WWE wrestler takes shot at Panthers and Charlotte
MHS831 replied to philw5289's topic in Carolina Panthers
Since our public schools seem to be heading down the toilet, thank God we have things like pro wrestling, reality TV, and contemporary music to stimulate young minds. -
He had a good running game, good OL, good WRs, and a good young (developing) defense. I see your point--that is the only explanation I can provide---it really is baffling. Maybe Tepper needs to let him move into the stadium.

Try BOTH index fingers. works for me.

Welp.. Levis, Hooker or McKee come on down.

Getting really tired of Jacksonville and Detroit hogging all the first overall draft picks. They should have pro bowl rosters by now -
Each year, there are 31 losers in the NFL--that is how I see it. Winning a few games to achieve mediocrity does not make you a winner. So if you losing leads to winning, isn't losing simply a part of the process of winning? If losing gives you a franchise QB moving forward, and a franchise QB is necessary to win in the NFL--and if winning a few meaningless games causes you to miss out on that QB, are we really smart to pound our chests about being winners when we are 8-9? I think the smart thing to do is try to win while developing your young players, making winning unlikely. Look at the day TMJ had yesterday--progress. Bozeman? Progress. I am liking what I am seeing from our LBs. the RBs looked good. Yes we won, but TB was putrid.

here is how you need to look at it: Half of the first rounders bust. 2/3 of the second rounders bust. For Burns, I would need 2 first rounders (Eagles) and additional picks (Chiefs). Forget the Rams--they don't have any first round picks until 2035 or something--but the Eagles are in position to make an aggressive move The Chiefs could surrender a first in 2023 and 2024 and they also have about 11 more 2023 picks--two third rounders. I would take the third rounders in 2023 and the two first rounders. The Eagles have the Saints first rounder in 2023 and what will likely be a pick around #30. If the Panthers get the Saints pick (likely a top 10 pick) then I would consider taking both picks or the Saint's pick and a bunch of other picks.

Here is how I see it: A RBs production (on average) tends to start a downward slope around age 27. CMC has been banged up. Will he last until he is 29 at this rate? If he is relevant when we are not, he may be better off traded. I love CMC, and I hope he has a long career, but I do not see this offense (without a QB) as a year away--I see it as 2-3 years away.

There are reports today that the Rams and Niners are interested in CMC. Have they been debunked?

Damn good thread.

What is that Angry Bird over there doing? ----Robbie Anderson
-
I think they would have--getting the picks and the cap relief was great.
-
with a good QB, he could be good. How can you judge a WR here? I am happier about the cap relief more than the picks.
-
the picks are 2024 and 2025
-
Get ready, mascot: "What's that chicken doing over there?"
-
GOOD point, but the report I heard said the Panthers wanted a first rounder OR multiple other picks. The Rams have a second and a third, to the best of my knowledge. In addition, they are (at some point) going to get some comp picks.
-
It is so hard to find a college QB who is successful in the NFL. I think it is luck for the most part, then offensive roster, then talent.
-
Might be the best thread ever.
-
I predict that the Rams trade for CMC after this game-- And how did I know Robbie Anderson would become a turd? Call me psychic, psychotic, or something.
-
Seriously? Your offense has 1 fg. This is way too conservative.
-
Surtain is having a good career so far.

The guy was undrafted and cut twice--a 5'9", 225 lb. linebacker. He was very limited as an athlete, but unlimited as a player. "Keep Pounding" were his words, and anyone who thinks they are not inspiring or applicable to how we should all approach life probably will never understand what it takes to be great.

Tanking? Since when have we been good enough to do that?
