Anyone ever own a jersey of an infamous player?
frankw replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I had a Keyshawn jersey. I still remember the fanfare from that signing with folks having such high hopes. But in the grand scheme of things he's one of the more tame Panthers failures compared to what we've seen in the last decade. -
There are people who do this. But you are quick on the draw yourself with the poo reactions over just about any disagreement so this will fall on deaf ears to many. I reserve that particular reaction for the worst of the worst like bigotry or just extremely low class shitposting that embarrasses the broader fanbase. Maybe give that a try 🫡

We can argue about these players. But this coaching staff is just comically awful. They don't belong in any ranks not even junior high. -

20.5 FG% for the Hornets. Think I'm going to do my eyes a favor and skip the second half. -

Well this takes us back very recently to the talk around his 2nd workout where he seemed "more engaged" versus the first go around. The best case glass half full take says he is talented but young and inconsistent in his effort. He's gotta turn that around in a hurry or we've got another James Bouknight on our hands. Sorry if speaking that hurts anyone's feelings but this franchise is riddled with picks who were talented but just didn't have the drive to become great. I generally am going to take the optimistic approach to this but I absolutely understand the apprehension and frustration some fans here feel about the pick. It's up to Miller to flip the script. I really hope he does. Because it will suck to see another sad ass effort from this summer league team with all the eyes that will be on this game with it being VW's first NBA appearance. -
Acquiring generational wealth for yourself and your kids and probably even their kids. Such agony. This guy is terrible and the people who stuck up for him and attacked others while doing so have not been forgotten.

Can't really get a sense of much when the Hornets SL team as a whole is just flat out butt cheeks. Miller does need to up the ante and the effort though for a second overall pick. I'm bracing for the possibility of Scoot Henderson going off and the media roasting us. -

I'm not worried about Miller after one summer league game. The talent is there. But looking at some of the other performances the Hornets clearly still have a knack for putting players on the court that look like they don't even belong in the sport. -

Hornets basketball folks... -
Tepper is worth 18.5 billion I'm sure he can figure out how to keep real grass and still keep the lights on.

This isn’t a great roster yet but there is really no reason this cannot be a playoff roster. Once Jordan is officially gone the new decision makers need to move on from both dinosaurs Clifford and Kupchak and begin anew.
-
Keep the pick and draft BPA. Doing anything more than that is why Mitch Kupchak was run out of L.A.

I have high hopes for TMJ but no matter what happens in camp I need to see it in preseason too. We've already seen the training camp MVP storyline play out before.

https://deadspin.com/michael-jordan-nba-charlotte-hornets-lamelo-ball-1850550311 The quote below pretty much sums all this up. "For whatever reason, that never materialized in Buzz City, and how much Mike’s at fault for demeaning his guys’ confidence during games of one-on-one, or re-hiring Steve Clifford, is in the eye of the ticket-holders. I’m not here to give MJ a pass for banking on Frank Kaminsky over Devin Booker, or Malik Monk in lieu of Donovan Mitchell, but I’m also not going to act like small-market franchises ever enter an offseason with leverage."

I've heard vaguely of him speaking to Bouknight. Heard of him speaking to Hayward in trying to lure him here. But I'm talking about actively engaging your players on a consistent basis and trying to help them improve their game and the younger kids transitioning to the NBA not on one random encounter here and there. If you thinks he's done enough or more than he could cool we'll just disagree. But he's the GOAT not some random veteran.

Exactly. Why these two clowns? Jordan is the 90's goat and he refused to bestow knowledge or even an attempt at guiding or developing our young players over the years and then he sells to these two? That's about as close as you can get to a fug you to the fans if I've ever seen one. I'm just saying. And I grew up a massive Jordan fan.
-
Okay I kinda rescind my final remark. Let JCole have personnel input. The empty suits only need to worry about finances.
-
Selling the team to two of the most milquetoast meh options available. Fug Michael Jordan.
-
I can appreciate the effort here. But I just can't sell myself on trading for other teams leftovers as being the recipe to end our 20 year playoff series win drought. Why do the Pelicans (New Orleans yuck) any favors? They've already been gifted two first overall picks within the last decade while we sit at zero. If they are targeting a particular prospect heavily at 2nd overall we should take that prospect ourselves and keep it pushing.
-
If he's willing to take a cheap prove it deal kick the tires. If not then see who else emerges in camp behind Sanders. You don't have to sink a boatload of money into the position anymore.
-
Excellent news about the offense. July is going to be fun.
