When you're spending the vast majority of your resources on the defensive side of the ball and you've historically built your teams around defense, it's not exactly a stretch to say that it looks like you're trying to follow the same formula. I just think it's hilarious some of you guys are getting all emotional about this like I'm knocking the guy. It's just the way he builds his programs. I'm just stating the obvious. He says Snow is the best football coach he's ever met. Hell, I'm starting to believe him on that. Giving the best football coach you've ever met the best possible tools to work with isn't exactly a bad strategy.

Snow is extremely legit and I said it last year when people were ragging on the D without being able to see the significant roster holes he was working with. But, 8 consecutive draft picks spent on the defense including two top 10 overall picks and signing last year's 3rd ranked sack artist certainly haven't hurt efforts. Rhule is clearly trying to build the Panthers the same way he build Temple and Baylor - dominant defense paired with decent offense. I know we can field a competitive team that way, but I'm not certain we can compete for titles that way. We shall see.

This too. The OL hasn't been very good overall, but they've been a lot better in pass protection (probably because we've put so much focus on getting the ball out quickly) than they have been in run blocking. It's especially obvious in short yardage situations. We can't get any push going what so ever.

Our non-CMC RBs have combined for 29 snaps (26 for Chuba) and 10 total touches (all to Chuba). We honestly don't know very much at all about them.

That and quickness. Not saying Horn isn't fast and quick, but Jackson is quicker and faster.

I always chuckle when Smitty is referred to as a "small" WR. He wasn't small, he was short. I know he was listed at 185 but I'm pretty sure that was his Combine weight and I don't think that number was ever updated during his career. I wouldn't doubt if he spent much of his career playing pretty close to the 200 mark. He really was a WR built like a RB and he ran like a RB once the ball was in his hands. We're a big unknown right now. We've played quite possibly the worst team in the league and a Saints team missing a ton of their roster and half their coaching staff. Take the wins however you can get them, but yeah I'm not surprised that the national media is a bit hesitant to jump on the bandwagon just yet. Now if we were the Cowboys... yeah, we'd be Super Bowl bound for sure. Looking like 16-0 is not just a possibility but likely. Coverage tendency varies by team.

I was about to say, honestly this game sucks. Just complete and utter absence of defense. I know this is what a lot of casual fans want but honestly I just don't find it all that enjoyable. Great offense is one thing, but this is just plain awful defense.

Can we see Moton at LT and Christensen at RT first?
