  1. It's very possible. Fast forward five years and I think any of the "big four" could end up being the best QB out of this class and hell, if Mac Jones ends up in Shanny's system as much as I don't care for him as a prospect, I don't completely rule out him being the best either.
  2. Just my opinion, but honestly Fields would be the slam dunk #1 QB in most other draft classes. This is just the best QB draft class in a loooooong time.
  3. The 4th QB picked wouldn't necessarily be the 4th QB on our draft board and the 4th QB picked in this draft class very well could be the 1st or 2nd QB drafted in a lot of other draft classes.
  4. Its lying season. It's not unheard of for teams to try to smear prospects they like leading up to the draft in a desperate effort to get them to fall.
  5. I can't believe it hasn't hit harder and sooner to be honest. You can't just keep dumping trillions of additional money into the economy with no impact.
  6. First 4 picks went: Lawrence, Wilson, Fields, Lance. I traded down rather than drafting Mac Jones. Took a flier on Davis Mills over Kellen Mond in the 3rd. Drafted Marvin Wilson in the 5th which is a pipe dream. He probably goes in the 2nd. CAR 14.Christian Darrisaw OTVirginia Tech trade icon CAR 39. Greg Newsome II CB Northwestern CAR 73. Davis Mills QB Stanford CAR 78. Brevin Jordan TE Miami (FL) trade icon CAR 113. Andre Cisco S Syracuse CAR 134. Shi Smith WR South Carolina trade icon CAR 151. Marvin Wilson DT Florida State CAR 193. Jack Anderson OG Texas Tech CAR 222. Greg Eiland OG Mississippi State CAR 226. Deommodore Lenoir CB Oregon 2022 MIN 2nd
  7. Yeah, he isn't. One lightning in a bottle play doesn't make an athlete. The odds of Darnold pulling off that run was next to zero. The odds of him replicating it again probably are zero. We get it, man. You're happy with a JAG QB and don't want to take a chance on getting better.
  8. Not gonna happen. Athletically, I think he's pretty much a slightly bigger Deshaun Watson. Josh Allen would be a decent athletic comp too IMO. Definitely a plus athlete at the QB position, but anyone expecting Cam or Vick or Lamar Jackson or Kyler Murray is gonna be sorely disappointed.
  9. It has been weird to me how so many are criticizing Fields for not being able to go past his first read when that's all I saw from Mac Jones. In the games I watched, seems like he never made it past his first read 90% of the time. Then again, when your 1st read is often the Heisman winning WR, well...
  10. It's not a Huddle thread until you offer your two cents that it wasn't worthy of your attention. I can't for the life of me figure out why you stick around.
  11. Yeah, Mahomes is totally just a guy who has proven nothing at the NFL level and KC definitely hadn't had any injuries along the OL. I mean, it was very weird, right?
  12. If it was up to me the Tinderbox would no longer exist. All I'm saying here is that this poster seems to have a very obvious agenda.
  13. Our lack of consistency during the Cam era didn't have anything to do with the QB position.
  14. This. If the QB we really want is there and we feel that other teams are knocking on the door then go fuging get our guy.
  15. I had some significant arm soreness after my first one that lasted about three days. After my second one I felt like POO for about 4-5 hours in the late afternoon/early evening (had the shot at 9am) but after that felt fine and woke up feeling like a million bucks which was sweet because I'd pretty much written off the next day as a wash.
  16. Hurney was always straight trash after the 1st. This is nothing new. He was particularly trash in the mid-rounds. Most of his good picks outside of the 1st came on late round fliers.
  17. Yeah, I really hope we don't end up with another NFL MVP... said no fuging sane person ever.
  18. There are literally zero teams who would choose quality LT > quality QB unless they've already checked the "quality QB" box.
  19. You know a debate isn't going well when you revert to stuff like this.
  20. My point is that putting up big stats on college doesn't necessarily translate to NFL success.
  21. Yep, throwing the ball away on virtually every down would've definitely been a better option. Brady would've left the field on a meat wagon if he was playing for KC.
  22. The guy was running for his life every play because KC ran out of healthy OL. If he hadn't been running for his life he would've been getting sacked.
  23. Yep. I honestly look at anything we receive in return as a pure bonus.
  24. I was also referring to Fitterer's contract, which could very well become an issue if we have success going forward and a team wants to hire him away from us. Per my understanding, we can't block him from interviewing for other GM roles if they're offering full roster control and we aren't.
