  1. 2 turnovers for Bryce Young. Gotta sit him and go to someone else and give the team a chance at home.
  2. Here's to hoping for at least a competitive game lol
  3. This is simply false. I've been critical of Canales multiple times the last two years and certainly over the last few months going back to preseason this year and last year. He let the starters off too easy two preseasons in a row after they underwhelmed and we started the regular season poorly. I have no idea if he will end up being our coach for the future. It is not looking good for him and he has repeatedly had his team coming out looking completely flat multiple times so far as head coach. If he goes he goes. However. That does not mean I am expecting him or any other coach to magically make Bryce Young a franchise QB because they are not miracle workers. Bryce's physical attributes are what they are and they are severely lacking. It is what it is. Now if you're done just making things up trying to portray me as a hater or this or that I'm going to wish you good luck watching the upcoming game and thank you for your discussion.
  4. There are many unfortunate truths about this franchise. None of them change the fact that Bryce Young has basically no physical tools. Brother you are being a simp. Nobody is blaming Bryce for literally everything. We're saying trying to build a successful NFL offense around his glaring deficiencies is not feasible and that was the catastrophic mistake we made in selecting him. It is what it is. Here is the video. Bryce Young doesn't make this throw. He wouldn't even be able to see the field let alone make use of a jag like Ian Thomas. Vikings vs. Panthers Week 6 Highlights _ NFL 2021.mp4
  5. Eric Collins is great. Unfortunately I doubt we'll give him much to work with. But I appreciate having him.
  6. Please stop saying this already. We were competitive with Sam Darnold early on even with his blunders. Rewind to the game against the Vikings in BOA of 2021. That 41 yard pass he made under duress to Ian fuging Thomas which helped send us to overtime is infinitely more impressive than anything Bryce Young has done in 30+ starts.
  7. Fưck the San Francisco 49ers.
  8. It's not just a talent issue it's not just a scheme issue it's not just a playcalling issue it's not just a coaching issue. When you observe players basically going through the motions it says they don't believe in what they're doing and if they don't believe in what they're doing you evaluate every moving part and reassess. But you can't evaluate every moving part if the engine at the center does not possess the necessary ability for you to open up the entire field and keep the defense honest. What you see now is the result of three years of trying to build a system around this quarterback. All these players watch film together and see the same thing we do. And the only reason guys like TMac looked the way he did early on is because he is the newest part to the system. Only 4 games in and even he is starting to have the same body language. All this other rabble about what Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield are doing as if they are both very short and possess limited at best physical talent is just cope.
  9. Whatever the Panthers do going forward after this season it better be with a mindset that you always need some level of competition in the QB room. Nobody cares about how much the starting QB likes the second or third string QB's. They aren't here to knit sweaters they're here to play football and compete.
  10. The majority of people here seem to agree this is a layered issue on both sides of the ball and coaching is not getting it done on top. But we cannot dismiss the levels of issues that stem from our starting QB with his lack of physical traits and the domino effect it creates for the offense as a whole. Like for example the video mentions we need more plays from the shotgun and more play action as if that's not something the defenses are going to expect. Newsflash Bryce Young played overwhelmingly from shotgun in college and has never been comfortable from under center for a number of a reasons the most obvious being his height and the issues that creates and needing to take longer dropbacks to actually see the field. We ran a ton of plays from shotgun early in his rookie season it didn't make a difference. In October of Bryce Young's third season there are 30+ games worth of tape for defenses to look at and this is how it is going to be for him regardless of scheme or playcalling. Defensive coordinators are daring him to throw downfield and in the rare event he does the passes are consistently poor and off the mark.
  11. The current OL issues were always my concern when we made the panic FA signings that catapulted our salary cap allocation to the unit to the top of the league. For a brief time we did our victory lap but as we have learned as Panthers fans it takes more time to form a full picture. We are really not that much better off and we should have invested in the unit via the draft. There are many things wrong with this franchise currently. The defense is something we've discussed extensively. Evero is not the guy he was sold to be and we hilariously forced him to stay which has blown up in our faces. But for all the talk of how historically bad the defense was last year the reality of the matter is salary cap wise we are amongst the bottom of the league investment wise on that side of the ball for the year so everything flips back to the offense and rightfully so. Really the only thing going for us against the Dolphins is that it's a home game. But my expectations for the offense are more of the same. Even if we score on the first drive it just feels like a matter of time. When we played the Dolphins in 2023 we actually hopped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter then they took us out to the woodshed for the second half. We'll see how ugly it gets this go around.
