  1. I didn't have any issues watching it on prime TV.
  2. I don't think we are hurting to bad in the speed department. What we seem the be struggling with is route running and communication. The young guys just have not had enough reps in this offense yet. The vets haven't quit got their with Bryce either.
  3. Not really. There's a shortage of "deep threats" if you haven't noticed. If you want to make it deep in the playoffs your offense better be able to hit at every level on the field to keep the offense moving.
  4. Teams are going to play the safeties up until you beat them deep a few times in a game. Teams with a good pass rush are not going to give you enough time. You better be able to have something else up your sleeve on offense to compensate in the meantime. That was an easy score for the eagles. Hurts only had to throw it about 40 yards just high enough to clear the safety play up too close. Easy pitch and catch. The corner screwed up by giving the receiver a free release.
  5. Cousins finally got time to throw it. He got the safety to bite and left a one on one. Vet move, finally. He's been playing like a rookie so far.
  6. No safety help over the top. Had TMJ catch his pass you would have saw that in our last game.
  7. "ET's real" That was funny when they started talking aliens. I love these cart talks that JJ does. This one with Miles is pretty funny.
  8. It is rare. Teams are going to have to adapt their offense over time just based on the availability of the type of players coming out of college. I mean they already have to some extent over the years but it's more dramatic nowdays. Some teams cannot develop players as well as others so they are always grabbing already developed FA's. But those guys are aging out of the league and there not making them in college anymore. Defensive skills positions are more abundant and are more athletic than in the past. The truly great offensive skils players are becoming few and far between. It's more important now more than ever to have coaches that can identify and develop skill players, especially receivers, to be able to make the best of what players come out of college every year. It's getting harder to find players that fit the prototypical wr of just a few years ago. You better be able to adapt to an ever changing trend of athletes into a system that can win with ever changing rules that favor scoring.
  9. I'm going to end up pulling for Colorado if this keeps up. I never cared for Dion myself but respected his game. You make it personal, it's going to get turnt up. I hope he goes undefeated this season.
  10. I will offer this one bit of advice. Before you try to determine who will be a top qb coming out of college you should wait until they finish their last year. Year after year I hear about how great some qb is as a junior only to see them struggle their senior year season. It happens every year. Well, 2 pieces of advice. Don't draft USC qb's.
  11. What I'm saying is that you cannot focus your gameplan on nothing but deep routes. It requires a balance as the defense can easily defend deep routes with a good pass rush. Unless you have some really fast receivers the can get open deep within 2 seconds after the snap. Yac is going to be the phrase of the day for awhile just based on what colleges are turning out in the past half decade.
  12. I mean how many times a game can you say, everyone go deep? You cannot run your receivers into the ground over a 17 game season and expect them to last. Besides, there's only so many Jefferson level players available to choose from. You've got to get some guys that can do the dirty work and play the middle of the field and understand the chess board they way your qb does. That means you need a couple of smart, crisp routes, sure handed guys that can get some yac. You have a better chance at finding a few of those guys than a bunch of deep threats to send deep every play.
  13. Appears as if he's not enjoying giving that interview to me. "I'm only here so I don't get fined"
  14. I notice. I pay close attention to the dline. Derrick puts in the work. I'm not sure who it was beside Derrick on that sack but that guy was triple teamed on that play. They still managed to get two blockers on Brown but he still got home. One of the wildest plays by the defense I've seen in a long time.
  15. He might. He's fast and physical enough.
  16. Also when Burns has the same impact on the game as those guys then he can talk market value.
  17. Burns is not on the same level with those guys. That ridiculous to even say.
  18. 1 game, inwhich he missed crucial tackles that resulted in a TD. That game?
  19. I get it. You love Brian Burns. I'm not going to lose any sleep if they don't extend him. The defense is bad already and he hasn't made any impact in any games to date. Life will go on if they can't come to an agreement.
  20. At this point you put the best player in at LG regardless of who it is. It's next man up. Fasten your seat belt folks. It's going to be a bumpy ride.
  21. You don't pay players by what you hope they will be. You pay them by what they have shown to be. It's that simple Marty.
  22. I honestly think JR saved Thomas Davis career. JR loved TD which I'm sure had something to do with the team hanging onto to him when most teams would have parted ways with him after the 2nd acl injury. I'm glad he did if he was behind it.
