Moving on to the 2nd round discussion
Bear Hands replied to flagfootballcoach28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Honestly, if you compare Ez, Swinson and Princely to the edge going in the first, there’s really not a big gap at all (minus Carter). Even when considering upside and these guys all have the production to back it up. Not to mention better fits with the length you want. -

Wants Big Trade up: Ez, Emmanwori Minor Trade up: Swinson, Schwesinger Stay Put: Princely, JT Tui, Norman-Lott, Xavier Watts, Trey Amos, Trapilo, Mbow The “go bananas” option: Jaylin Noel -
Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8

Yeah Walker is the type that could just not make an impact. Chaissson esque. Mykel didn’t have the burst Pearce has a screw loose. Green may have a dick loose. Graham may have edged out Tmac if there but it seemed our board was 1-Carter 2-Graham 3-Tmac (over the other front-7 guys) Ezeiruaku or Swinson would be excellent value that are at a similar level to these 1st rounders, with honestly less limitations and similar upside. The other offensive skill guys don’t really touch Hunter or Tmac. -

I’m just reading the first three words and trusting you’ll keep it chill. @ForJimmy agree to disagree on this one, moving on… -
Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8

Alright man, if you’re not giving any runway to actually discuss and want to corner everyone into these spats, we’re gonna have a problem. All good? It shouldn’t be that difficult to have a healthy discussion. -
Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8

Yeah there’s the guys that legit fall due to character/injury (Pearce, WJ) but then ones where it’s pure fatigue of discussion — think it happened with McMillan and Graham a bit this year. -
Also, our HC made his bread and butter with WRs, so let’s see what he thinks he got himself with one worth 8 overall. I think people are getting lost at Canales’ potential input - the presser seemed to show he had a very good grasp on what Tmac was bringing and the type of infrastructure he wants here.

Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8

Not to mention, how they’re ranked as prospects is never clean with the output. Marv Jr was this undeniable prospect but now people are really questioning if he’s a #1 with Nabers and BTJ looking like the absolute truth for their squads. Also a lesson- never shy from the LSU receivers — minus that one we drafted lol -
Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8

To be clear WR2. Hunter is CB1 but clearly WR1 as well. But I agree with your sentiment. Brugler and Mays were talking about him compared to last year and confidently said he would have gone ahead of BTJ, maybe Odunze (or between the two) -
I also loved Tyleik and thought a team would grab him R1 so I’m not surprised. Some pundits were, but I think it’s a stellar pick.

Rounds 2-3 today— unexpected (for some) day 1 but I think all in all, a fun one. Needs: OLB, ILB, DL, CB, S, OL

Score dem points!! -
Scoring and Front-7 is what gets you to win games. We still needed firepower. Regarding McMillan - where I’m at is getting excited. Many were willing to take gambles on front-7 guys with serious question marks whether physically, skill wise or off the field concerns. And if a guy has the elite hands and plays well in traffic, that helps with the separation. He’s not as physical as London but he’s got some finesse to his game. Played super well in a crazy year for that program and poor QB play. I think he has a really high floor, interested to see how good he could be.

Yeah I could see a situation like that happening for Swinson or Princely. Those two could be had. Ez may be more difficult to swing. -

I was going to say “hey there still on the board” but then I remembered we drafted McMillan. I’m slipping haha -
How dare you not call that man by one of his nicknames.

I want green as well but I gotta work tomorrow
-
We just let him start using his other accounts.

Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8

He has our HC's stamp and our HC made his name as a WR coach who made 3rd-7th rounders into difference makers. Let's see how it rolls. Let's see how this class rolls. -
Good pick for WFT
-
Lions just took the best run defender in the last 2 draft classes
