Wilks was out of work, the Panthers gave him a job and even promoted him after 5 weeks. Because of this he may be considered by other teams in the future considering he did an decent job. The team wanted offense minded people and moved on. If the Panthers hadn't hired him, where would he be? Illinois? Out of the NFL? He should be grateful for the job he was given in the first place.

Hope he helps SF beat Philly so we can get the Eagles QB coach as our OC

If picks are given up for Payton, I hope they are picks from this years draft and not next years. Everything I have read is that next years draft will be loaded due to a lot of underclassmen talent staying in school this year for NIL money. If only there was a free agent QB that we could sign this year to be a bridge QB til next year...

Although not a fan of hiring Kafka, one game does not make anyone a good/bad hire for HC, Steichen included. This time last year a lot of fans wanted Byron Leftwich as HC, now no one would consider him. With young coordinators, it's going to be hit or miss whether they have the leadership and motivational abilities to do the job, just not play calling or scheme.

Giving the Saints 2 first round picks for Payton is potentially giving them CJ Stroud and Marvin Harrison Jr.

The most "Panthers" thing ever would be too give the #9 pick to the Saints for Payton and then have Stroud fall to them in the draft.
