  1. Nice adjustment by Thomas on the catch and now a great run by Chuba. Very nice.
  2. That was about as blatant as a pick play gets. LOL! WR didn't even try to hide it.
  3. I wouldn't say that. He tried to throw it into perfectly bracketed double coverage. That had no chance of being caught by us.
  4. Yes. This is what we've all been wanting. So, let's see what it looks like on the field.
  5. OU just won on a last second TD. They were down 38-20 at half when the backup QB took over. Rattler might be legit done at OU. Wow.
  6. Agreed. Sam is off to a very promising start, but it's just absurd to suggest that his "floor" (aka literally worst case possible outcome) is a guy who at one point last season was a dark horse MVP candidate. Some folks in this thread just can't comprehend that's specifically what I'm talking about here.
  7. Spencer Rattler got benched at halftime today. His backup has looked considerably better. I'm not 100% certain he's getting his job back. This is gonna be an interesting situation to watch.
  8. The only contempt I show is in return. I'm fine with people disagreeing, but I have no patience and show no respect to the poo slingers and whiners. Sorry, not sorry. You're the leading poo slinger on this site. I'll hear of no talk of "maturity level" from you. Clown.
  9. They were just starting to change and then it absolutely downpoured this week. This week's rain is almost certainly going to result in this fall's leaves being a dud. Sorry.
  10. Says the guy who pretty much just follows me around this site whining. LOL! You used to be a solid poster, but you've become a joke. Maybe lay off watching the Hurricanes for awhile. Maybe you'll come back to your senses.
  11. We have people crying in here because I've pointed out that suggesting that any developing QB's floor is a guy coming off a 3800 yard, 33 TD, 7 INT season is absurd. That's not a knock on Sam Darnold in anyway shape or form. It's a knock on certain posters' having room temperature IQs for not realizing how absurd of a comparison that is. I'm not knocking Sam. I'm knocking y'all. And laughing at y'all.
  12. Cry more because it's legit hilarious.
  13. Winning an MVP award comes down to having the right season the right year. MVP voting is usually very lopsided toward the winner so "never having gotten a single MVP vote" really isn't all that significant.
  14. Yeah, Seattle's D has sucked for years now. Without Wilson, they're a bottom feeder and Pete Carroll was probably fired a couple of years ago. He's been floating that organization for awhile now.
  15. Ryan Tannehill threw for 3800 yards and 33 TDs vs. 7 INTs last year. I don't think that's any developing QB's "floor".
  16. I despise Wilson simply because he's been a thorn in my teams' ass for the majority of his post-HS career. But we have mutual friends and I've been assured that his seemingly over the top nice guy act is actually legit. He really is that dude. This really comes down to Darnold's play. If he ends up being so-so, we should be in the mix if Wilson is available. If Darnold ends up being good, then it becomes a judgement call. What do we think his ceiling is? How long do we think Wilson has elite QB play left in the tank? Three years? Five years? Eight years? If we think Darnold's ceiling is just "good" and we think Wilson has 5+ years in the tank, then I think you have to be in the mix. Ultimately, I hope Darnold continues to improve over the course of the season to the point that this ends up being a moot point. Second best scenario would be Darnold improves enough over the course of the season to net good trade value and we trade say three 1sts for Wilson and get a 1st and maybe a bit of icing on the cake back from someone else in exchange from Darnold. In either situation, the Darnold trade would have ultimately been a success for us. We'll just have to see how it all pans out. We'd also have to convince Wilson of our plan at OL because I think a big part of him potentially forcing his way out of Seattle would be that he sick and tired of getting beat to hell behind Seattle's shoddy OL. I doubt he'd sign off on a trade to the Panthers if he wasn't convinced that wouldn't continue here.
  17. Injuries on our OL outside of Moton could potentially result in addition by subtraction based on what I've seen from them this season.
  18. The what? You seem to be arguing against what I said when we pretty much are in agreement.
  19. Well, I hope we drafted well with Christensen and Brown and I hope the development is going well because we need upgrades sooner rather than later. I want to compete. I want to see what Darnold can develop into behind a serviceable OL, but I don't think this current group of starters can manage to become that.
  20. If they were willing to trade him I'd be very wary. ACL treatment and recovery has progressed leaps and bounds in the last 20 years or so but it's still a very serious injury that not everyone bounces back from.
  21. I'm fine with moves like this. I mean, we traded a 6th round pick from two years from now. We didn't exactly hamstring ourselves. Hell, we might end up getting that pick back or possibly even upgrading that pick via a comp pick if we let him walk in FA.
  22. This is my only real frustration about the staff this season. Moton at LT and Christensen at RT always felt like our best OT tandem. I can't help but feel like if we had rolled with that tandem at OT and Brown at RG since opening day we'd be on the cusp of fielding a decent OL at this point as everyone gelled and adjusted to the NFL.
  23. I think Gilmore is a one year rental indicating Horn is highly unlikely to return this year. Jackson was one of the first players Fitts talked up and he's played well this year. I think he's in the long-term plans.
