The defense wasn't good. We all knew that. But without the offense turning it over so much, they likely win regardless
-
Well, that is new. A toss to the running back, who then does a shovel pass to the receiver. That is pretty neat.
-
Well, 31-21. Won't be shocked if Detroit scores now.
-
Darnold and company couldn't make Detroit pay for its beat up defense, but I guess Daniels and Washington can.
-
Geez, already the highest scoring game in the playoffs, and its not even halftime yet.
-
Yeah, but they do have an offense that can get them out of said hole.
-
Wow. That was a bad throw.
-
You are of course right, (and as a Wake fan who was at that game, I hated that). I just hope they address it in the rules in the offseason.
-
I have to admit I have always liked Terry Mclaurin. I feel that he has been over the last few years, one of the most underrated receivers in the NFL. All the needed was the right qb.
-
Fwiw, I felt the Texans were doomed after the kickoff when their own player shoved their assistant coach on the sideline after a ludicrous play.
-
This game seems like it will be very interesting. For all the talk about the Bills and Ravens, I think the NFC champ has the best shot at beating KC. Mainly because the game won't be in KC.
-
Well, I won't say that the refs never have an impact. But I think it is greatly overblown. But mostly, they win because they are very good and very well coached. That being said, I do think with star players like Brady, Mahomes, Montana etc..., there is a tendency to favor them, albeit subconciously. I do remember many years ago when Tim Duncan played for Wake, Coach K was asked if Duncan got the calls from the Refs. K said, yeap, and he deserves them. While I don't necessarily agree that a star deserves the calls, I do think there is a unconscious tendency towards favoritism. Just human nature I suppose.

The Commanders causing a turnover and taking the lead.

Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.
-
And he will be canned in 3 years unless he can get a decent qb.
-
Have to agree to disagree. Not to mention we curb stomped them on their own homefield.
-
I disagree, because we MIGHT have a qb. They have relatively little chance of getting one. But I suppose we will find out.
-
I wonder if sometimes coaches get so caught up in the moment, they lose track of what they should be doing. Or maybe its the mantra of putting the game in the hands of their star qb's.

Its one of the reasons I don't believe it. The other is that conspiracies are mostly gibberish anyway. The Superbowl, the playoffs dominate the ratings. They dominate if the Chiefs are there, if the Panthers are there, or if the Dolphins are there. They don't really care who gets there. Dynasties are part of professional sports and always have been. Whether its the 1920's Yankees, the Celtics in the 60's, some Hockey team I don't care about etc...

As of right now, I think we are in better shape than the Raiders. That could change of course, but Bryce has played well the last 8 games or so, now we just need to tweek a couple of spots on offense, and fix the defense.
-
I think all this conspiracy stuff is just so much bull. No one will ever convince me that the NFL helps any franchise when the two most popular franchises haven't seen a SB in 15 years. In fact, I don't think the Steelers or Cowboys have made a championship game in that amount of time, but I am not sure about that.

He wasn't terrible, but it was a combination of bad oline play, and him holding on to the ball to long. I thought they should have run the ball a little more. Mixon had a good game, and a few more runs might have slowed the pass rush down a little bit. About half the sacks came in the last 15-18 minutes. KC turned up the defensive heat and the Texans had no answer.
-
If the refs hadn't called the penalties, the Texans would have had more opportunities. More opportunities to allow sacks and miss field goals.
-
Texan fans can complain about the refs all they want. 8 sacks, two missed fg's and one missed xp are the story of this game.
-
And for all the bad kicks.
