Can we not get a pick from green bay for robby?
frankw replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
Looking at the current market for wide receivers and possible future contracts well over 100 million dollars you can safely assume most teams will be looking to the draft if they want a wideout. The people who hate Robby might as well get comfortable it's gonna be awhile. -
Jeremiah's Final Mock: Panthers could think of trading UP?!
frankw replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we trade up this place is going nuclear. At least it would be entertaining. -

Might get a late rounder that's about it. Some of ya'll are nuts lol. -
Darnold was at his worst from a clean pocket. Even Steve Smith can have a bad take sometimes. He's also said we should draft Malik Willis.
-
These are the same fools (Scott Fitterer included) that picked up Darnold's fully guaranteed option before he even walked into the building. No teams believe this mess because this regime has no credibility left. All we did today was give other front offices something new to laugh at. But keep thinking this is big brain chess Tepper and Co are playing

Wasn't this before they had even fired Adam Gase? He said he's their best QB on the roster that's it. Sam has had back to back seasons as the worst starting QB in the NFL. There is data that shows there's really no other QB that has been as bad as he was in that timespan within the last ten years. There is no reason to speak positively other than to say he is currently the best QB on the roster because only he and PJ Walker are currently under contract. There is not an NFL team out there stupid enough as we were to buy this foolishness. There is no purpose to say these things other than to further embarrass ourselves. If we can't trade him cut his ass loose we are NOT fooling anyone with this nonsense.
-
They told him directly he was done they weren't dancing around it. They also were smart enough to know there was no way in hell they were going to get locked into his guaranteed option. Can you imagine how loudly they were laughing when we picked up that option? You can convince yourself about this year or next years QB class but I'll take my chances on either before I'll watch Darnold play again.

The Jets didn't have their owner going before the fans saying how he was a very good QB. Everyone except us knew they had seen the tape we for some reason ignored. If you think a rookie QB can't possibly play better than the worst starting QB in the league last year you might just need to take a break.
-
The Jets are a poverty franchise that has been run poorly for how many decades now? Even they weren't talking up Sam Darnold publicly like we are. They said enough of this poo and told him to kick rocks. We need to do the same. Guaranteed money or not.
-
The point wasn't that he was elite it was that we were so bad and our QB situation as a whole was so bad even he looked like a franchise QB against us in comparison. I didn't think it was that tough to comprehend but I'm here to help
-
Unfortunately for Sam it isn't only the situations that were trash it was his overall performance. League worst.
-
We can love Cam Newton and not be delusional. We lost to Tyler Heinicke who looked like an elite quarterback. Sam Darnold is so terrible he lost to Daniel Jones.
-
Look at you being all different and cool. You're so above it all.
-
None of the above. Draft one.
-
He definitely reads what fans have been saying. He's either trolling or he is telling the fans he is going to do what he wants and they can go fug themselves if they don't approve.
-
Yeah not remotely surprised by this. I've been saying all along people may want to go easy with the early rejoicing of thinking Rhule is already halfway out the door. Tepper is stubborn.

We are comfortable drafting a couple QBs at 6

If it involves anyone who thought Sam Darnold looked like a franchise QB it's doomed before it even starts.

They wish they had day 2 picks. Well.... you had nothing to do with it Scott? How some still worship unproven decision makers is beyond me.
