Idk if it's me getting older and not getting so emotional about every move the team makes, but it seems like to me for the first time we have a coach and staff and recognizes problems on the team and tries to fix them. Unlike what we've had for the past 2 decades where the coach and staff instead of fixing problems leaves me saying "oh so we're just going to keep beating our heads against the wall over and over again huh?".

Daley is still here. Reed wasn't special. I think Daley actually looked better at LG imo.

Also, how many times did we see every game that Teddy had plenty of time to make big plays, but simply refused to? Make those plays and we are in the playoffs. The line wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst as some think.

To ease some minds, our problems going deep wasn't because of the oline last year. With a QB that could throw deep, we would've won more games and possibly be in the playoffs even with that line. Also, the draft isn't over.

We drafted players to fix our weak areas. We couldn't get off the field on 3rd downs, we draft the best CB. We had problems in the red zone, we draft Marshall. Can we stop all the bitching now?

I don't get it. It's like people aren't using their brain anymore. We tried to get Stafford, another team offered more. We tried to get Watson, allegations showed up. There weren't many other options for us to get other than Darnold. We couldn't stay with Teddy. He showed what kind of QB he is and it wasn't enough. After Lawrence, the rest of the QBs in the draft had about the same potential as Darnold and the same age. Darnold was drafted to an awful team with awful coaching and staff. This is essentially Darnold's rookie year and instead of giving up assets to get someone close to the same potential, the largest asset we gave up was a 2nd next year. I'm just glad we have a staff that recognizes mistakes or players not performing and moves on from them instead of sticking with him for far too long like our last regime did. I'm tired of all the bitching.

Yeah it wasn't. If we gave more time to our backups and we still won, then so be it. I wouldn't be as upset over it, but going into it and playing the starters the whole game and acting like we still had a chance to make the playoffs was just dumb.

I don't hate it. Our defensive backfield sucks. Only other day 1 starter we could've picked was Slater, but I'm holding out hope we build the line with the rest of our picks in this deep OL class.
