  1. Florio talks about a scenario being discussed by "people who can actually act on it" which I take to mean people in the league office. Week 18 goes on as normal. The following week is NFC Wild Card games plus Bills/Bengals. The week after that you get the AFC Wild Card games. The NFC teams list alive would have a bye. The week after that everyone plays their divisional round and we go to Conference championships, and then the Super Bowl with no week in between. Again, not saying that's what will happen, but what Florio says is being discussed. This could have a big impact for us if we wanted to interview a coach on an NFC team still in it like the OC from the Eagles, or the DC from San Francisco, as the NFC bye week provides a window to interview that wouldn't have been there. There are no perfect solutions. The NFL will have to choose the least bad choice they have. Here's the video: https://youtu.be/RMtZH3Xgz84
  2. The University of South Carolina was founded February 2, 1801. California didn't become a state until September 9, 1850. We were a college before California was a state. Factual and true.
  3. Real USC is in Columbia. We were a college before California was a state.
  4. I'm only going to look at three plays, the three most impactful plays Sunday, Evans three bombs catches. If you'd like to check my conclusions, I'll include the video link for you. Note this is the TV feed and not the All 22, so I'm limited to what they show. TD #1 (starts at 0:09) - Burns gets chipped by the TE and doesn't even engage the LT before the ball is in the air. He actually gets engaged with a LG. TD#2 (starts at 1:00) - Burns loops inside (might have been a T-E stunt) and gets stonewalled by the LG. TD#3 (starts at 1:33) - Burns starts to rush and then drops into a short zone. link: https://www.buccaneers.com/video/mike-evans-best-catches-bucs-panthers-week-17-3-tds The video includes two other catches by Evans, but I only looked at the bombs.
  5. Some guys just have it. Guys like Mike Tomlin. I thought for sure this season would be Tomlin's first losing season, but he's got a legit shot at going 9-8.
  6. We've probably reached out to several people in the back channel ways that always happen this time of year.
  7. I don't see how they can. Bills are scheduled to play the Patriots, and the Bengals to play the Ravens at 1pm on Sunday. Asking them to play Wednesday and then turn around to play again on Sunday seems like a really bad idea. [edit: I guess they could reschedule the Sunday games to Monday, but all four teams are likely to make the playoffs and have the games the following week.]
  8. Or just don't count the game. Leave Buffalo and Cincinnati with 16 games. Cincinnati and Buffalo could possibly see each other again in the playoffs.
  9. The control angle is going to be important. After what happened in SF, I can't see Harbaugh taking a job where he doesn't get full control. Fitterer might be okay with it. Not sure if Tepper will be.
  10. I would look at the Jets under Saleh. Saleh came from that same SF DC position. He hired a Shanahan disciple to run the O (who, admittedly I had been high on earlier in the season). They drafted a rookie QB. But once Brece Hall and Vera-Tucker went down, they can't do anything on offense. They were just eliminated just like us. They have a good D, but their O has struggled and the rookie is looking like a bust.
  11. I know it got lost in the Lions win, but this is the second week in a row a single opposing offensive player has scored three TDs. Obviously Evans this week, but Lion's TE Shane Zylstra scored three TDs last week. To me, it points to a lack of adjustments from Wilks and his defensive staff multiple weeks in a row.
  12. The refs had multiple opportunities throughout the game to really turn the tide in Tampa's favor, such as DB's borderline late hit on TB12. They didn't flag it. The refs were the least of our problems.
  13. That was a misclick. I apologize. I had intended to use pie. I fixed it now, thanks for letting me know. I was surprised because I don't use that poo emoji and I didn't see it in my activity. I guess I didn't go back far enough.
  14. He's not there to watch the Steelers, he's there to give Lamar a blank check.
  15. It's hard sometimes for coaches with teams that make a deep run to get jobs. Teams don't want to until after the Super Bowl. It's harder for the new guy to build his staff. Eagles could go deep so that would put Shane Steichen at a disadvantage.
  16. I really wish Corral was healthy. This would be the perfect game for him to start.
  17. I'm not sure what more you need to see after the Peach Bowl. Stroud looks like the real deal.
  18. Brady had all day to throw on those bombs. Why? Because we didn't get any pressure on him.
  19. I tend to think of 4.4 (Devin White ran a 4.42) but that's really close to 4.5.
  20. OVERALL RANK: #178 POSITION RANK: #16 (LB) 40 TIME: 4.50 SECONDS HEIGHT: 6-1 WEIGHT: 230 ---------------------- 178 is the fifth round. Another good game in the Championship game (if TCU hangs on) could increase his stock. Needs to improve that 40 time.
