TE: Sam LaPorta could end up the best TE in this class and has crazy upside. He brings it all. Definitely my new favorite, dare I say, even over Musgrave and Washington. EDGE: A huge second to Felix Anudike-Uzomah. His pass rushing skills are legit. RB: Tyjae Spears for an all-around pass catching running back to compliment either Jamaal or D'onta WR: Hands down, Andre Iosivas outside the top guys. He's a non-dropsies Christian Watson. Do not mind Tanke Dell, Rashee Rice or Tyler Scott one bit either, but Iosivas would be a great outside guy. IDL: Keeanu Benton out of Wisconsin. As hard-nosed lineman as they come out of a school that produces the gritty, big boys.

It's not my top move, and I doubt really happens but it's a different scenario to consider. Smith-Njigba is definitely trending towards a top-10 pick and would be a pretty dope tandem with DJ Moore. Only issue is how we attack the vet route. I just can't do Darnold again (and doubt the new staff would) if Hooker is this late 1st/early R2 pick a la Lamar, Hurts, Derek, etc. That being said, I'm heavily favoring a Stroud, then Young, then Richardson.

Honestly, given how much Fitt wheels and deals, we could end up with a 1st by the time 2025 rolls around through other means. And not even factoring any future prospects of trading back to net more picks, there's so much you can do to finagle and target who you want between now and 2024/25. And if we nail this, these future picks are towards the end of the rounds. I think we're just so used to these top 10 picks now that our perception of R1 incremental value is skewed compared to fans of the teams that don't mind trading them a lot (Philly, LAR, BAL, etc.)

I think a negotiated price for #1 would look like: Pick 9, Pick 39, 2024 1st, 2024 3rd, 2025 1st, & maybe a player If that's the case, I'd like to think Chicago wouldn't have an issue throwing us a mid rounder in return as well with Pick 1. Ends up with... 2023: 7 picks total 1-1, 61 (2nd), 94 (3rd), (3)4ths (one from Chi) and (1)5th 2024: 6 picks total 2nd, 4th, (2)5ths, 6th, 7th 2025: All picks sans R1 And then who knows, by the time 2025 rolls around, maybe there's an opportunity where we've netted a first through a separate trade. This year could still end up with a group like: 1-Stroud QB, 2-Downs WR, 3-LaPorta TE (or something along those lines, get some defensive players with the later picks)

That would be my goal if I'm Fitt. You either preserve #39 or 2024's 1st. I'd love to keep one of those two if we trade up somehow. Moving to 1, it's gonna be near impossible to do the latter (2024 1st). If we're talking to AZ -- Pick 9, 61, 2025 1st, 2024 2nd -- Could that do it? CHI at 1: 9, 61, 2024 1st, 2025 1st but then I'd ask for one of their 4ths in return this year so we preserve a mid-rounder..or maybe a mid-rounder in 2024? End up with 1-1, 39, 3rd, then we get (3) 4ths. That still allows us to add weapons.

Of course but it appears like they're all engaged and in conversation. His opinion will hold water and does offer some insight to potential preferences. No doubt, he's not the decision maker though.

Given McCown’s vids and Reich’s preferences, I’d think it’s Stroud. That tweet isn’t some random dude, he’s a Bears reporter. Now that is quite interesting.

I for one like the chat. The “I only care about wins” type stuff is cringey. People like chatting about the team design. It’s not a big deal. Light hearted fluff is fine. Would love at least an update/ modernization. We should definitely keep the general scheme of things, just revise it a bit but keep timelessness in mind. Quite happy we haven’t changed like ATL or JAX keep doing but others like how the Jets or Bills have updated is nice. If we land a new franchise QB and get things going with this new staff, it would be a cool move to usher in a new era.

Josh Whyle is another to watch. Athletic, really nice hands-catcher. Natural receiver and strong blocker. 6'6 235 4.69 today

I like him a lot but tempering expectations. There've been guys like him before with the monster label that weren't hits. Really exciting prospect though.

Yeah I hope they are coveting 39 and next year's 1st in most talks. There's going to be legit EDGE and TE talent in R2. Those would be my priority keeps. If we can figure something out to move up with the batch of 2025's 1st, 24' 2nd-4th rounders, and 61, I would find it to be very successful negotiations.

I know The Athletic and DJer are both big on Schoonmaker. Saw it reported that many clubs are big fans of him, scouting community is preferential to his resume. The TE class makes up for a rather shallow pond of top WRs this year.

Schoonmaker ran a 4.63 at 6'5 251. He's really being underlooked.

No one has stickier hands than Kincaid though. That boy is amazing. I'd be targeting him somehow. I'm sure he reminds our staff of Goedert who they are quite familiar with.
