Steven Smith Sr first round QB breakdown
rmoneyg35 replied to PanthersGTI's topic in Carolina Panthers
I figured Smith would like Young considering Smith was always overlooked because of his size. -
Young's built sturdier than Stroud per BMI
rmoneyg35 replied to MechaZain's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah I noticed a while back that Bryce was actually bigger than some other NFL QBs if you consider how he’s a few inches shorter yet only 10-15 pounds lighter. Him being small is being blown out of proportion. -
Bryce Young will be the best QB ever in Charlotte
rmoneyg35 replied to Diehardpanth02's topic in Carolina Panthers
I love how people act like Cam was the best QB ever and act like he was one of the best QBs when he was rarely even a top 10 qb passing wise and taking into context his turnovers and completion percentage and Cam was probably a top 15 QB. Of course people always want to give him the excuse of “if he only had an all pro offensive line and 3 all pro WR then he would have been better” completely ignoring how other great QBs would have no offensive line or WRs and still put up better numbers. Cam was our best QB. He had some great seasons but he wasn’t a top 10 qb. -
You bring up a good point, if a Qb knows to give himself up and slide down compared to keep running and take a hit then that Qb isn’t going to be a lot safer. The fact Young already has this instinct is a good thing. Look at Cam who always had the instinct to keep running instead of slide and avoid the hit. Some things you can’t teach. The NFL loves protecting QBs and as long as Young knows how to avoid hits then his size won’t be as big of an issue as many think.

Mike Kaye: Panthers looking to add EDGE player
rmoneyg35 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m hoping some of these FA edge rushers price will drop after the draft after they see they won’t be getting as much as they originally thought. -
I think context is key. he was hardly used and at best was the #3 WR. When he finally started getting used this year it was mostly when we had a 2nd-3rd string Qb and we ran the ball a lot. He has potential still and with the right offense and coaches I think he can be a star.

I think Chinn or Luvu could get lost in the shuffle especially with the switch to 3-4. I don’t think Luvu is going to be a good 3-4 OLB. Granted I’m sure we will still have some 4-3 packages he could play. So the question is if Chinn or Luvu will be the ILB beside Shaq? I’m sure Haynes and YGM will start opposite burns. Haynes actually might thrive in a 3-4 olb role. He’s put up some good PFF numbers in a limited role and has improved with time. YGM hasn’t really shown much. Then there is Barno. Also Luvu could end up being a back up OLB? Could Chinn also play 3-4 OLB?

I think you’re looking too far into it. Just good contracts on players who are undervalued because of injuries or lack of playing time. We got a few cheap starters too that might not have flashy names but will get the job done. The best part is we haven’t made any crazy signings that could hurt us in the future and still have cap for extensions on our younger core.

Former Panthers QB Cam Newton to be throwing at Auburn's Pro Day
rmoneyg35 replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
If he was that good then you honestly think there would be 32 teams passing on him? Let’s not forget how bad his season with the patriots was. I think he only had 2 games where he threw for over 200 yards and I think 6-8 games where he threw for less than 100 yards. He’s not good anymore. -
Bears would have accepted Moore, Burns or Brown.
rmoneyg35 replied to Varking's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we would have traded Burns I would have not given up but one first. -
I actually been wondering why we didn’t resign him since we switched to 3-4 he would have been perfect fit.

Bryce young is 204 pounds right now. Drew Brees was 6 ft and 209 pounds and Russell Wilson was 5-11 and 214. Stop acting like he’s soo much smaller than those two who had long and basically healthy nfl careers. Hell he’s actually bulkier than Bree’s if you consider he’s 2 inches taller and only 5 more pounds heavier. Let’s also not ignore how todays nfl is when it comes to protecting the QB. He can bulk up. Plenty of players needed to gain weight when being drafted and were able to put on a lot more weight than Bryce needs to. If he just puts on an extra 10 pounds of muscle he would be fine. Let’s not act like being a few inches shorter is going to make some big difference, it’s not. He has the talent, the smarts and the work ethic. Others don’t.

“The hospital is next to the stadium” he said with joy.

Marc Ryan - "Carolina Zeroed in on Stroud and Richardson"
rmoneyg35 replied to CPcavedweller's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well that’s funny because my source says it’s Will Anderson. -
I’m fine with depth signings. all it takes is one injury and we are screwed. Atleast he can be a decent starter if need be.

Like there hasn’t been big defensive linemen to get ahold of young already? -
Most honest CJ Stroud film analysis!!
rmoneyg35 replied to Ivory Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Isn’t that a bs statement though? You can take the best QBs of all time like Brady and Manning and they will fall with enough pressure. -
Bell is only 28 and been around for a while. 66 PFF grade and 4 int.

Tony Pauline: CJ Stroud or Anthony Richardson
rmoneyg35 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Is anyone bothered by the fact that Justin Fields and Dwayne Haskins basically had the exact same stats (maybe better) than Stroud? We seen how good of a passer they ended up being and it wasn’t great. we’ve seen Alabama QBs translate to the NFL recently (Hurts,Tua,Jones) Could Stroud just be a product of the system that doesn’t translate to the NFL?
