i forgot about petrino. coaches how many games and then says "sorry....i'm going back to college" granted he thought he was getting a mike vick team, but still that was pretty crappy.

my family that's already down there wants my little family of 4 to move down there. every time i go, and it's usually in the fall, i'm thinking...nope. not appealing to me at all for any reason. always too humid. not cheap. too many crazy people down there.

the problem isn't evero. the problem is a poo ton of injuries on an already pretty thin list of personnel. poo happens.

my family is down outside of Sarasota about 35 miles from the coast. they said the worst was over by 3am. some in the area are getting their power back on after losing it around 5-6 last night. coastal areas are probably a lot worse, but so far the damage to my family's properties doesn't seem too bad. at least their homes are ok.

You in Winston? Ran into a similar poorly managed/staffed one a few months ago. Hadn't been to one in a few years so I thought why not? Just a handful of kids in there "working" and they didn't have a clue what they were doing. No adult supervision. They were just hanging out. We might have been the only customers and I think they were annoyed that someone came in. And it wasn't anywhere near closing time. In fact I think that one in Winston is supposed to be 24 hours. Yeah...I'll take waffle House. I actually did yesterday driving back from Florida. Coffee didn't taste like usual waffle House coffee for some reason. Not quite as good as usual but overall still good breakfast food.

Why does this matter?

Better than this. I don't think the roller coaster of a season is over.

Go right ahead, but there's a better way to be that doesn't add to the hostility in the world.

I'm in Florida right now, in Myakka visiting my folks. I was supposed to fly back tomorrow morning but my flight got cancelled. Got a car reservation for in the morning so I'll have to drive through all that mess tomorrow.

Outside of Sarasota right now. Renting a car in the morning. Fortunately it's already reserved. Not looking forward to the traffic. They already issued the evacuation notice. My folks will be staying here with my brother and SiL. They've already got everything batted down and are just about ready for it. Hopefully won't be too bad.

I caught him before he went too far off the rails. It was coming. Should have waited just for the entertainment value but I'm trying to figure out how to get home from Florida tomorrow. Flight got cancelled.

Can't watch. In Florida with family. Kind of frustrating not being able to see what's going on.

Beech trees are my favorite. Super strong with an incredible root system. The "bark" I always thought was pretty neat. Smooth. My favorite part of it is the leaves, though. Iove how the just kind of turn white and hang in the trees and when you pick them up they have this fuzzy feel. Really not any trees like it. 8 know they're all different, but beech and Birch are both just awesome trees. We had a lot of both of them at the old property. One of the few things I miss about being there. We had a couple giant Beech trees growing beside a stream bed like that bottom one you posted here and you'd look at it and just be amazed at how it could hang like that without falling.

I'm actually in the Sarasota area visiting my folks for a few days. Supposed to fly back up Tuesday, but might have to go back Monday depending on when the weather starts to get bad. Not supposed to hit land until Wednesday but it did jump to what they are predicting a category 2 over night. No telling what it will actually do. Milton might be messy