  12. Dowdle and Etienne are fine. Won't make a difference much regardless unless the pass offense stops being cheeks.
  13. On the surface it is intriguing. But I would not wish dealing with the Tepper's as a coach on Luke Kuechly. We see what they've done to Dan Morgan.
  14. Of course. Although it is necessary to wonder just how far those conversations went in the hiring process. As in when they discussed the plans to "fix" Bryce Young how much leeway does Bryce Young ultimately have if he performs poorly and does Dave Canales have full autonomy to bench him when he feels it's time to make that call? Right now to me it looks like it's Tepper's decision. And if that is indeed the case we're boned no matter who the coach is.
  15. Truthfully if we had drafted Ladd he would probably be disgruntled by now. All the passes thrown at the ground the hospital balls the poor at best ball placement to the sideline and the distinct lack of legitimate downfield passes. Yeah folks are being certainly quite optimistic to think he would be lighting it up here.

  17. Not a good look for him or the team. This is such a stupid situation that the Panthers created. And it is comically inconsistent with how we have babied our first overall pick. But as far as watching the last two games what did any of us learn with him off the field? The pass offense still stinks and can't move the ball consistently. We only beat the Falcons because they kept shooting themselves in the foot Cheddar Bob style.
  18. Rookie first overall pick Cam Ward is 0-4 with the Tennessee Titans and has looked pretty bad but you don't see the media across the board or someone like LeBron James having a pity party for him. That's because he didn't play for Alabama and Nick Saban.
  19. Kudos to him for recognizing what has been plainly obvious to anyone that has watched the Panthers offense.
  20. There has never been a football coach alive or dead that could make Bryce Young a franchise quarterback just to be clear.
  21. Even if we acquired him I feel like it would go no differently than it would if we just played Hendon Hooker. As such I'd rather just play the guy that isn't completely self absorbed to the point he's acting like a mime in front of cameras.
  22. I agree with you that the gameday coaching and situational football scenarios leave a great deal to be desired. On both sides of the ball. Although we must be clear. Evero was forced on Canales by the Tepper's. Canales didn't even interview with anyone else. We hired him solely because of the work he did with past QB's and because he was an offensive mind that had what was perceived to be a strong season with the Bucs. We had a hard nosed culture creator like Mike Vrabel scheduled for an interview but most Panthers fans were in agreement we didn't want a retread and I get the sense he would not have meshed with the Tepper's similarly to how Jim Harbaugh would not have. Because they would have told the Tepper's to fưck off if need be. In hindsight we probably should have rolled the dice on Vrabel but the issue there is I do not believe he would have stood for continuing to play Bryce Young despite dozens of games worth of tape showing he is simply not a starting quarterback. There is no way Vrabel would have made it this long without moving on to another QB. And I also do not believe he would have stood by while the FO made zero attempt to bring in any legitimate competition in the QB room two offseasons in a row. Not a chance in hell. Arguing over whether or not Canales is or isn't "it" is pointless at this juncture. Everything we've done last year and this year has revolved around catering to and building around Bryce Young and our team has continually been worse off for it. Continuing to play him and drag this out is only going to make things worse for everyone involved.
  23. I mean he would have to fully have his head up his ass to not see how limited his offense is and yeah that run play on 3rd down was as obvious of a public signal as it gets. It's honestly crazy how much we have normalized our 4th head coach in 4 years basically being forced to play a QB he had no part in drafting and instead inherited. Yes we did technically hire him to "fix" Bryce Young but wtf was he or anyone else going to do to change Bryce Young's size and lack of physical talent. And Bryce Young won't go anywhere near the weight room now three fuging offseasons in a row but we're trying to set an example for our roster by deactivating WR's and cutting players for performance issues. Regardless of if Canales pans out as a head coach the structure and process of this franchise is a complete and utter joke and that begins and ends with the Tepper's.
