I find myself circling back to the combine. Why didn't he participate anyways? Was it because he was concerned about his shoulder? It's just rather odd for a guy under consideration for the top pick. We can argue over the significance of that in terms of the evaluation process but it's just a red flag to me. If we hadn't traded up and given up talent and resources to get to 1 that would be different but given that we did some of this is problematic to me and I'm surprised it isn't talked about more given the level of hype some have been making for Young.
  18. I mean physically he's got everything so I could find a silver lining there but I don't want to watch a Darnold rerun.
  19. Even without Purdy getting hurt they got exposed IMO.
  20. Maybe for a few games but eventually Sam will do what Sam does.
