Cousins deal is 4 year 180 million. I think its questionable to draft a QB at 8th that seems like a reach at 8th instead of getting cousins more help. But if cousins plays his 4 years they will get a year assuming they take the 5th year option to evaluate Penix. I dont have alot of faith in Penix. its not the panthers so just discussing b/c its such a slow time but it has to make cousins a little disgruntled, but 180million will help with that lol.

Its a slow news cycle just was reading a little about the dynamics of the falcons paying a ton for cousins only to use the 8th overall pick on penix instead of someone to help cousins. Really makes no sense to lock cousins in long term and not use the 8th pick to get him more help. Reminded me of something the panthers would do and gave me hope that the falcons are trending down instead of up.

The great thing about Young being horrific last year is he doesnt have to do much at all to improve on his rookie season lol

as bryce stinks it up and rhe announcers talk about how he doesnt have the weopons or coaching to succeed and its really not his fault and he is actually secretly a ton 10 qb masquerading as an undrafted rookie

In the nfc south if we had picked stroud i believe easily playoff team and everyone frank may have gotten coach of the year.

You bring up a good point with youngs very weak arm brady may bring out the best in him with the check down offense.

I thought so when he was here but Robbie left and did nothing and Curtis Samuel was horrible when he left also. I thought Samuel would be a probowler with a good qb.

For some it will never be youngs fault always everyone elses.

DB is a really good player that contract is rich hopefully he continues to improve to make it a fair contract. Right now not sure he is the fourth best DT in the nfl but still glad panthers held onto him.

Feel like he has become so much more of a tv sports show guy now that he does the positive on almost anyone.

Well if money was similiar andoptions were rodgers or young no wr would choose young

AT was 10th in receptions 15th in targets his yards per reception was low could argue that was due to horrible qb and oline play or could argue he just is slowing down probably some of both but not sure removing youngs only dependable trusted wr would be beneficial but could be wrong.

I didnt think about the comp pic formula with fields if they could rehab his image and he signs a big money deal next season pit could make out like bandits

Late to see this news but wouldnt have minded howell trade at all. They basically got a qb who was leading the nfl in yards halfway through last year for almost nothing. I believe he starts for seattle at some pointhis year.

Your post had me curious so i looked up cam stats rushing compared to hill. Couldnt find a short yardage success rate for cam found hills around 79%. Who knows both very good at running cam def had the edge passing.

Leading the receiver towards the sideline allowing him to drag his feet and make the catch low and away . The pass was behind the wr causing him to try and stop or reach back making it a tough catch but still should have been caught . Tough throw also but one 1st overall pick should make. Both seem terrible maybe this year will be better if not both should be gone.

Fields has never averaged more than 200 passing yards a year....even with weapons and a good oline . Everyone that thinks fields is awesome just learned how awesome every coach in the nfl considers him...with all that said he still would possibly be an upgrade to b young.

Depends how you look at it he was 10th in the nfl in receptions. Out of thosd top ten in receptions he had 20 less targets than the closest wr in the top ten in receptions. His average was low but was inline with the rest of the panthers recievers. So it could be he had a great year with poor qb oline play or the qb was being held back by terrible wrs and oline play. This year will tell more. From what i saw of b youngs play i was amazed any of the recievers ever produced anything.

Adam thielen had a great year with terrible qb/oline play he will be a solid wr this year plus some more speed wr. Hw could probably find a better fit like kc or buff but would love him to be a panther

Yeah chase young didnt do anything knowing he was playing for a payday not sure what would motivate him after he gets paid

There is a new test they are having players have gps monitors on during route drills and gives them fastest playing speed data started just last year and rams good rookie wr had the best football speed during it

Good thing he got paid after a year blocking for young he will be talked about as one of thr worse guards in the league
