  1. Sure, he's no longer what he once was but he'll still be a very effective player for someone. We all know something about Houston too. They're currently the biggest dumpster fire in the NFL and possibly all of professional sports.
  2. The poo show continues in Houston. I expect Watt to go ring chasing. He deserves to go to a contender.
  3. Samuel and Long would be absolute steals in the 3rd and 4th. Honestly, I expect both to go in the 2nd thought there's a chance for Long to be there for our 3rd. His upside is relatively limited but he's really good at everything.
  4. Speaking of centers, I'm curious how much Humphrey being left handed might impact his stock. I honestly can't recall a left handed center right off the top of my head.
  5. I can't find much to disagree with other than Etienne, but then again he's pretty much the consensus #1 RB. I just see zero special traits and a "good" college RB who benefitted greatly from playing in an elite college offense. I think he's a JAG in the NFL but we'll see.
  6. Yeah, it's WAY too early for this stuff. Like every other draft class, there will be some promising looking rookies that flop and there will be some very good players who needed some NFL development before you see what they're going to become.
  7. Honestly, it seems like it's be way easier to sell a promising talented rookie over a trash veteran. Both to a staff/front office and fanbase.
  8. Prepare yourself for what's to come, son... All bombs. All day.
  9. I missed a call from a 704 number this morning. I'm just gonna assume it was Fitts seeing if I can still chuck that pigskin.
  10. Agreed. I think Reid deserves a TON of credit for Mahomes because he's worked wonders with every QB he's ever had, but I don't think there's many situations where Mahomes doesn't become an elite NFL QB.
  11. Why would you specifically target that team as your desired trade partners though, unless Watson has told you that's the only trade he's signing off on which I wouldn't completely rule out.
  12. Hindsight is always 2020 and it would've been nothing short of baffling at the time, but our biggest mistake knowing what we know now is drafting Christian McCaffrey instead of Patrick Mahomes and that's also true for the other 7 teams that were ahead of us in that draft.
  13. Dumb. Even if the Bengals would take Herbert in a redraft, there's ZERO chance Burrow falls to #5.
  14. Why would the Texans insist on trading him only to an in-conference opponent? Sorry, that's just not adding up.
  15. It's the new mythical "#1 WR". If he's not Jonathan Ogden/Orlando Pace level then he's not a legit LT. LOL! It's weird that this fanbase seems to be the pickiest at positions where we're historically really bad.
  16. I was very concerned about Snow but he greatly exceeded expectations. Seems some people are forgetting that virtually everyone expected us to have the worst D in the league and we we're far from that. Snow's D was basically the opposite of Teddy at QB. When the chips were down in key late game situations they came up with stops the majority of the time... then Teddy shat the bed.
  17. Lots of teams desperate for a QB this season and Heinicke looked pretty decent when he got a shot. I mean, that's peanuts for a QB. Did they probably overpay a bit? Sure. But it's a helluva lot better than that joke of a Teddy contract.
  18. They're just looking at the reality of the situation that they may not be able to significantly upgrade that position this off-season and may need a bridge QB. I sure would rather be paying Heinicke $8.75M over two years than Teddy $63M over three.
  19. It won't surprise me if he's an All-Pro in five years. On the flip side, it also won't surprise me if he's out of the league in five years. He has boom or bust written all over him.
  20. Calm down Marty. One of the reasons we got duped by Little was his 35 1/4" arms.
  21. Yep. That's why my favorite QB situations are non-traditional powerhouse P5 programs. You get to see those QBs play a few games a year against teams that are just flat out better than theirs and see how they handle it. That's one thing I think a lot of people are kinda overlooking with Lance. He plays for basically the Alabama of D1-AA.
  22. Burrow sure looked good and he was a one year wonder. You gotta just evaluate every QB individually. If you want a QB checking all those boxes, you better be sitting at #1 overall or get very lucky. You could also end up with a great college QB with limited NFL upside checking all those boxes. I'm sure plenty of Alabama and Ohio State QBs of old we're checking them right down the line. Pretty sure former UNC QB Marquis Williams would've probably checked every box but you could watch him play any game and see that he was a good college QB that wasn't going to translate to the NFL. And yes, UNC's staff was very dumb for playing Williams over Trubisky.
  23. I'd be a lot more interested in seeing how Parcell's criteria holds up on older draft classes. We have no idea how those QBs from the '19 and '20 draft classes will ultimately turn out. Guys who don't look like much currently could still turn out to be really good and guys who look really good right now could still fizzle out. But, I do see those criteria being a lot of ideal case scenarios. Are you really gonna knock a guy for not being a three year starter because he sat a year beylhind another really good QB and/or the coaching staff was too dumb to play him over another guy?
