  1. Lol there is so much that is false in here.
  2. Never said he was, but that doesn’t mean he was some extremely gifted QB either. He benefited from a wide-open offensive spread system and Mike Evans. He was a good college playmaker but you are wrong if you think the only thing he was lacking is attitude.
  3. What is funny about it? Or why do you disagree? He had a solid arm and solid running ability for a QB. But he wasn’t gifted enough to be a consistent runner in NFL, and his arm relative to other NFL QBs was nothing special. He was also very undersized. Manziel fell for more reasons than just his attitude. Even if he was a hard worker I don’t think he works out because he wasn’t that good of a prospect.
  4. Manziel was not that physically talented.
  5. Too bad Jeff Otah's knees couldn't hold up. Some people have tried calling him lazy but I don't think you can blame a 330-pound mammoth for not being able to overcome persistent knee problems. Otah in 2008 was an absolute beast though. He was a future All-Pro. On a separate note... could ya'll imagine that 2008 and 2009 offense with a QB other than Jake Delhomme? Good lord. Cam Newton showed up to the Panthers 3-2 years too late. 2008/2009 definitely had to be the last time where you could sit back and say the Panthers fielded a great OL (Gross-Wharton-Kalil-Vincent-Otah... my god). Smith was in his prime. Moose was still very, very good. Hoover was the best blocking FB in the game. Williams, Stewart... man those 2008 and 2009 teams doesn't get talked about enough when it comes to miss opportunities. All we had to do was not commit to washed Jake Delhomme. I mean okay in 2008 I get it, Delhomme played well in '07 before his injury and obviously we didn't know how bad he'd get. But in 2009 we did our team a disservice. That team was so good in 2009 all we needed was a decent QB. Matt Moore would have taken us to the playoffs for sure.
  6. Sure, but servers can't be the only ones who benefit from being tipped. If servers are going to be tipped then the bar (although where I work, we don't tip out the bar but only because they make so much money off of togo) and bussers absolutely deserve to be tipped out too. The job for servers would be 10x more difficult without a buster or two. So I get what you are saying but with the rules the way they are then I think it is absolutely fair for servers to tip out 4% of their sales. I'm not saying that restaurant still isn't shady because most are, but I do think there is a fair explanation for why she had $200 taken out of her check based off the information you have given me. And I do not think it is accurate to say that she worked for free. Assuming 2 bartenders and 1 busser, that $40 tip-out each day is only $13 for each person. And so even if every server in the restaurant is breaking $1000 in sales (and damn that's a productive restaurant if so) and you have 6 servers on the floor, that is $78 for each busser/bartender. Compared to the 180 you as a server made that shift. That is absolutely fair.
  7. Because what you are saying isn't making any sense to me. I don't understand the problem. Every server in any restaurant (or just about, unless the bar/hosts/bussers are making a very good hourly which is unlikely other than for hosts) has or is expected to tip out. It is likely somewhere around 2%-4% for the bussers/runners and bar, and sometimes hosts. If she made $1000 in tips in 5 days, that means she is probably averaging about $1000 in sales each shift (assuming 1 shift a day and assuming she is being tipped about 20%; that comes out to $200 in tips each shift). $5000 in sales * .04 (4% standard tip-out) = $200 tipped out. So no she didn't work for free. She did the standard tip-out that is owed to bussers/hosts. Every restaurant I've worked at does this. Not sure what the problem is. And if that waitress quit because she didn't understand how tip-outs work, then that is on her. And no offense to your wife, how is she a manager and she doesn't understand that tipping out is a standard process? Unless again there are some details that you are leaving out. Is the tip out not going to the bussers or hosts? If not then yes it is absolutely 100% illegal for a restaurant to just take money out of someone's check. But I seriously doubt that is happening. If it is then tell your wife to report it immediately. I think there would be a lot more clarity if they didn't do tips by checks and simply did it at the end of the night w/ cash. Because ultimately that tip out amounts to just about $40 each shift (again assuming 1 shift a day) which is absolutely standard. And if you are working at a restaurant right now where you are able to rake in 180 (on average) after tip-out? I'm not sure why you quit. That is about as good as it is going to get in a restaurant right now with everything that has happened.
  8. Besides, how can someone get mad over something that hasn't actually happened lol
  9. Because if you want him, it is safer to go ahead and trade a 6th or 7th round pick for him as opposed to trying to compete with other teams to sign him in FA. Not saying I want him. Just explaining the rationale behind why you would give up a pick for him, even if you think he's going to get cut. It secures you his services.
