  1. We still are very weak at NT which is vital in a 3-4. I think people should be ready for Mazi from Michigan if he's available.
  2. He talked all the time about his big mistake of not staying at Florida and competing since iron sharpens iron and taking the easy way out with a easy path to starting at Ole Miss. His chance to prove it. To me his concerns are the same as Young except Corral can't keep himself healthy like Young can.
  3. We need NT LDE WR1 OG ILB CB3 TE2 RB2 We are rock solid at QB OT OLB RDE FS SS CB1 Big Nickle C RB1 TE1 and OG when healthy. They mentioned fully converting to 3-4 next season as thats how long it takes to get all the right players in so I think they add to the NT position this spring and worry about the rest later. I also think we address WR1 next offseason unless we trade back up. In conclusion I think we trade up for a #1 WR or we sit tight and grab Mazi or the bull from Baylor.
  4. This kinda stuff is great, you only get the #1 pick hopefully once every 10 or 15 years. Lets enjoy the silly stuff while we can. Thats LA Fitness, not one on campus ... hmmm
  5. Damn you just reminded me this man got TWO players to take paycuts and stay this season.
  6. To be fair, this fanbase has never seen Burns play with a competent offense so they really don't see what other coaches/pro scouts are seeing. They all know, and mention it frequently, if Burns was on the Chiefs, Bills, or other elite teams his sack numbers would sky rocket and his liability against the run would turn into a non-factor real quick. Edit: https://www.profootballrumors.com/2023/03/panthers-will-discuss-brian-burns-extension-after-draft Brian Burns is represented by CAA Sports, the same agency that authored Watts extension. Pucker up folks.
  7. With the Watt deal 2 years behind us you can bet they are aiming for that deal.
  8. Here ya go, what you can go ahead and expect. Fitt did tip his hand and said the extension is prob coming after the draft. He is pretty accurate on what he says he intends to do and does.
  9. Yeah, if I was a neutral eval I would bet a lot on the Panthers, easy wins this season just like 2015. But being a fan I might just have rose tinted glasses and I'm just setting myself up to lose money.
  10. Mazi Smith, we need a true NT for the 3-4 to work.
  11. Na, we have two injured starters at OG, we need an OG more than OT.
  12. How the fug is Jay Cutler a fuging bust? My guy not only got traded for two first years after he was drafted, but was the only reason the Bears were relavant for years until he wasn't relevant anymore. Its like calling Cam a bust because his body broke down in 2018.
  13. I tried to educate them but so many of them wanted to keep thinking our cap situation was the same as balancing their mcdonalds wages checkbook. Can lead a horse to water...
  14. Yeah, I don't even wanna risk trading down with Houston now and losing out on Stroud. Bryce has 10 years in him max. I could see Stroud going strong for 15 - 20 years.
  15. Yeah i can see tep bailing on Levis and Richardson but he will already be down there for the owners meeting so what do i know
  16. He is the pick but we gotta trick houston dammit lol I imagine that tricking would involve writting Bryce Young on the card before trading it to Houston too lol
  17. Its a new dawn, a new day. https://counter-strike.net/cs2
  18. Ain't no way in hell he coming back here: https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2016/10/13/panthers-cut-wr-damiere-byrd/
  19. More importantly he revealed he had Russell Wilson ranked high in his QB evals before the draft that year.
  20. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/03/20/fmia-nfl-free-agency-bears-panthers/ For clarity it would have been the #2 this year and their #1 next year.
  21. We have $23.5M in cap space with another $4M to $5M we could create via Brian Burns extension but that's the max we could create. They like to take ~$10M into the season for in-season signings. and $6.7M as you pointed out for Rooks. That means we have [$23.5M - $10M - $6.7M = $6.8M] available right now for this FA period which is more than enough to get some depth at D-line/LB/CB and one more WR and if we need more we can make that $12M in space with a Brian Burns extensions.
