  1. I am fairly certain that was an attempt at sarcasm or humor. Or both.
  2. I would have felt the same way had Wake lost to UNC. It would have been, we beat Michigan but lost to those bums?
  3. Agreed, but the one thing I will say about Mahomes is that he depends much more on his mobility than Brady did. Which might make it difficult for him to be as good as long as Brady was. And I do wonder how much longer Andy Reid will continue to coach.
  4. I believe he was the best. Not because of arm talent, although it wasn't bad. And not because of his ability to run, because he couldn't. But because he was cool as ice, and when the game was on the line, there was no one better in NFL history.
  5. Actually, for now, they are better off without a conference. They are one of the wealthiest schools already, they got 20 million for the playoffs, and they don't have to share.
  6. Well, Notre Dame gave them a tougher game than anyone else did in the playoffs.
  7. IMO, there are really only about 2-4 elite qb's in the NFL right now. Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, and maybe Jackson. And a few others that could become elite. Getting an elite qb is one of the hardest things to do in the NFL.
  8. Anything is possible, but I have my doubts Sanders will be here next year. We will replace him with someone, a draft pick or another free agent signing.
  9. Lots of better qb's have never lead a team to multiple Superbowls. And imo, the only year we had truly elite talent on the offensive side was 2003/04. Proehl, Moose, Smith, Davis, Foster, and a Roided up offensive line. The next few seasons, we drafted Williams, but didn't have anywhere near the talent level of 03. 08 saw us with some decent offensive talent when we added Stewart and brought Moose back, but by then Delhomme's arm was shot. In some ways, I think our 2005 run to the NFC championship game was amazing given that we had so little talent outside of Smith, on offense.
  10. I think you are right, but I have seen crazier stuff in the NFL.
  11. Tepper may be a bad owner, although I think that is sometimes overblown, especially when it comes to his interfering in football decisions. Fwiw, I think Teppers biggest problem is making bad hiring decisions. Fitterer and Rhule were awful. But he isn't in the same universe as Dan Snyder. Also, the Commanders (almost typed Skins), lucked into Daniels. They have crapped out so many times in the qb lottery so many times, that they were bound to get it right once (assuming Daniels isn't a 1 year wonder).
  12. No it won't. It didn't yesterday. It came down to allowing nine sacks and the worst kicking performance I have ever seen in a playoff game.
  13. Chance to cement your legacy as a GM by building a team around a great young qb, or go to a team that doesn't appear to have much of a shot of getting a qb this year. I know what my choice would be.
  14. The Bill could certainly win. They have a better chance than any other AFC team of beating the Chiefs. But the Chiefs defense is dominant, and they are playing in KC.
  15. IMO, there should be two MVP awards, one for qb, and one for other players.
  16. Probably showing my age here, but that reminds me of a Cowboys Steelers SB, when a Cowboy tight end (Jackie Smith) dropped a td in the end zone that would have tied the game. Cowboys ended up losing.
  17. Well, that is ball game. Good hands on a slick field.
  18. Dropped pass. If the Ravens don't win this one, he will remember that drop for a long long time.
  19. That is the definition of excellent route running, especially on a slick field.
  20. I think the issue was less with Allen having it, and more with having him run it up the middle with limited blockers in front.
  21. Yeah, but the Ravens have only lost to the Chiefs once. The other years, they lost to Cincy, Tn, Buffalo, and the Chargers.
  22. Got to kick the fg here. Going up by 8 is huge.
  23. If Chiefs and Eagles are in the Superbowl, could be the lowest scoring SB since the Rams/Patriots 13-3 masterpiece.