  10. As someone who's worked in a restaurant I'm confused by this. Your tip out is based on your sales. Unless a server didn't get tipped on any of their tables, then there is no way they tipped out more than they made, much less to the point where they tipped out $200 and profited $0.
  11. Where is this source that Russell Wilson is disliked in the locker-room? Post it in this thread. And I want something more recent than just that one report from 2017 that was likely leaked by Sherman (or someone in Sherman's circle) considering it was clear he was leaving after that season. Give me anything more recent than that (or even anything that's just other than that) that talks about how Russell Wilson is loathed in the locker-room and/or that it has become a problem for the team. Otherwise I'm just going to assume that Wilson's relations with his teammates are nowhere near as bad as you are making it seem. And that it clearly is nowhere close to Owens' situations.
  12. It is also funny that your standards for success is always "championship or bust". The teams Owens played for almost always made the playoffs. So it wasn't even like Owens stopped his teams from winning either. ALSO funny how you mentioned them his teams not winning a Super Bowl when Owens had one of the all-time greatest WR performances in Super Bowl history. You really think Owens was the reason the Eagles didn't win a Super Bowl in 2004?! You literally have no clue what you are talking about.
  13. Dude, you are insane lol You have no point. You are trying to compare Russell Wilson to Terrell Owens as a reason for not wanting him. That is dumb as hell. Situations aren't even close to the same. And seriously, what the hell is your point? You made it seem like Wilson being a diva would stop a team from winning but all the Seahawks have done under him is win football games. So stop trying to act like you have a point. You just be saying stuff for the sake of it
  14. Honest question. Would you not take Michael Jordan on your team for the same reasons? Because he rubbed teammates the wrong way? Or do you care more about winning?
  15. But it still isn't nearly as bad as Terrell Owens! Like come on dude. The problem with TO was how public he made everything. All the crap you are saying is just leaks and sources. Sure yeah it may bother them but clearly has never gotten to the point where it's actually truly disrupted the team like the Owens situations. You are just talking BS or you clearly don't remember all that was wrong with Owens and his antics. And again... why the heck as a fan should I care if some of his coworkers are rubbed off by how he's treated? It's called real-life. People get preferential treatment in all phases of life. At the end of the day though, the final results matter the most. Russ has been at minimum very good in every single season he's played and he wins 10+ games damn near every single year. So what you are saying is ridiculous. Russ being a diva clearly hasn't impeded them in any way. Why would it somehow start impeding a new team?
  16. And they will be so random too. Like he'll just draw the most random comparisons to try and prove a point "Hey, ya'll wanna draft Trevor Lawrence?" "I've seen this kind of love for a Clemson QB before. His name was Tajh Boyd, and the team that drafted him regretted it."
  17. Right lol dude is talking nonsense. On top of that, Wilson isn't anywhere close to the locker-room problem that Owens was. Not even close. Like what?
  18. Okay... but he wins. And he is extremely productive. Like, what? You don't pass on Russ just because he's a "diva". Seahawks win every year and Russ is the main reason for that. Look at all the turnover they have had and yet, still winning. Russ isn't on the decline. He just had a rough stretch last year against good defenses. Are we gonna act like he wasn't leading the MVP race early last year? Give me a break. Russell Wilson is not a problem. To not want to touch him with a 10-foot pole is to not want to win football games.
  19. The guy wins football games and has literally never had a season that wasn't at the very least good. And he has been undeniably great for 5 out of the last 6 seasons. He's also one of the most clutch QBs of all-time. Who the hell cares if he is a diva?
  20. It's insane to me that people wouldn't want to do that deal lol Give me 5 years of being talked about as a Super Bowl contender strictly because of how good our QB is than taking a gamble on hitting the next 3 1st round picks (especially considering the one this year will most likely be used in some way to get a QB).
  21. I know I'm in the minority but I'm easily trading 3 1st round picks for Russell Wilson if that is all it would take and nothing more (we'd need to include Teddy in the deal too though). Like I said in another thread. No reason to think Wilson can't stay healthy as he gets older. He's 32 so we're probably talking 4 or 5 more years of high-level play at least. Some may think that doesn't make us a contender but I disagree. Look at how competitive last year. Add Russ to that, a healthy CMC, and our young players on defense getting more experience? We're at the very least a playoff team. And now with Wilson and McCaffrey on the same offense, we become one of the most desirable spots in the league for any players looking to win-now. Which in a way can help make up for the lack of a 1st round pick in 2022 and 2023. Wouldn't even be any hesitation in my mind.
