Mid round pick for OL. And I've thought for whoever the QB is we should be looking to add to it every draft now that we've got it kind of set. Target a round 3-5 to add beef to it.

The thing is, if they think AR is the best choice abd they are confident they can make him into the stud he could be . .then I'm all on board. I've said that consistently for many weeks....I'd be excited about Young, Stroud, or AR. So if they call Richardson, I'm going to get my giddy going. Don't doubt that. I've just heard way too much from places I've trusted before that tell me Young is at the top of their list Could that change between now and when the card is turned in? Sure, but I doubt it's going to happen. -

You aren't answering the question. C'mon I'm trying to help you out. Sit down, breathe, and answer the question. What name do you expect to hear called. Not what do you want to have called. Not what name should they call, but what name will they call? -

Answer the question. Who do you think they are going to take? -

Do you seriously think that panthers are going to take AR? I'm not asking who you want them to take. I'm asking who do you think they are going to take? -
PETER KING: Bryce Young will be the pick
rayzor replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, there's always the chance that the team does something crazy right before the draft and switches at the last minute. Nothing is certain until the card is turned in. As confident as I am that it will be Young, there's going to be this little speck of anxiety over " will they change their mind at the mast minute?" -
I have a feeling that's going to happen, not that it should. Levis is a perfect drunk Irsay pick. They talked him out of the coach he wanted. I don't think he lets them talk him out of the QB he wants.

I don't think he wants a QB using his brain. He wants them to bulldoze everything. MOAR POWER!!!!

Lol you're just making this harder on yourself. Start coping, man

Agreed. He was a once in a lifetime superhero. We don't need that now. We just need a good QB and we're getting one. -

That's where I was for a long time. This is where I'm at now... -
Lol @rippadonn is going to have to learn some serious coping mechanisms to last through the next few seasons. Have you started accepting that Young is the pick yet?

Easily a top 5 Cam moment. What I love about Young is that he will be doing stuff like this regularly. He won't make a show of it the way Cam did (and in the way only Cam could), but he's going to be able to decifer what the defense is thinking abd use it against them. -
At this point the AR thing isn't going to happen. Most likely before the trade. I still think they love the potential and there's a lot to be excited about...in fact he may be the reason they put all that work into building the offensive staff they did, but it was still going to take a lot of work and time to get him there and Young just flat out required less work. Young is going to give them about a 2 year head start on being a legit threat in the league.

Yes, they were officially "keeping their options open" but they knew after the proday tour. They've known before that. Maybe not officially, but it's really only ever been Young since they moved to the 1, but even before then it was only 2 they were really interested in. I think the way it's looking, Stroud may not have the market many of us "including myself" thought he had. Lots to like, but for whatever reasons teams are having a hard time choosing him also their franchise guy. Could be a boas against QBs from OSU, the S2 scores, the reports of him being not the ideal leader type personality you'd want (too focused on self. "I've got to prove myself?", "how is this going to make me look?", etc), thought he looked better than he actually is because of his situation....these are all things I e heard brought up so it could be any or all of them. Like I've said, I still think he'll be good and part of me hopes he goes to the falcons just to make things interesting for the next decade, but Young's whole package, they feel, way more than makes up for his size issues. He's like having an OC on the field with eyes in the sky while the play is going on. Between snaps he's like Kuechly in the ability to diagnose what the other team is going to do, and he's like Brees in the preparation for games. Worry about his size if you want, but that's just one of those things you're going to just have to deal with and get over if you want to enjoy being a panthers fan for the next decade.

I think at this point you're just screaming into the wind hoping that something makes sense

Someone is stuck in the past. Let it go

Did I say that? I do think we'll see from Young early on what we saw in college, though. And we'll be glad it was the pick. I could see 300+ yards and 3-4 passing TDs per game starting out. The guy is going to be special. Not Cam 2.0, but he doesn't need to be.

It didn't take long at all to know if Cam was the right pick. It won't take Young long either.
