I don't think there's a WR1 available currently....maybe...maybe Jerry Jeudy. I think he can be had for our #39. I'm kicking tires on Elijah Moore with the Jets and also Sutton in Denver for less than Jeudy would cost.

Dalton, Minshew, Mariota or Rush for FAs...cheaper QBs that can easily be relegated to the clipboard later in the year. Would a 6th/7th get Foles from Indy? $3.5M in '23 and a FA after the season. We need to spend our money on other areas if we're drafting a QB that should start at some point this year. Jacoby & Wentz will cost more, which is less $$ for WR/TE/RB.

I do hope he’s back. I think Duce and Brown LOVE a RB like Foreman….especially with a rookie under center. I think we have all the leverage and will make a wise, value-based decision. If we don’t bring him back, I would like Mattison here. Young, balanced and hungry to prove he is a starter after living in Cool’s shadow. We will be a RBBC anyway and could take a day 3 flyer too.

Here me out. IF the Panthers think they can get "there QB1" at 2 and can swap spots with HOU, while gaining the Texans' #33 overall.....I'd send #39 to DEN for Jerry Jeudy. Give our new young QB1 a 23-year old former FRP that is an immaculate route runner with deceptive speed. We would move up 6 spots in the draft to take whomever we want. Maybe Darnell Washigton or Michael Mayer are there.....maybe a stud NT or a complimentary WR like Downs/Flowers/Hyatt/Tillman. We could reallocate the money we were going to spend on a FA WR and shift it to someone like Schultz or Geisicki. Re-sign Foreman CJ7 Foreman Jeudy-Downs-TMJ-Shenault Schultz-Tremble Ickey-BC-Boze-Corbett-Moton The defense is, IMO, a couple of DL and depth CBs away from being complete. I think Evero and Capers will help bring Brandon Smith along and eventually replace Shaq inside in 2024. Chinn pulls a TD and converts to LB fully, and we find a third CB. Woods-Bell will be solid for the next two years as well holding up the backend. Our cap opens up immensely in '24 as well.

Done. He's still young enough and could be in one of those situations where he just needs the burn in a system that understands his strengths/weaknesses. I think Brown can do that with his background with TEs.

I'm hoping the Boze $$ numbers thrown out are negotiations. They ask for $16M, we offer $11M....settle for $13.5-$14M. Done. Our cap opens up next year anyway. Gotta keep the OL intact and Elflien ain't it with a rookie QB and a rebuilding WR/TE corps.

Burns-Shaq-Luvu-Chinn Brown-Khalen Saunders-YGM I think Brandon Smith, as LG mentioned is going to thrive in Evero's defense. He's still a year away from major contributions....just in time for Shaq's contract to expire in '24 and take over next to Luvu. I do like Okereke, but think we reallocate that money on WR/TE.

Well, he'll get an additional bit of coin too when CJ comes in and asks for #7. Win-win-win all around.

Let's rip this band-aid off. Let the dead cap fall off after this year and have a clean sheet in '24. No need to hold onto an older vet LB that doesn't fit and is costly. Also opens up $11M in cap space this year. That's your Bozeman money right there.

I'd trade with HOU and ask for 33. We can send back a day 3 pick to balance out the value. 33: Best TE on the board 39: Tillman/Perry/Flowers/Downs Sign Boze and D'Onta & Hardman. No way they are giving us 12 or a future FRP for one slot.

I think we can patchwork our WR corps sans a true X WR this coming year. Hardman turns 25 on March 12th, so he's uber young and electric. Don't think he's a WR1, but can certainly be that TY Hilton....maybe a less productive Tyreek Hill as our #2. His help on special teams will be huge too. Let TMJ be our slot WR3. Young and hungry guys.

Boze Foreman Hardman Moreau Draft Tillman or AT Perry for that big WR

In the draft, Tillman, AT Perry look like good outside WRs. Downs would be a solid get too. In FA, we've been linked to Hardman and Campbell. Chark is out there, as well as Jourdan Rodrique mentioning Van Jefferson as a potential trade target. Van has ties to both Brown and WR coach Jefferson. I'd also bring in a TE like Moreau and draft the BPA TE at 39. I'm not freaking out this year because I think the plan is clear now to let '23 be the "reset" year. New coaches, rookie QB and dead cap to fall off. Clean up the mistakes in '23 and walk into '24 with a clean sheet. No need plunking down cash on older vets like Nuke and OBJ at their respective ages. Hardman is 24 years old.....Campbell is 25.....Jefferson is 26. Focus on 2024. We will have a boatload of cash available to be key players in FA. Draft smart this year and don't weigh ourselves down.

This is intriguing....surely speculation, but what if. Get a little bit back from HOU to make sure they get "there guy" while we still get ours. No guarantee that HOU doesn't just take who they want, but if they REALLY want Young and we bluff it enough, they could take the bait.

Loved the trade for the Jets last year, but don't know why he didn't get more burn. He wouldn't be my top choice, but wouldn't be disappointed if we ended up with him. Pair him with a bigger back like Charbonet or Roschon Johnson in the draft and we could be cooking with fire.

Agreed. I don't advocate for giving up this kind of haul, but we won't be in this situation sitting in the top-10 for awhile. We've hit the reset button on 90% of the coaching staff, philosophy, style and scheme. Why not push our chips forward, go all-in and get Stroud/Young. Couldn't blame a new coaching staff that has no QB for doing this. We would have to give up more assets next year to move into the Williams/Maye/Penix conversation next year. Rip off the band-aid this year.

Unsure what his $$ expectations and if his football IQ is enough for Reich/Brown/Special Ops guy, but he might be available this coming week. I'm guessing too rich for our blood, he wouldn't fit a Reich-style QB and probably looking to be a long-term starter somewhere.

Any idea what Foster Moreau will get on the FA market? Josh Norris intrigued me with his thoughts on him and spent the last hour checking him out. 26 years old, put up 5 TDs his rookie year and was behind Waller in Vegas. I wonder if he can be a TE1 here in Reich's system. Seems like a balanced TE that can block as well as be a threat as a receiver. Can he be had on a reasonable deal and let others spend big on Schultz and Geisicki.

I went down a Wentz rabbit hole when looking to see if he is similar to Levis. Found a great Peter King conversation that said after watching Foles win the ring that he set them up for, it really got under Wentz' skin. Wentz got them to 11-2 in his second year....with Reich as OC and Staley as RB coach. King went on to say that Wentz couldn't shake the Foles optics and began his mental breakdown. That along with the injuries, and he was never the same. So much of it is between the ears. Wentz was well on his way to being a perennial MVP candidate and leading his team to the postseason. How quickly things can shift.

Given the age and hopeful addition of a young TE, I'd prefer Campbell or Slayton. I know we're also rumored for Hardman which I don't get other than ST. He'd be a WR3 here and seems to replicate a lot of what Laviska is good at.

When I watch this clip of Wentz being drafted, it reminds me of the highlights of what makes Levis good. Almost verbatim for the out route throws and arm strength lighting up the field. Does anyone also know why Levis transferred from Penn St to Kentucky? Was it that he couldn't beat out the previous QB1 or did he prefer to play in the SEC? I just feel that Penn St. would give you more exposure and props than UK would.
