We can dissect each individual playcall and situational problems as much as we want, but this is not what you want to see out of a #1 overall pick. #1 OVERALL. Just stop. We've passed the point of pointing out 1-3 moments PER GAME where he leads a guy for at most a 15 yard gain. There's just not many more excuses left. Sure, he has some okay moments with some pretty 10-15 yarders in the second half but you're lying to yourself if you're not admitting how shaky he looks. He looks jittery, he looks nervous, he looks shaky. Am I going crazy? Or are we just not wanting to admit what's in front of us? Stats be damned, just watch the kid. A "calm demeanor" on the sidelines and in pressers does not equate to poise. You have to step up, make plays, and manufacturer TDs at some point. Yes, the personnel is crap, but this is inexcusable for what we were sold. I feel awful for the kid, awful for the fans, awful for everyone. It's not over for Bryce. The kid has skills, but he is simply not showing anything that can elevate a team right now.

This is not typically how I roll. But re: the title--it really isn't too early. He seems like a good dude, he had his success, SB win as an OC...but his hire had the same weirdness that rehiring Hurney and the Hornets rehiring Clifford did. I gave it some consideration as he built the staff, seemed super promising. We heard the players who came to praise the crew we brought together, we heard talking heads hype this coaching situation. It has just been an unmitigated disaster thus far and we're about to play a league top Lions team and then Miami.. 0-6 is coming folks. Things still feel directionless. They don't trust Bryce. Bryce doesn't trust himself, the playcalling is awful, the OL is depleted, the whole team seems to be in a tailspin. They sold us a few things: Playoffs were in the cards We built the defense first, offense second, and then had the opportunity to give up assets bc we just needed a QB to insert They were setting things up as if we were ready for takeoff. Then it doesn't quite happen out the gate. Okay, that's understandable. But, thing is, even in loses, you want to see SOMETHING. Some type of WR stepping up, some chunk plays busting out here and there, some nice moments from a guy we spent huge capital to get. We have gotten nothing. Zilch, zero. Nada. This is one of the most embarrassing things I've witnessed as a fan of the Panthers, Blackhawks, Braves, and Hornets. I've just never seen such flatness, such uninspiring play. Poor team construction, a QB that seems entirely frazzled. This entire situation seems awful. Rhule was at least a dud that you could say was a dud, bad hire, not NFL caliber. Reich is this "regarded" figure that is absolutely failing right now. And the constant talking heads saying Bryce has his moments, or Reich just needs time are looking more silly by the day. Talk me back into this please.

Yeah I notice his posts. Same with LG. But honestly, it's understandable, reactionary stuff, but nothing that requires heavy defense. It's just a bad situation right now for the team. It's easy to pick on Bryce but the more apparent issue is who's attempting to lead him into playing in the NFL. This "rockstar" staff is failing the entire offense. The lack of speed and gamebreaking ability is also a huge problem.

It's not necessarily the money. I can see the argument it's not a team constricting financial situation, however, what we did pay him positioned Miles to be our 80% running snap RB. That's just a poor decision.

I'm not seeing a single person saying Bryce was the reason we lost. Reich is far and away getting the most fruit hurled at him post-play.

Kyle Allen coming in for Cam starting 5-0 still appears to be our brightest moment at QB post-Cam. Let that soak in.

Vikings gave us about 5 drives in a row to take over this game. Their offense did NOTHIING.

Bryce simply cannot move the ball in the NFL. This is Zach Wilson, Clausen, Siemien, Jake Locker, Drew Lock level stuff. I'm sorry, but it's starting to look apparent irregardless of playcalling. Nothing is in sync, he's not paying attention, there's calmness disguised as poise. That being said, can't disocunt him, being a bit reactionary..it just looks and seems awful right now.

Still don't understand why we didn't try to add any speed at all to this offense in the off season aside Chark. This is embarrassing, top down. We've tripped running out of the tunnel this season after proclaiming playoff aspirations and that we traded up for some next big thing. This is just so depressing.

Even the crappy announcers have given up on Bryce and are calling out our predictable play calls.

I need to see a replay bc Smith seem to just go for a sound sack and the ball popped out with way too much ease.

This is what I've been thinking was a big issue for us. The guards just aren't displacing and their timing is off. Sloppy, ineffective play. This is likely due to them being what I call "not good"

Well Miles was a DNP today so Hubbard may be in from the get-go this weekend

The Houston, Indy and Chicago games are the ones that will be super telling/could result in some major shade being thrown if we don't start pulling out Ws. Those are the teams in our tier going into the season. 2 of them being in the same boat - New coach, new QB, major makeovers throughout. The other team being in absolute disarray after we gave them our top offensive weapon and draft pick in 2024. That stretch will be telling. This Vikings game -- we at minimum need to see a competent offense with Bryce on the field. No ifs ands or buts about it.
