  1. Getting a franchise QB IS a rational decision. That's why Tepper has pushed hard for one the last few years. It's the most important thing in sports.
  2. Players would stop without hesitation if it was just fully guaranteed contracts NFL salary cap structure is so convoluted and a mess, NBA is so simple. It is incredibly hard to have trades with players in the NFL and it shouldn't be.
  3. I love Minshew but he would win us enough games to not have a top 3 pick. Goal is a top 3 pick. Trade CMC, trade DJ if he wants it, and start fresh next year with a new coach and the #1 overall pick. Has worked well for Arizona and Cincinnati recently and will work well for Jacksonville once they clear themselves of the terrible Urban Meyer hire stink
  4. NFL/NFLPA have to fix this constant restructuring garbage next CBA
  5. Again, we pick Willis he will be a backup next year because we'd be picking a QB next year. He isn't ready to play and if he does he's no better than PJ Walker for his rookie year, meaning we will be 1-16 or 2-15 and have the #1 overall pick. 3rd round maybe. 1st round no. Take the lineman, we need any of the top 6 lineman (offensive or defensive)
  6. He’s better than Darnold just because of his personality, Darnold is a Mary Sue that can’t lead a locker room
  7. I'm not asking you to, I probably won't either. But the hysterics are a little overboard. NFL fortunes can change very very quickly. It's happened many times this decade.
  8. I want Watson too, but I'm not going to bash Tepper for trying. We had the best deal for Stafford and likely Watson and got turned down twice, at least we aren't the Lions who don't give a poo. Tepper is still learning and made a gamble on Rhule and lost. He has the resources and drive to win unlike a lot of other owners. People just need to be patient. He'll learn
  9. I'm guessing the Saints offer is probably three 1's and two 2's, Falcons same
  10. No picks on QB's in this draft. Take one of the 3 really good offensive lineman or 3 really good defensive lineman. Go into the year with Cam and tank. 3 really good QB's at the top of next year's draft, and Carolina, Detroit, and the Jets should be the only teams that will tank.
  11. I love the impatience of the huddle, and the constant "I'm done with this team" posts when you guys know damn well as soon as we pick top 3 next year and take a franchise QB you will all be back and pretend like it never happened, just like with Cam in 2011
  12. Not a shock he wants to be as close to home as possible after this drama
  13. Willis is barely 6 foot. I'm all for taking the upside pick, but lets stop acting like this is a Cam scenario. You have to be exceptionally talented as an NFL QB at 6 foot tall, and I just don't see it, especially since if we take him, we will suck and be in line for a top 3 pick, and next year has 3 really good quarterbacks
  14. Its simple, you tank for a year then have a cleaner cap sheet, new coach and one of the top 3 quarterbacks That's why if you take Willis or whatever now, its a wasted pick becuase the top 3 quarterbacks next year are way, way, better and a much higher chance to succeed that anything you take this draft
  15. I would be ecstatic with any of Neal, Ekwonu, Hutchinson, Thibs, Walker, or Cross. Math says one of them should be there at 6. However we have a lot of holes so its a near certainty we trade down if we keep the pick to get a 2nd rounder back. They'll spin it as getting Darnold for free
  16. It's just math. Whenever the cap doesn't go up again, or New Orleans decides they can't win anymore, they will have 70-80% of their cap in dead money and will field an all UDFA/street free agent team and be absolutely horrible for probably two years and then have a clean cap. It's not that bad a move actually
  17. We don't know what is going on. The media likes to report anything sensationalist to get clicks, even if its mostly false or in Fox News case always false so it's best to not get worked up about it with statements like "threaten to walk away". If Watson does go somewhere else, we still have our 1st round picks and still have cap room, its not all doom and gloom. Once again, Tepper has done everything possible to get a NFL caliber QB here so obviously he and Fitt are going to keep trying and they'll always be opportunities, even if it takes a few years. Contrast that to the Lions who haven't given a poo in 50 years
  18. Most of you have the patience of a 2 year old, you might just want to step away from the internet, jesus christ
  19. The Texans aren't trading him to an AFC contender unless its Garrett and 4 firsts
  20. 10 bucks says your church pastor asked for a handy from a lady at a massage parlor
  21. I'm guessing 3 years 23 million based on other guard signings today
  22. Hmm, I was told "no one wanted to come here because Rhule and Tepper"?
  23. Chinn needs to be at OLB. This has nothing to do with Chinn We filled a need so we don't have to use one of our few picks in the draft on a safety
