As soon as we get a QB up to speed. Offense is ready. Defense is better than they look, but still needs a couple spots. We could get the defense spots as soon as next year, the QB might take a year or two to get up to speed but maybe we get a Stroud who comes in ready. The Texans were abysmal before getting Stroud and then in the playoffs in year one. No team ever has to be 4-5 years in today’s league.

Getting the guards was a great move because no matter who the QB is it whether he can play we needed to solidify the OL. He did that. Dionte was a GREAT trade. If we get him a QB who can throw him the ball he will be a solid #1. Not a superstar, but probably on the same level as DJ was. Better route runner and hands, less explosive and yac. We knew Brooks wasn’t going to play the first few games. He might not be impactful this whole year but who cares. If he’s as good as the pre draft stuff all said he is, we’re good at RB for a while. Chuba is solid but not a bell cow. The pass rusher situation just is what it is, can’t fix everything. He focused on improving the offense this year and did great at putting everything around a QB he should need to succeed. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work when the QB is the entire problem with the offense. and that offensive ineptitude trickles down to wearing out the defense because they have to go back out on the field so quickly every time. Morgan might end up being trash like Fitterer and the last few GMs we’ve had, but it’s too early to tell. I’m pleased with what I’ve seen so far, doing what he can to make the team ready for when we can correct Fitterer’s mistake of taking Bryce.
