  1. The debates can be interesting at times, until it turns into "YEAH? WELL FU#K YOU!". Then it's just ranting for the sake of ranting.
  2. I do. But today I do not feel like seeing this place flooded with same takes all day. But carry on. I can scroll past them as I always do.
  3. I hope she's there to stop Dave from getting swayed by another Matt Rhule type con job. To lean in his earn and say "baby, this guy is full of sh*t." And this time she brings the meatballs.
  4. They are going to need 2 drafts to fill the holes on this team. Not all holes can or will be filled in the upcoming draft. If they're lucky they may get 3 filled. In FA they may get 1 more but that will depend on how many leftovers we sign to extensions.
  5. Is he the same guy the said we were absolutely getting Deshaun Watson?
  6. Here's what we do know about Wilks head coaching results. Year 1, as a first time head coach he managed to get his team to win 3 games out of 16. Did he have full support or was he just too inexperienced? Either way the results are not good, but it's where we start. Too many unknown factors to use otherwise. Year 2, his second chance at being a head coach he managed to get a team (you know the situation so I'm not rehashing it) to win half it's games. From a nonbiased perspective I would say that looks to be a trend upward. With mostly someone else's mess. So I would not say he couldn't do it if he got a real shot to build his own mess for the first time. But I would prefer he not make a mess of things. Although it would be hard to imagine it could get any worse.
  7. I doubt that. No one wants to end the season with an L. It's just how it played out. .
  8. At least I would feel as bad about them as I would another one with Rhule in control.
  9. Gotta agree with you in respects to having reservations about his chances of success. I've gone back and forth about him being the coach if I'm being completely honest. I've questioned a lot of his defenses and his approach over his time here. He's conservative, sometimes to a fault. There are a lot of things I could use to convince myself that he's not the guy. So now I look at things from a different perspective. The Tampa game was just bad. He let that game get out of hand. His hands were tied with the players he could put on the field. He was limited on a lot of things. His mistake was not preventing his exposed weakness in his defense. If he trusted others to correct it is irrelevant when the clock hit zero. Against the Saints I saw a conservative approach again but it's now most certainly necessary because... well, you just don't want to get skull drug the last game of the season. Especially looking at what you're getting ready to put out there. But what really got me questioning his approach was the last 2 drives of the game. He burned a lot of clock in each drive when there was little time left to begin with. Especially the way they've played all game. Some of it I understood and sort of agreed with because we definitely couldn't win a shoot out, but that last drive he let the clock run and didn't flinch until they had to stop it. That is not conservative, that's a gambler. He took a chance that they had enough time to get close enough to kick the field goal with no time left. So sometimes some perspective is needed in evaluating each situation.
  10. The list of available assistance caoches has just expanded for the new candidates. This is getting interesting.
  11. Saw that earlier today. It's the last attempt a failing head coach tries before he himself is fired.
  12. You are using the huddle as a reference. Never use the huddle for logical comparisons on anything.
  13. It's possible. Who knows? Anything is possible. But his name doesn't trigger me so I can be objective.
  14. Of course you can. If you know the true complete details of what went on behind the scenes and you obviously saw the on field results you can absolutely use that information to make your judgment. But short of knowing the truth I would advice you to look at it as an unknown. It's just a line on the resume that you should investigate if you are leaning one way or the other before you use it for or against him.
  15. That's why I want to see him stay. I'm ready for the meltdown. It will be glorious.
  16. Im at about 97.86666666283% he is garbage so I'm not going say complete trash.
  17. Lol, mine too. Well they are not as bad as I let on but they do need revisiting again.
  18. I could care less whether the guy has an offensive or defensive background really. I just don't want a coach that relys solely on one side of the team to win games. You have to have a strong run game and very good to great defense in the playoffs. But you must have a strong passing game to get you there. I'm not in favor of abandoning everything else about the team just to have a good passing game.
