I mean I can understand having some emotions about it, but anyone with half a brain and the ability to read can see they didn’t want to get rid of him. We just weren’t going to get our QB without letting him go.

Just my opinion, Bryce Young is the Reggie Bush of college QBs. Sure, he looks great in college. I’m not sure he will translate to the pros whether it’s because he’s so small he won’t last or because the pros are a different game from college. I think barring injury he’ll at least be pretty good, similar to Bush, but he las limitations. Not only is Stroud simply a better thrower of the football, he’s better at getting the ball from his hand to the receiver, but he’s also the right size and doesn’t have those same limitations. His skillsets are a direct 1:1 translation to the NFL unlike Young. Not everyone who can scramble around and play backyard football in college can do it in the NFL. Some can. But the accuracy, anticipation and touch that are Stroud’s advantage over Young are things that are always needed in the NFL and rarely seen at the level Stroud demonstrated all year in college.

Sanders is probably 6x better than Hubbard. Hubbard had a few nice runs last year but he’s still butt cheeks. The new system probably needs a RB with hands, that ain’t Chuba
-
I get that, and the usual “I didn’t get drafted til the 7th round” or whatever stuff is at least somewhat understandable. The stuff he said is just stupid and fake outrage.

Saw that on ig. Ffs they didn’t want to get rid of you, DJ. Don’t be a drama queen.

What does that even mean? He thinks he should take one or two and hope for a better deal later? Not likely to get a huge contract at 27 as a RB
-
Just over $6mil a year. Not a bargain, but not bad.
-
He’s Chuba if Chuba knew how to run and catch better. Chuba’s probably gone after this, Foreman could still stay though. They’d be complementary backs

Person with very Personal style journalism. Speculating and then having to walk it back because he was talking out of his ass. Doubt anything is decided yet with Foreman

Some viewing material. He’s shifty with good speed and great vision

Now that’s an interesting signing. Wonder what this means for Foreman. I could easily see us keeping both and cutting Chuba

Newton says we’re not signing him today but discussions are ongoing and could still happen

Panthers sign Bengals TE Hayden Hurst

My favorite slang I learned while living in Australia was “ranga” for “ginger”. Short for orangutan. -

No, I got it. I’m just saying our skill positions with the new QB will be better than those more talented guys we had with the old QBs. Not to mention the impact of coaching -

Frank Reich has NO EXCUSES… playoffs or bust in 3 seasons
JawnyBlaze replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Eh, I think we compete for the division this year, maybe win it, maybe Carr extends the Saints’ relevance a little. But we should definitely dominate the NFCS next year and be a contender for the whole NFC. At least a playoff win or two. -
Panthers showing interest in RB Jamaal Williams

Would be great to get him, but I’d rather have Thielen and/or Chark if it came down to only getting one or two of them -
Panthers to host former Vikings WR Adam Thielen
JawnyBlaze replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean A) he’s a little bitch and B) I was just using him as an example. He’s already old and broke, and even though he and Thielen are around the same age, OBJ’s game was the type that disappears quicker than someone like Thielen. Not to mention he was reportedly wanting $20mil a year, and if it’s even half that it’s too much for him. -

Yea, a reliable handed vet is exactly what we need. Better than an old and broke former big play superstar like OBJ, I’d love it if we could land Thielen (dependable) and Chark (big play potential, still young). Swap out one DJ for another heh.
