I believe Bryce came out and said the 4 sacks from the cb blitz were on him its his job to recognize it and shift protection or get rid of the ball to the guy left open from the blitzing corner.

When the QB is no threat at all it makes it alot easier to stop the run. Other teams may actually prefer young to pass so they have a better chance of an int or fumble. He is at Jimmy C level of bad back when we would take the qb out and just run the wishbone b/c running non stop was a better play then having the qb on the field. Young has brought everyone around him down. The oline looks worse when the qb takes forever to throw the ball, wrs cant catch inaccurate or not thrown passes. Defense is always in terrible spots or on the field too long. Coaches all look horrible b/c not many plays in the playbook for qbs who cannot throw or run well. Crazy looking back I would rather Darnald, Mayfield, any qb drafted Kyle allen , taylor heineki, cam off the couch, its just hard to watch the panthers offense right now.

Hard to judge anyone when the QB played that badly. Saints had no fear of the pass at all. It has to be hard for the players when the qb is that bad.

Thats the thing with young he doesnt even have the physical traits to succeed in the nfl even if he started making the correct decisions and started processing the game quicker. At least with levis who also had a bad game yesterday you can see he has the ability to make nfl throws

He did have a historically bad qb to work with will never really know how bad all the coaches were or if young just killed them all.

This game has to be hard for the young defenders even the ones with complete alabama blinders

A thielen was solid like always. Byoung just was so bad missed so many openings and slow to read react to anything

Out of all the qbs we could have had instead of young levis didnt look much better the rest did though

So all byoung needs is all probowl oline rb and wr and number 1 defense and the panthers can win a game

Jimmy c was a worse qb but when you look at the amount the panthers gave up for him combined with being number one overall yeah he is the worse

I see on national news everyone constantly talking about how long before fields replaces wilson. So i was curious looked up stats for wilson, fields, and panthers former qb kyle allen who is the third string in pit. Wilson best by far, Fields easily third best. Then you look at preseason Kyle allen best by far then wilson then fields. I just dont get how people keep thinking fields is good when he has proven over and over again he is bad but good for a few flash plays. On another note Kyle Allen stats when he was with us actually way better than Byoungs

This year will show more but if stroud and young switched last year. The panthers win the division and make the playoffs. The texans are laughed at for taking a terrible qb. The teams were not that different minus QB.

Just looking at stats from the game his stats were on par with byoung or better . So looking at this one game they both had really good games .

This season will show if Frank firing was the right call of if young is a terrible coach killing qb. We should revisit this thread about 5 games in.

They should only bring all the starters out for the 4th quarter and go against the bills cut squad. Get some confidence going lol
