  1. But it should have been expected. He could have retired after Brady left and his legacy would be secure. But he just couldn't do it. And coaching college is a world of difference than coaching in the NFL. That being said, he could still turn it around. But I doubt having him will ever get UNC to the heights they expected when they signed him.
  2. Agreed, he played fairly well. On that last series, his offensive line didn't do very well.
  3. Miami got to conservative there. Now Notre Dame has plenty of time to get in range for a tying fg.
  4. Especially when that athlete is a undrafted free agent. A Star might get some slack, a undrafted free agent probably won't.
  5. Clemsons defense played well. But the offense was MIA in the second half.
  6. Klubnik is a veteran qb, now is when he has to earn his money.
  7. I am not even talking about his time with the Panthers. He did ok in his time as a backup with Washington. I think you vastly overestimate how good other backup's are in the NFL.
  8. Time to bench the starting Duck and put in the heralded freshman duck.
  9. That might cinch the game for FSU, with Alabama only having one timeout left.
  10. How can that be. He looked fantastic last year against Southwest Texas State hair care and tire changing college. But seriously, it is to early. I don't understand the people who want to anoint him as the best when has barely played. If he had a different last name, most of us would barely know who he is.
  11. The handful that do make it are usually there because they were relatively obscure in college, decent talent on a subpar team. Jake Delhomme spent a year on the practice squad.
  12. To be honest, most qb's on the practice squad just aren't good enough to become dependable NFL backs. A few might be, but they are relatively rare.
  13. Even Jerry Jones isn't dumb enough to trade him to a division rival.
  14. At least Dallas got some great picks for Parsons. We got nothing for Norman.
  15. It is, but if they want to compete for a national championship, they have to schedule games like this. It worked for them a couple of years ago when they scheduled LSU to start the season. Well, it worked until their qb got knocked out.
  16. Well, as far as backups go, Kyle Allen is actually a decent one. Better at this point than Dalton probably. That being said, Hooker apparently had an atrocious game against the Texans.
  17. I believe that you can't compete without a good qb. But the Packers have a good qb. But if you have a good qb, then to go to and win superbowls, you have to have some great players in other positions. So yeah, he could put the Packers over the top. But with what they gave up, they better get over the top very soon.
  18. Agreed, although I do think some will go to Coker, at least at first. Hopefully, they can work Sanders in as well. One of the the things I liked about the last few games of last season is that I thought that Young and the offense did a pretty good job of spreading the ball amongst the receivers. Against Atlanta for example, there was no true number one target. We had 7 guys with 3 or more catches, and that is when an offense works best imo.
  19. I thought he started to develop good chemistry with Coker over the last half of the season.
  20. In fairness, AT missed several games last season. And so did Bryce. One would have to look specifically at games both of them played in to be accurate. Just looking at the last two games, XL had 14 targets, Thielen 12 and Coker 9, so at least for the last two games, your assessment appears to be correct.
  21. I have read here numerous times that CMC didn't want to be traded, at least not at first. All the conflicting information that he wanted to go, or that he was made when they traded him is why I usually ignore most of that stuff.
