You would be doing Willis a grave disservice to start the kid year one. He is in no way ready to play in the NFL. No amount of pixie dust is going to magically turn him into a pro ready qb in one training camp. He's a long term project that has a slim chance to work out on well coached team. He has zero chance here.

Thats pretty much going be to view of the organization to every FA out there. We all were fooled by the early success, including our first few opponents because they didn't take us seriously. Then came the infamous Dallas game. The game that exposed just how unprepared we were for the reality that this team still has a long way to go. As the season unfolded it exposed just how unprepared the coaching staff was for the NFL. I'm getting depressed.

He probably would have stayed if the staff showed any sign of knowing how to compete at this level. He wants to stay close to home badly but he's not going out on a perennial loser no matter how much they offer him. You will get not poo from me. I have no allegiance to, desire for, or objection to any particular qb in this draft. As long as they manage to unseat Sam and PJ from the roster I would be thrilled. My hope is that Rhule either turns into the next Vince Lombardi or he is finally removed from the decision making flow chart. Anything in between is as useful as fart in the wind.

You just perfectly describe the results from Hurney drafting and team building. I had hope we were beyond that with a new staff. Early results say no.

If I'm not mistaken any FA we sign would cancel that out. I would not count on any extra picks unless they trade down in this draft. With the shape this team is in they will be signing FA's, they have no choice.
