  1. I'll take nine to ten years of good QB play and worry about trying to find the next one once he says he's thinking of hanging it up.
  2. And a coaching staff that basically gave Mahomes a full year to get acclimated. He didn't start until Week 17.
  3. I'd keep an eye on LA (Chargers). I know they just won so everything is all sunshine and rainbows, but he's not getting the most out of his talent, and even in a win last week, he made a questionable call.
  4. If Dorsey is the choice for head coach, he's worked with two QBs in his career: Cam Newton, and Josh Allen. It wouldn't surprise me for him to want someone like that. Is that Levis? Richardson? I'm not sure.
  5. Kupp was hurt, too. I haven't heard if he practiced today.
  6. Chicago needs some decent receivers.
  7. Especially since he admitted in an interview during the pre-season that he was initially against drafting Wilson. Schneider had to talk him into it.
  8. I've said elsewhere it feels like we're headed towards a Bills hire Rex Ryan move.
  9. The thing that sticks out to me about Burrow that is concerning is that he has built his college resume with elite talent around him. His recievers last year were Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase, that is insane.
  10. For 167 yards... with 1 INT, and 0 TDS.
  11. Last time I flew in there, the plane had to take a steep decent angle because of a local ordinance.
  12. Sorry, ripp, I didn't mean to quote you. This isn't accurate. This is Mike Lafluer's second season as a coordinator. LaFleur followed Robert Saleh from the 49ers to become the Jets' offensive coordinator in 2021.
  13. 1st round QBs since 2006. The number indicates what pick they were. 2022: 20 Picket 2021: 1 Trevor, 2 Wilson, 3 Lance, 11 Fields, 15 Jones 2020: 1 Burrow, 5 Tua, 6 Herbert, 26 Love 2019: 1 Kyler, 6 D Jones, 15 Haskins 2018: 1 Baker, 3 Darnold, 7 Allen, 10 Rosen, 32 Lamar 2017: 2 Trubisky, 10 Mahomes, 12 Watson 2016: 1 Goff, 2 Wentz, 26 Lynch 2015: 1 Jameis, 2 Mariota, 2014: 3 Bortles, 22 Manziel, 32 Bridgewater 2013: 16 EJ Manuel 2012: 1 Luck, 2 RGIII, 8 Tannehill, 22 Weeden 2011: 1 Cam, 8 Locker, 10 Gabbert, 12 Ponder 2010: 1 Bradford, 25 The Golden Calf of Bristol 2009: 1 Stafford, 5 Mark Sanchez, 17 Josh Freeman, 2008: 1 Ryan, 18 Flacco 2007: 1 JaMarcus, 22 Quinn 2006: 3 Young, 10 Leinart, 11 Cutler The #1 overall picks are kind of a mixed bag (JaMarcus, Ryan, Stafford, Bradford, Cam, Luck, Jameis, Goff, Baker, Kyler, Burrow, Trevor) Hit rate for all 1st round QBs isn't great, but once you get out of the first round, the hit rate is downright abysmal.
  14. Thought this was interesting: "Carolina's offensive line has had all five starters play every snap through Week 5, the only NFL team to do that in 2022."
  15. No obvious connections I could find for either Hackett/Payton or McDaniel/Grier.
  16. Situations from this past offseason: Two teams retained their GMs and hired new coaches (Denver, and Miami) Three teams brought in a new GM, and that GM hired a new coach (Minnesota, Chicago, New York Giants)
  17. To even get to 9-8, we'd need to go 8-4 over the last twelve. We're looking at playing Rams, Bucs, Bengals, and Ravens [over the next six weeks] with our 3rd string QB. We're out of playoff contention.
  18. Case in point: We're 1-4 this year with Jaycee Horn playing as one of the best corners in football.
  19. Unfortunately, this probably depends on who the new coach is, and we won't know that by 11/1. Ultimately, I think Fitts fate also might rest upon the new hire. I don't think we're getting Payton, but if we did, and he didn't want to work with Fitts, I think Fitts would be done.
  20. Thank you for putting that together. Just remember that Hackett ignored his more experienced connections to give a bunch of young guys a chance. Quinn might as well.
