"Big men allow you to compete"

Giving the finger to need isn't always a wise philosophy.  I think you want balance.  I'm glad we didn't reach for a tackle, honestly, but at some point you can't keep ignoring the position.

TBH, I have more of a "fear" drafting dudes from these tiny FCS schools than I do their size.

This! I kno just because a person went to a small school doesnt mean be cant play in the NFL but im usually not to high on those guys in the early rounds

I went back and watched film on Benjamin, dude reminds me of AJ Green. Hes such a beast. I am 100% convinced if we had Benjamin last season we convert those missed redzone opportunities against the Cards and go 13-3.

AJ Green? ...yeah ok.

There's no denying the pure athleticism of KB if you watch his tape. The guy flies in the air. And he's strong with contested passes. 6'5 240. He can box out 5'10 cornerbacks

He fits the mold for the new WR in today's NFL

I am sure you are. i didn't read all the posts so I didn't get your meaning at first. I think I am sticking to my theory that G-man is on about a 3 year timetable for the team.

So you can't be bothered to read a whole 20 posts before throwing your own unique brand of snark into the mix?

Sounds about right.

If you like him, he will explode onto the scene. If you don't like him, he will probably never get it.

Me? I see him with a poo ton of 1st down, and TD catches. He does not have to be all pro this year. Just do what he does and he will help us win time of possession, and games.

I can live with that.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
