  1. It's also unconscionably inconsistent to be seeking to trade players like Dowdle who have been a much needed jolt of life to the team while having virtually no standards for your QB's. I cannot state that enough. Incompetence beyond words.
  2. Dalton should already have been released. What's the incentive for other players on the roster that don't have fat contracts to care to play above standards if he can play like one of the worst QB's in the league and still be employed here? He's already 38 years old. My goodness they're acting like this guy is a hall of famer instead of a guy who couldn't even win a single playoff game in his entire career.
  3. As far as the OP goes I need to see better sources than some "trust me" level rando sports Twitter account. All these accounts have checkmarks since the new owner fully monetized the platform. It's a free for all in terms of spreading misinformation.
  4. If we're doing that we might as well clean house and start all over at this point. No more half measures. New GM who chooses his own head coach who chooses his own staff and an all new QB room.
  5. I thought this was what you were alluding to in your awkward Andy Dalton thread but I figured maybe you had just gotten liquored up. You're actually serious? You're really going to trivialize the actual racism our only MVP in franchise history Cam Newton endured despite being rookie of the year and changing the culture of this franchise just so you can bafflingly incorrectly posture about people wanting a white quarterback because our #1 pick who was billed as a generational pro ready talent has been anything but that? Pathetic.
  6. Every option should on the table and that includes drafting one within the first two rounds and signing one of the best FA's available. And if Dan Morgan decides to sit on his hands or half ass it I will just wait until he is fired and celebrate LOUDLY.
  7. I've heard this mentioned recently. What in the actual fưck is the "leadership council". Like man we've had coaches in the past in Rivera and Fox who we have eviscerated for their decisions but never once did I hear either of them mention a leadership council when they shīt the bed on something. The Tepper's have truly done a remarkable job sustaining joke status for this franchise it's unbelievable.
  8. On the one hand we absolutely should heavily consider it if there is an offer made. We have Dowdle Etienne who we just drafted who has shown nice burst in few carries and we have Brooks rehabbing. We've got a lot invested in RB along with the highest paid OL in football. It's too much honestly. You'd almost forget we have a guy who was supposed to be a generational ball distributor behind center. On the other hand we can't ignore the fact a number of players we have traded away over the last few years have seemed to thrive elsewhere at least initially. It's a tough situation. But in the end. This is why you don't pay RB's and if you do they better have historic numbers like Saquan. And even then if you do that the first question you need to ask yourself is do you need a better QB.
  9. Unless Dave Canales and Dan Morgan just completely had the Bears and Commanders games from last year completely wiped from their memory they knew full well what they were getting months ago with Andy Dalton when they both saw fit to give him an extension. Whatever this mess is about Andy hurting his thumb is the same fưckery they pulled last year when they needed an excuse to send him back to the bench. If this were any other franchise we would be laughing our asses off and mocking them relentlessly. Hard truth.
  10. Let's just speak plainly. We aren't on the Tepper's payroll. Walks like a duck...quacks like a duck...it's a duck. This is the path of the decision makers for better or worse. Let's get him out there in Green Bay and see what happens.
  11. If the Panthers were a serious franchise they would have already released Andy Dalton. But no we only cut guys like DJ Johnson to send a message.
  12. I don't even know where to begin with this post. It's a little early in the day to be this unhinged.
  13. I like Chuba as a person. However when we signed him to that extension I said it was a risk because he had his best statistical season while we have invested over the last 2 seasons what is now a league leading amount of money in the offensive line and it's only going to increase with us needing to sign our left tackle to an upcoming extension. We cannot afford all this. Our defense is already amongst one of the lowest invested groups in the league and we expect them to shoulder the burden. As far as Chuba over Rico let's just call it what it is. Our franchise making decisions based on what we've invested in a player instead of doing what's best for the team. We've already been doing this with Bryce Young and we again have one of the league's worst QB rooms. It cannot continue. How many blowout losses can we witness before things like this finally click? Either we begin operating like a serious franchise or we will look up and reach the milestone of being a cellar dweller for 10 consecutive years.
  14. All Matt Rhule had to do was have his wife cook up some meatballs and BAM generational wealth unlocked.
  15. I appreciate trying to lighten the mood with humor. That's about all we've got left these days with this franchise. If Bryce plays in Green Bay it will be his 38th career game. Just for the sake of clarity and the fact that we are all getting worn down on the deliberating about what Bryce is or isn't or what he will or won't do. It's worth noting that Bryce is as of right now with what we should all be able to agree is a mixed bag at best body of work as a starter he is currently 5th in all time games played for a Panthers QB. It's time for the rubber to meet the road....... https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/car/career-passing.htm
  16. As far as being a salesman I agree he goes out of his way to talk the talk and it's why I generally tried to tune out the heavily processed Blueprint series this year. Talk is cheap. As of right now his resume is more often than not him getting outcoached when he runs into a winning team.
  17. You play to win the game. Worrying about feelings is how we ended up with Andy Dalton way past his expiration date.
  18. He's actually the opposite. Matt Rhule tried to lord over everything and everyone and micromanage every little detail with the franchise. But Canales is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. He can't even dictate what he wants to his defensive coordinator. And he can't bring himself to sit a highly paid running back in favor of another who is clearly performing at a much higher level. The question is just how much involvement the Tepper's have in this process. We already know they essentially forced Evero to stay thus forcing him on their new head coach. Is Canales allowed to make these decisions without checking with the higher ups first? It's a legitimate question that needs to be asked. Because even if we fire this guy we could very well find ourselves right back where we started with essentially another puppet.
  19. I really hate to say it but Brandon Miller is giving Gordon Hayward vibes at this point. Lots of talent. But just cannot stay on the basketball court.
  20. He ironically had his best game against the Packers. This is as good a test as we could ask for at this stage in his career. We need to see him make strides. No excuses.
  21. It's plainly obvious he was trying to appease both players simultaneously which completely tracks with his persona as a head coach here to this point. That's been the legitimate question and criticism about him. He checks all the boxes when it's time to look good and sound positive and cool in front of a camera before any games have been played but when it comes down to the actual nitty gritty and having to actually navigate difficult situations he just looks out of his depth. This isn't even mentioning how alarmingly regularly his team has been blown off the field through his time here. He's either going to adapt and get better or he's going to continue to sink and get himself fired.
  22. I mean given what we gave up to acquire Bryce Young we would all like to be able to say this is true but we've seen him miss reads and we've also seen him miss throws in that scenario where a guy is running along the back of the end zone. There have been times this season where he has badly missed throws in such scenarios. To suggest it would be "automatic" unfortunately does not reflect the reality of what Bryce has been as a passer through the entirety of 37 career games.
  23. Hideous turnovers from our pieces that are supposed to be taking pressure off LaMelo. These dudes are JAG's at best.
  24. We're staring down another lottery pick unfortunately. I like Miles Bridges but we need to upgrade.
