  1. I have no doubt that Evero was asked "of any defensive player left, or any edge left, which would you want?" With Caper's input, I'm sure, Evero said DJ Johnson. I trust these guy more than any other staff we've had, and I trust them a lot more than any collection of draftniks out there.
  2. Us with Bryce is a lot scarier team for the NFCS than ATL with Bijan. I said it before, they should have drafted Jalen Carter. That would have been more worrisome.
  3. It appears it is, but he deleted it. The problem is you can try to delete something on social media but once you say it, it's there forever.
  4. Ok I can't be the only one who instantly thought of the Arby's guy when I saw and heard Patrick.
  5. Agreed we were better off focusing on offense. Honestly we probably should have oe offense with the 3rd. Might have had better value there. Because of the run on pass rushers, they'll be more vet FAs to hit the market. Just load up on vets.
  6. Love it. The guy is a brawler. The team absolutely loved him and there's no way he would have lasted till later.
  7. Like I said in another thread, if anything our pick at #1 should have influenced their pick. Young can do a while lot more damage to their defense than Bijan could ever do to ours. The smart move and better pick would have been Jalen Carter.
  8. Not everything that can be mixed together should be
  9. They should be more worried about our first round pick and if they were smart they would have taken Jalen Carter.
  10. Such a good young man. Great answers, especially those last two.
  11. trading back might just make the most sense. there's going to be a whole lot of solid talent available the rest of the day and anyone we get at 39 won't be much better than who we are capable of getting later on. just not enough separation between the talent. there's just a lot of good players out there to be had, imo.
  12. i feel the same way about all of them. Carr is an ok QB. he's solid. but he'll never be feared. falcons are going to have to play catchup once they realize that ridder won't get them anywhere. the bucs lucked out and had brady, which is the only way in which they have managed to be at all relevant in 20 years. they won't get another brady. i feel that we are going to own the NFCS for at least a couple years.
  13. they win the first round anyways. there's still a lot more to go, but its going to be hard to top what they did in topping off that defense.
  14. true. but he'll be walking into a situation where these guys are also going to be looking for another contract soon. small consolation, but i'm not a believer in ridder except that i don't mind him being the falcons QB for a while. i do feel like, though, if Young takes off like it's believed he will, i won't be worried by any other teams in the NFCS.
  15. most likely edge or CB. i think the better value of the two right now is at CB, but they'll probably be wanting edge more.
  16. that's what Cam was saying. the moment that he walks into the locker room, class room, practice field, game field, or huddle, you'll know that he's the leader. he's got that 'it' leadership factor. you know he'll give it everything he's got and that he'll go beyond what is expected of him in every situation and you'll want to do the same.
  17. there were several directions the falcons could have gone that i was kind of worried about that would have made them much better. i was more worried that they'd start building up the defense more. jalen carter sitting there had me really nervous. they take bijan and i'm kind of...hmmm....he's good, but 1) i trust our defense to be able to contain him and 2) while they have added a little help to the dfense, obviously it's still not the priority it should be. i don't like them drafting bijan, but they could have gotten a few players who would have hurt us more.
  18. they did to get their guy. they knew Young is the one and they did what it took to get him.
  19. my bias is showing, but we got the difference maker we've been needing since Cam was torpedoed by Watt. we win there. but aside from that, the texans and eagles...fantastic moves for both of them. i mentioned a couple times that i thought the texans would try and trade #12 to move up and get their QB after drafting their stud D guy, but trading back up to #3 and having back to back picks really blew me away. happy that it was stroud because i like him. eagles getting jalen carter....the rich gets richer. and then picking up nolan carter. dude, that team is stacked on defense. but picking up Carter was a huge win for them. i saw micah parsons react to the eagles getting carter and it was priceless...
  20. i think he was in shock. it has to be just the most surreal moment for any of them. no way to predict how it hits them to hear their name...or not to hear their name. i can't imagine.
